I think what makes Fast Track better in some situations is his bone structure and posture and the way he moves. XLR8 may be faster, but he requires a long ass tail to move and direct himself (hes a dinosaur, after all), and his hunched over posture makes it more awkward for him to punch things. We see him punch things alright in Classic, but if you look at all Fasttracks scenes, his hand to hand combat is clearly more natural and consistently effective.
In defense of Fasttrack he's more beastial a combo of speed, and strength and it just depends Ben's personality at the time, and what set of 10 the Omnitrix recent activity ben uses the most hence in Alien force/ultimate alien the roster consisted the new aliens Lodestar, Rath, Nanomech, Water Hazard, Terraspin, NRG, armadrillo, Amfibian, Fastrack, Clockwork, Chamalien, Shocksquatch, Eatle, and Jury Rigg. Thus why he used FastTrack more in UAF, and personality too cause as 10 year old ben he's immature and values just speed and durability to brace for impact in general. 16 Year old ben is more mature and Fastrack doens't come off as childish more atheletic "aww man here we go again" attitude.

I think fasttrack had potential. My main gripe was that they almost never mentioned XLR8 throughout the series. If you're not going to compare the main speedster alien to this new one then whats the point of making fasttrack

I feel like fasttrack was created for the only purpose of plot convince, since pretty much all of teenage ben's aliens were just replacements or extensions of ben's orignal aliens

There was an episode where fast-track was racing against a missile and he was struggling just to keep up. Where bens other speed aliens wouldn't have a problem with that.

Meanwhile, XLR8 casually moves at 500 mph and even when pushing himself can only move at 888 mph. Fasttrack’s high speeds are why he can’t stop. Edit: I know this comment is already a tangent, but evidence to how fast fasttrack is shown in the rain fasttrack catches up to a missile going Mach 12 w . In fact, you show the clip to prove that he crashes didn’t bring up the fact that he caught up with a missile.
Yeah yeah I saw that but that was just a fan who used the speed of the rocket to calculate how fast he was going. I also had another look at the Ben 10 wiki and it specifically says XLR8 (Classic) is faster than the Citrakayah (Fasttrack species). Which I can believe because we've seen Fasttrack run at speeds so fast that he seems to stop time and I haven't confirmed this but Future Ben (Ben10K) in the OG series mentions running around the world in seconds as XLR8. But that is when Ben is older and more powerful. I think this is a topic that deserves more discussion. Let me know what you think.

XLR8, the faster you move the more mass you gain, if you move at the speed of sound without super strength, you’ll hit far harder than somebody moving at 100 mph with super strength.

Yeah, that was a rough one, it actually blew up. Xlr8 could've basically frozen time and caught it.
xlr8 also has a tail which helps much more for balance when running he is also highly armored in Osteoderms and note he's been shown to run at 888 mph
