Raymond Pauls is a legend back in USSR, I love his compositions for Laima Vaikule
I see Funked Up East upload - I like
Ну, наконец-то Funked up проявился)) и опять с великолепной музыкой, музыкой моего земляка. Paldies , thank you very much, grazie и все такое ))
Awesome thanks..been a fan of Raimonds when I found pretty much all his recordings in the 90s at a thift store in Michigan. Never heard anything on those records quite like this Jazz though. Great stuff. Most of the stuff I am familar with are funky slices for TV or Soundtrack.
С возвращением маэстро

Fantastic. Thank you
Весьма достойная запись,хотелось бы знать остальных участников этой студийной сессии Это середина 60-х и Раймонд явно находился под впечатлением от Монка и Сильвера.

choice
Pauls is a classical trained pianist, some of his estrada compositions are very interesting and groovy, but he can't definitively play jazz, as very clear on these recordings. there are much better jazz pianists from area of former soviet union.
Wrong.
what is jazz for you?
classicaly trained pianists are not problematic, they play weel. If you hate Kapustin or those like him then you hate jazz
Sill, very pleasing album.
