Been listening to Rishloo for years. I was lucky enough to see them live before I ever heard them on cd. Have seen them live countless times since. You should definitely check them out live when they start touring again (they are writing their new album and aren't doing shows right now). Some songs I would recommend checking out are (some highlights from each album): "Seven Rings Left", "Harlequin", "El Empe", "Alchemy Alice", "Eidolon Alpha"/"Omega", "Systematomatic", "Weevil Bride", "The Great Rain Beattle", "Landmines", "Dark Charade", and "WInslow".
Rishloo are without doubt, my favourite band out there. There isn't a single track I haven't liked from their albums. It's just a shame I will probably never get to see them live, as they just seem to gig in the States. I keep my fingers crossed they do come to the UK at some point in the future.
So much nostalgia. I went to their Feathergun release show at studio 7 in Seattle all those years ago. They played the entire album in one night. It was absolutely beautiful. Will always remember that show.
Sad to see the views not matching up to how good these guys are, considering the impact this band has had on my taste in music in general. I understand that other bands gather more views but I do hope you react to them more!
You can listen to anything from Rishloo, as it's all great, specially their latest 2 albums. In this particular song, I wonder if I'm the only one noticing a certain floyd vibe in the first, slower solo.
LOVE RISHLOO!!! Thanks for reacting to them! Would be awesome to see you reaxt to something off their newest album Living as Ghosts With Buildings as Teeth. The Great Rain Beatle, Dark Charade, Landmines, Salutations, Winslow, take your pick. ;D
I randomly found rishloo on youtube one day. They are amazing. Spewing i never heard of them before they the latest album out. To tame the temporal shrew is a great song
Rishloo are incredible, they have a nice developing sound throughout their albums! Doing well for themselves! You should totally check out King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Robot Stop!
Awesome reaction! Rishloo is a good one. I hope you give Karnivool another go, the live version of Themata was a bit of a misrepresentation I think. Another great band to check out is Caligula’s Horse!
Just gonna throw it out there. An unsung Aussie prog instrumental band called Serious Beak. Song suggestion would be Red (Preferably live at Hermans Bar). xx
To me , they remind me(REMIND ME...not saying exactly the same) of a cross between The Pineapple Thief, Tool, and a smidgen of Radiohead. Curious to hear more...
Holy shit, I've been suggesting this song to people who have been reacting to Tool and someone finally reacted to it. If you listen to Tool's Undertow/AEnima albums, you'll hear where a lot of people compare them to Tool.
Listening to Feathergun now... I do hear MJK influence in the vocals, but hey, why wouldn't he be influential, just as Plant, Gillan, and Dio were to those first metal bands of the late 70s and 80s. Totally normal. I always felt you could hear Jethro Tull in Maidens early albums 😬
TwinRavens Steve Harris was never reticent to admit his influences of Jethro Tull and Wishbone Ash so obvious their sound is integral to early Maiden. There are songs on Killers (Prodigal Son) and Iron Maiden (Remember Tomorrow) where you can really hear that.
Jim Newstead exactly! Love those Older albums.... I learned to play bass through learning Iron Maiden and Rush tunes...good times( 22 Acacia Ave still gives me finger cramps!😜)
Hey Jim, Awesome Video! its me again :D This time i recommend something thats not classic Rock tho sorry :( Take a Listen to the Band Katatonia, they are known for super emotional, melodic electric guitars. Check out Either "Lethean"(awesome solo) , "Takeover"(super cool riff) , ""old Heart falls"(very emotional) or "Forsaker"(The Intro of their overall highest rated Album, very heavy tho). Maybe you like it :)
Great song choice. Although it's not one of my top songs by Rishloo, it is a great introduction song and gives you a clear insight to their sound and range. More astounding prog metal/rock bands; Soen, Karnivool, Caligula's Horse, The Butterfly Effect, and Riverside. @JimNewstead you should specifically do this song; Garden Of Sankhara by Monuments its a hard song in a good way. - Not suggesting based on this video FYI.
Jim actually got to communicate with them. the guy that basically wrote it is a writer and he wrote a story that's totally fantasy so some parts you're just not going to understand because it's in his imagination. 😇
Okay dude I really like your reaction. Because this band has their own sound. I don't know how they could be compared to tool. The Dredge has a great song called same ole road. If you layered same ole road, about 20 times then you might have Rishloo. Ha ha. Same ole road is the excellent song with excellent lyrics. But you cannot compare the two bands. Also they were a one-hit wonder, as far as I know. Ty
The best band and vocalist that never blew up.
Tool, Rishloo and Karnivool, my holy sacred triangle.

