That was insane. I’ll admit I didn’t not make it through the second set. I may have been too tired from yesterday’s activity. I’m not giving up though! Thanks John
It was intense. I rowed it in spite of the fact, that I don't like HIIT at max. But from time to time it is just needed, I understand. I did it on top of digging the garden today. Nice day it was! Thank you!
Great workout, made it to the end too and really felt the discomfort towards the end of the second set. Now I feel that I’ve earned my rest day tomorrow 😊RowAlong Treasure Hunt
I’d got into the habit of doing mid-tier rows to the exclusion of the slow stuff and the real max efforts. So, I decided to follow the new plan… 2 x 15 mins at UT2 was no problem, but this one was hard! First ten intervals were ok but finished number 20 at 169bpm (theoretical max = 170) so I definitely felt it. Thanks, John. Keep ‘em coming! #getfitwithrowalong
Completed both sets. Was in zone 5 hr more than 6 on account of feeling dizziness coming on so I backed off oh so slightly. Absolutely essential to do though. TY John!!
#getfitwithrowalong really great series! Pushed it really hard to manage (close to) same split for all of them. And the stretching at the end is also super nice to have that commented on what to do exactly and where I should feel the stretch etc. Please keep this up even if it may get repetitive - it is much better to follow than the small video in the corner 🙂
Great workout, thanks John! Could not have pushed through second set without your help! Also thanks for talking through heart rate. Was helpful to know that you were not reaching close to max until end of 1st set middle of 2d.
#getfitwithrowalong. Wasn't sure if I could gut it out after the first 10, but stuck with it. Made it through both sets (barely... on that last one I was sure that the timer had stopped.) Great series. I'm using a very inexpensive magnetic rower, but I'm already seeing improvements in my VO2max. Not bad for a 54yr old guy. Thanks for a great series. My summer goal is to complete the series.
Great workout, very tough to finish. But it was rewarding. First 10, break and then #11 I did with John. Then my cell phone rang in the middle of #12 and even while ignoring it, the YT video was frozen so had no choice but to do the final 8 solo. Target per ergZone was 1:41. First 10 averaged 1:40, 2nd 10 averaged 1:39.3. Each was in the 150m range, which was a nice benchmark to attain 15 seconds in. Stroke rate was 38 avg,. In terms of aneraeobic, Garmin didn't seem to think so, but sadly their algorithms are more geared to running and cycling so I don't listen. My HR at the end was in Z5 under any model, so mission accomplished.
After a 8k run in the morning (sometimes I wish I could just take the dog on a row), I now peaked at 178 bpm. Feels like #gettingfitbyrowing Would be great if you could include the UA-cam link in the Ergzone workout description.
#getfitwithrowalong just completed 2nd row of series. Awesome! On a water rower at level 2 of 6. Planning on redoing series w each water level increase. Every other day workouts, so my goal is to be in awesome rowing shape by this time next year. Aldo, have you ever run or rowed w mouthtape or purposefully only nasal breathing. It really helps w recovery for me.
#getfitwithrowalong this was a tough one, I was ready to call it a day after the first 10, but after the 2 minute rest I thought just one more, then another one and before I knew it I had completed the second set of 10 😂
Apologies if you're confused as to why this has appeared again. The graphic was wrong on the original upload.

Absolutely adore this row, thank you so very much
W.O.W. Going to sleep like a bay bee 2-nite. Thanks for the Zone V row John! #getfitwithrowalong
Ug. We were both on different machines. At hotel on Stairmaster wind but did it anyway. Thank you John 2 (squared).

Wow this kicked my ass more than anything since I used to do CrossFit. First time I’ve collapsed on the floor (twice!) in a long time.
#getfitwithrowalong - workout 2 done & dusted . Thanks John for a great session .
Good to see you’re still enjoying it.
I managed 1.38 spilts x 20. I was mentally bargaining with you on the second round on number 7…anything for extra rest!!!!!!
Wow whatta workout! Honestly happy to hear you panting like me...nice to know you are human!
Enjoyed rowing along with you on a WaterRower! I like that you’ll be alternating videos on concept2 and WaterRower. #getfitwithrowalong
Loved this one, was super hard, but somehow felt good to see you hurting a bit as well John !!
Haha, well if anything else, we struggle through these together!
Great workout, this was tough! Really enjoying the series John #getfitwithrowalong
This one was tough! I made it through though, max effort from beginning to end. Thanks for a great workout!
#getfitwithrowalong
Keep the Waterrower workouts coming :)
That was tough but great! Thanks John! #getfitwithrowalong

Well done. Data is interesting, but just because Garmin doesn’t agree it’s Z5, it’s good to know you know you were there.

#getitwithrowalong. Shoulders are better so doing this plan but at low drag factor. Felt good today
Ah!! I knew someone emailed me about shoulders. I can't see it in my inbox. But now I know who to search for....
Good one. HR zone ❤️🔥 🤣 #getfitwithrowalong
#getfitwithrowalong weirdly enjoyed that. 😂

Killed it #getfitwithrowalong
Well done!!
I just suggested something very similar on your latest video before seeing this, so I deleted my post.
Jesus...😢 Then a couple of rounds on the c2Dyno. 😅
Well done. It’s a tough row!!! And if you’re following it with strength work; that’s gonna be tougher!
Rowalong Treasure Hunt
#getfitwithrowalong 👍
#getfitwithrowalong Tough one ......
#getfitwithrowalong. Made both sets and saw sub 2min splits which this old guy doesn't often seems
🤮great workout but that hurt. Will do it again 😊
