My HR was at max. As usually, the most difficult moments were when rest phase finished and HR was still in the 4-th and 5-th zone. But the real value in your plans is not what you do, because it is an easy scheme: light - medium - light - hard, roughly 30 min / workout. The motivation you give is pure, 24k gold. I am afraid i would never row such a hard workout like today's if it was not you.

I only say that to illustrate how much I think I've improved by using these sessions. I kept pace with all of the intervals except the last 30 second one. I'm not sure what your spm was during that one, but I could feel my form going to $4!+ so I just backed it off and kept a 30spm as best I could. I'm going to try this one again! I was definitely breathing heavily after each interval. Thanks for a great series. Hoping to watch the %body fat fall and %muscle mass and VO2max rise by the end of the month.

Do you mean doing the same workout ? I’d vary things a bit. Not just because you’ll get bored with the same thing, but your body will get tired from too much exertion. Try at least to alternate workouts like this with long, slow rows that will let you recover while still building your fitness.

Did this as a running workout, left me pretty sore for a few days but was good, I didnt realise it was 5 x 4 x 3 and did 5 x 5 x 5
