@@cindycertified OMG it was so freaking good 👍. I'm glad I made a big batch and saved half because we're having it again tonight!! I can't leave a good recipe alone so you know I had to put my spin on it but I just replaced the celery salt with old bay, added a little bit of fresh red onion, jalapenos, 2 tsp lemon juice and a splash of worsterchire. My husband literally woke up at 530 this morning talking about having it again with eggs 😂 even for breakfast that he never eats. Tonight I will pair it with some eggs and grits.

There’s a company I use if I can’t find a particular spice called “Whole Spice.” I’ve been to Lake Placid NY, and there was a very cool grocery store there called “ Price Chopper”. I have it in my description under “ directions” .. however in my early video “ nervous “ in front of the camera days I didn’t realize I forgot it until I had already put them in the oven and had to take them out to put it on!😳🫣🤪. So.. unfortunately not in the video .. but in the instructions 🤗.

Hi! I would think cream cheese would make more of a dip style consistency. I would think too that even room temp cream cheese being a lot thicker consistency than Mayo could break up your nice lumps of crab too much when stirring it all together. HOWEVER… I like shaking up culinary norms once in a while ! So maybe try a small batch so if you don’t like it you haven’t used up too much of a normally pricey ingredient ( crab) . Maybe try adding some sour cream to it also to lighten up the texture if you have it. If you give it a go, send a comment on what you think ! 😁
Hi! You can spoon the extra on top of the crab before it goes in the oven and it makes more of a golden top ( crust) but won’t be crusty ! It hides the crab so for video sake I didn’t do it 😇! Thanks for asking and I hope you give it a shot and totally love it!! Have a nice day!
There are several substitutions you can make. One is all sour cream or plain Greek yogurt . Or add 1/4 c cream cheese to the sour cream . Or there’s this version: In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant. Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in the grated Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth. Add the lemon juice and Dijon mustard, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer the sauce for a few minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens to your desired consistency. Remove from heat and let it cool slightly before serving. Crème Fraiche is yet another option 🤗