I forgot how good Downhill was. You should listen to Just a Ride. I think it’s their best song.
I'll tell you this: Feathergun is my all time fave album in the universe! Listen to it in it's entirety, you will not be disappointed.
I would have to agree with you on this one. Feathergun is a damn masterpiece!
Absolutely!🤘🏻
Some of my favorite music related memories is opening for these guys at three different gigs on the Western US Front

Rishloo! Yes! Amazing guys, met them in Vancouver. This song is gold. Just a quick, note you for to mention Jesse on drums.
Fantastic band!
Immediately hit the like button that moment when the piano kicked in. I'll be checking out the album for sure. Very pleasant surprise.
I just found your channel a few weeks ago when you listened to Existential Reckoning. I just saw this video, and think it's time for more Rishloo.
Thanks, I think you’re probably right!
Another great one by rishloo is “scissorlips”
You can listen to anything from Rishloo, as it's all great, specially their latest 2 albums. In this particular song, I wonder if I'm the only one noticing a certain floyd vibe in the first, slower solo.

Great songs indeed but "Just a ride" has to be my favorite of that album.
Awesome band
8:48 onward. That emotion! That fucking buildup! That release at the end. Powerful vocals and magic!!
RISHLOO, Keyhole in the sky
Soen - Savia...I think you'll like it. Thx for your reactions and music!
Soen is amazing.
Ty Mike!!! You have excellent taste 🎶❤️🎶❤️🎶❤️💯🎸
I randomly found rishloo on youtube one day. They are amazing. Spewing i never heard of them before they the latest album out. To tame the temporal shrew is a great song
Check out Weevil Bride by Rishloo live. It’s a breathtaking performance
Landmines from Rishloo for sure!
Late to the party, but just came out of months of obsessively playing the album....every song is excellent!
Rishloo are incredible, they have a nice developing sound throughout their albums! Doing well for themselves! You should totally check out King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Robot Stop!
Karnivool - Deadman + Change = near tool-like experience.
In fact, entire ''Sound Awake'' album is great.
Please please please do Rishloo - Eidolon Trilogy!
Awesome reaction! Rishloo is a good one. I hope you give Karnivool another go, the live version of Themata was a bit of a misrepresentation I think. Another great band to check out is Caligula’s Horse!
steveoooooo09 - Karnivool !!!
Arcane as well!
Also, listen to Dredg another very good band and Karnivool also, within the same sound :)
This one was right up your alley too........
I think us all got a little surprised when first heared rishloo and realized all their song are good XD
Rishloo - Just A Ride!
Pierre Woodman now doing two of my favorite things
The self titled track from the album is really nice.
Just gonna throw it out there. An unsung Aussie prog instrumental band called Serious Beak. Song suggestion would be Red (Preferably live at Hermans Bar). xx
Dig it
Thank you for reacting to it! You should also react to Soen! Every Soen song is good but you can try Orison, also Leprous - Rewind
Soen!!!!
To me , they remind me(REMIND ME...not saying exactly the same) of a cross between The Pineapple Thief, Tool, and a smidgen of Radiohead. Curious to hear more...
Rishloo 🤘🏽♥️
(Tip: A great band is little known, The Apex Theory, a video reaction would be cool!)
Achei mais alguém que curte Rishloo! Pena ser uma banda pouco conhecida por aqui
Просто нет слов, одно уау!
9:15 🤘 my emotion as well 😂 Love Rishloo

Listen to the album Terra Fames, some of it sounds like it could have been from A Perfect Circle. But they do their own thing and it's awesome.
Finally !

idgf about u, but song is nice, through composed and has awesome vox
Their best song is probably "Dark Charade". You should try it
Muse? Ok Subscribed. 🎼🎶❤️💯
You should react to some SikTh
Jim actually got to communicate with them. the guy that basically wrote it is a writer and he wrote a story that's totally fantasy so some parts you're just not going to understand because it's in his imagination. 😇
Play the Feathergun in the garden of the sun
react to dredg - the canyon behind her
"Of the Room" Dredg
Tool influence @ 4:13 in my opinion. You mentioned not hearing Tool, you should here though.
I really dig their terra fame album!!! Bass is ridiculous on it...
when looking for soundalikes, try FAIR TO MIDLAND.
Rishlo are an amazing underrated band. You should check out ' Dark Charade' there best song in my opinion. ua-cam.com/video/438WP_i6EKY/v-deo.html

Please react to Defecto: Endlessly Falling (supporting Rammstein)
TOOOOOOL!
Band is fenomenal but this kind of reaction videos are really nonsense.
What's nonsense is your spelling of phenomenal. Lol
