Rachel is always top rate brilliant, but this ong, specifically is just my personal favorite. I watch it ever time it comes up on my feed. I've started singing along.
I had never heard Vincent until a few days ago, so when I heard it, I slowly went, “hang on, this is the melody from Hen do on a train!”. Congrats Rachel, you almost ruined Don Maclean for me:).
My friends are, at this very moment, having a hen do on a train. I went to share this to them, but Facebook says it's against their community rules. They must have heard 'Hindu.'
I know she's taking the piss but... she actually has a pretty good voice... A little too much vibrato, but... yeah, the girl can sing... I'd like to hear her - go into rock mode. I always liked her, but this is a new side - piano playing, singing... She's defo nervous - and rightly so - its a helluva prospect taking on something like this... but she plays well, sings well and performs.... what more could you want? Got a feeling she has a little Pat Bennetar / Joan Jett under that hood.... The odd hint at a rasp was enough to make me think... Hmmmm...... rock godess? I'd listen to her sing... actually, over her comedy.... She's funny AS well, but I prefer her singing....
I'm assuming that you don't understand the phrase because you're not someone who speaks British or Irish English. If you do understand the phrase, and you're asking about its origins, then this comment is a complete waste of your time. Do is British slang for party. A hen do is a party held for a woman shortly before she gets married. The male equivalent is a stag do (presumably because cock do sounds wrong). I'm not sure why they chose to name the parties after those animals.
So, you didn't like it. Fine. You prefer a comedy from fifty years ago that I'm sure lot of other people find dull and unfunny. That's fine too. But I'm always intrigued to wonder why you think anyone cares that you don't like it? You're not the official elected representative to speak on all our behalf about what is or isn't funny in comedy. All comedy is funny to somebody, all comedy is unfunny to somebody. This wasn't you're taste. Move on.
lying in bed thinking, "perhaps i'll glass you now". had to cue it up.
She should do a cover of the original song "Vincent".
Lovely singing voice.
Absolutely brilliant
I saw you late night at the Hay Festival years ago and I’m so pleased you’ve got the following you deserve! Love what you do!

Neddie: One question, Wal: what's a hen-do?
Wallace Greenslade: *_IT LAYS EGGS!!!_*
I DON'T WISH TO KNOW THAT!!!! 🤣
You don't get many mentions of Wallace Greenslade these days!
I had never heard Vincent until a few days ago, so when I heard it, I slowly went, “hang on, this is the melody from Hen do on a train!”. Congrats Rachel, you almost ruined Don Maclean for me:).
I discovered Vincent's song because of you. Thank you, it is so beautiful.
This is amazing
So talented. Fair play
I think it's rather good. I mean trying to play the piano and sing at the same time is really really hard. Plus, I just generally found it funny.
Best song ever
“This first song this is about travelling on the train.”
Well I thought it was good
It gave me several sensible chuckles.
pretty much laughed through the whole thing
You must be a little slow
You must be a little misogynist
4th time coming back here 😁
16th time for me now 😂
Brilliant comedian

😂😂😂😂😂😂
“ Vincent “
Don Maclean
... Very much in the style of Victoria Wood, stand up and piano. Spur of the hour decision to go and see her tomorrow night in London!
Love Don McClean

Yeah it’s nerves but it’s comedy not a music gig, works with her personality too, and the tone of the story. It’s legit funny 😁
“Voices like a foghorn in a drain” 😂
I thought the extra vibrato was parte of the character 😆
i thought it was hilarious so i don’t under these comments and even if you don’t find it funny keep that to yourself
She has an unusual voice. Not unpleasant but different
Sorry - but that has got to be the worst-draping skirt I have ever seen.
@Wendy Knox also, she's f'ing terrible
Makes you wish Victoria Wood was still with us...
Yeah, she might have been too nervous for this.
P.S. Where does "hen do" come from?

@@davimurph, thank you for the explanation!
I am asking about the origin of the phrase, indeed.
@@mortschubert3909 whoops!
@@davimurph Oh, a hen party.
I was thinking of Wallace Greenslade's hen-do warning.
@@Kryojenix you're going to have to explain that one. I don't know as much about the Goons as I should.
A cute chick . . .
She ripped off the tune of Vincent by Don McLean
no shit, that's the joke
Yeah... so...
I think the traditional riposte is "whoosh".
Yes we know, Miss Marple
Very Poor mans Victoria wood.
If you're going to make an edited comment - at least edit to correct your spelling.
Brutal . That was pretty awful. Bet the BBC love it.
Worst performance ever, didn't laugh even once... 👎👎👎👎👎
Would you like a medal?
@@freddiepitts7611 Will it be a gold one❓😊
Probably the worst comedian I’ve ever seen
Couldn’t raise a smile , not funny enough.
How tf does one go from yes, minister... to this? What a disgrace.
