Australia permits use of 915 MHz to 928 MHz wireless network frequency band without a license being required. A simple google search will confirm this for you. So this isn't illegal in Australia so long as the device keeps to those freqs.

Get some directional yagi antenna tuned to 920Mhz, they are around 8-12dBi, keep them both high, it should improve A LOT working distance, thanks !

The low frequency world give these good penetration through obstacles but it can be so hard to guess what product would work best in different environments workout actually trying them all out.

What's the range like with a directional antenna on each end?

Were you able to assess the long term stability (weeks) of this connection for say 100 m? (Not at most extreme distance)

Such a cool device that I'm really trying to figure out a way to make it work. I've been seriously trying to figure out how to get Internet on the beach and this maybe he a convoluted solution.
Phone to travel router to this transmitter to receiver on the beach. I there theirs a cylinder based one that's USB c now.

These are cheap but if you have line of sight you'd be much better off with a 2.4 or even 5Ghz device, much higher speeds and much higher quality products if buying Ubiquiti.

    Why not allowed in Australia?
the band? what else is in that band?

Because cellular companies already use the 800-900Mhz frequency for 3g/4g. I dont know specifically what frequency are free to use in australia.

Wi-Fi HaLow is allowed in Australia, but limited to the 918 -926 MHz band, however, if it's tuned to the US it probably covers 900 - 928 MHz as the allowable ISM band in North America and therefore couldn't be used in Australia.

with ants affixed to the outside of home will be in the realm of 5km on 801.11 a and and 801.11b, 802.11n is for upto 10km
these are technically wifi extenders designed to be be paired as a EOP link bridge within the home though personally with the current standards of POE i be inclined to deploy a poe switch mounted 2.5Gb wifi.. per room
WIRELESS extenders for a baby monitor may be
I would have to wonder if it was designed to run as a fallover device operations frequencies 750-950MHz 4gand amareur radio paired with 1 those app based emergency services that die in the in the arse once you key up on its operating frequency..
be careful of the crap you buy off of amazon as you might need a amateur radio license to play with it
though anything past 1km should likely be run on some form dish network system

Your car creates a magnetic field when it's turned on due to the battery using the car body as a ground. You need to turn your car off while conducting these tests, otherwise your range will be much shorter.

@@KieranMahoney My PC is about 100m from my shed , I run my main PC and the internet from my house, and have 3 PC's in the shed for testing, weather server and CCTV hub, i want to connect these 3 servers to my lan network without running a Ethernet cable underground to my shed. So i put the TX unit on the roof (on a pole with Phone booster antenna)with a cable to my LAN switch in the house, and the RX unit on my shed with a cable running to a 5 Port ethernet switch, and then cables to each of the servers, then i can access each of servers from my house PC, move data etc, Run the desktops using RDP, and from the shed access the internet for updates etc.
