I know. Thanks for sharing! I now have been based 4 years and already seen the change so I can imagine. I guess I need to do another one and show the change?
Sara really inspiring. I am 49 have a family, 2 grown up kids..I too #wanttoleave ...but my kids starting their lives now..I know they will buy this viewpoint, once they grow, for now...they arent seen that world, which I dont like... Other thing that I am scared about is Old age. In India we dont have Pensions nor covered by state on Medical front.. what will happen if I now spend all my money
This was so well made! My boyfriend and I want to travel to NZ and were interested in Raglan! This video gave me goosebumps and now i think im in love with the town. Keep up the amazing work!!
...I was in raglan in january, and heard a few grumbles about it changing etc...CHLOE & SEBASTIAN moving there etc...it's not as bad as Byron Bay by any stretch, but bewaaaare! when you see artisan tampons on sale,
ComboverSoul tig Places change. Population grows . It’s a fact. And it won’t stop. As long as we learn to respect the locals and their places as well as consume their products we can all contribute to keep maintaining it as it is :)
@@SaraGuix hope so! because this area is awash with "yummy words" like local community organic respect one love bro sustainable etc but it still becomes more and more of a crowded unmellow zoo, while still advertising itself as a chilled out groovy zone,,,,,, that it has no longer been since about August 14th, 2008
Beware of any place that is seen as, or advertises itself as a HAPPENIN place to be. Just about to leave Byron area in Aus for this reason. The joint's turned into a corny, fake cheeselord's paradise. Groovy couples appearing in little free magazines with their artisan-whatever business etc ugh BEWAAAAAARE!!!
@@SaraGuix good ... it is a lovely place NZ is special that's why I'm returning there after having spent most of my life in Aus.....been back for small and medium-sized holidays in the last few years and always thought, "this place, these people are way more interesting, gentle and creative..."
You seem to be surprisingly uneducated on the definition of gentrification. Organic coffee has ZERO do to with gentrification in the wider scheme of things. Most cafes made the switch to organic/fairtrade coffee over 15 years ago, as a response to the global shift in awareness. Sorry you can't just drool on in life without thinking about what you're doing anymore.
Such a vibe you captured Sara.
We are blessed to live in this sweet paradise.

Did I hear First Aid Kit singing?
YES :)
Hmmm the gentrification has started...it'll be another Byron bay
Squizzy Bollocks I strongly disagree 😊
@@SaraGuix Mate they're selling organic coffee......all you used to get was a meat pie and a crate of Waitemata.....lol
Squizzy Bollocks And? May I know why is that bad?
