The attempt to get rid of property taxes is a maneuver by the super wealthy, who own multiple high value properties. Laws that would get rid of property taxes and increase sale taxes would essentially redistribute that tax burden primarily to the poor and middle class. While the dollar amount of sales taxes paid by the wealthy would be higher, they could easily afford that because their income is much higher. The poor, the middle-class, and even the upper middle-class would see their discretionary spending reduced because they would be spending a greater percentage of their income to cover those increased sales taxes.

It is really unfortunate there are no Pecos Cantaloupes. I grew up eating them, their flavor was better at least in my opinion, then the melons coming from other places. Commissioner Miller is someone who understands our Agriculture Issues and water is so important.
