I heavily agree with not having Ravenna be the main spawn point, It gets on my nerves that I have to wear the blank cape and hood every single time I respawn, and the camp system is borderline useless since it doesn't work in a majority of the islands anyway, the ONLY time I've ever used camps is to respawn at Munera Garden
The purpose of that is your a wanted criminal there, it adds to the lore more and so that the player remembers he's branded as a bad guy at the bronze empire.
I really wanted a bank house/NPC, its very frustating loosing thousands of galleons bc of NPCs/Players, plus, the hunting system also kinda sucks, loosing insane ammounts of fame while recieving not much from it its quite annoying.
I loved the bank feature but the only part that annoyed me in AA was that if you had a bounty you were not able to access your bank as easily from someone who had a postive reputation
Yeah. That indeed sucks man. Not to mention that a clan could only hold so much at a time until you rank it up, which seems like it takes absolute ages to do from my limited experience in it.
i used have 350K fame and down to 250K fame cause i die on a player that hunt me, and i only get 5K fame back when i did it kill the player that hunt me
I think all the things are planned out already if you check the trello for arcane odyssey something are planning to come out. The all thing I don’t like is fighting in the ocean and not able to recall your boat when you die and not able to leave and comeback to the game and not be in the last place you went
@@gingerfann67the thing is, every time i do cargo i get called a cargo demon even though i do it like twice a week, and then some camper with explosion magic will ruin my 2k worth of cargo AND kill me, so i lose 350 more.
Your map redesign seems decent and some of the changes I think should definitely be in the game. However, I have 3 main criticisms. Firstly, frostmill is almost twice the distance from redwake compared to how it used to be, making the longest journey that you might take a rowboat for even longer. Second, fort talos is right in the middle of several other islands, meaning whatever way you rotate it, its undefended side is always going to be really obvious compared to it normally bordering the dark sea. Finally, whitesummit is much further from any important island than it was, making it harder for criminals. With a few tweaks the map redesign could be a really good suggestion, just don't forget to add goso jungle.
Yet the map is not really that good of a lore wise since theres bunch of things like for exanple how you think a neviro on his cracked sailboat gonna sail back to ravenna (aldo thing that pissed me off a bit of him saying"story will countinue on west to more populated area" when we are litteraly going to nimbus sea which is south of bronze sea) The white summit is sure annoying for assasins but eh atleast its somewhat fine with that "criminal zone" far fron everyone Frostmill placement is i will agree with you stupid because you go there with a rowboat or a sailboat The small islands being to east is kind of not best since redwake port is to west Also he didnt talk about sky islands so i imagine a level 40~ falling to the endgame place after accidentaly dashing and falling to mountain
Another nitpick is that the arcane universe takes a alot from one piece, and the islands having seemingly random biomes is due to how islands are in one piece, with each island having one main season. For the most part. (Wano)
I think Munera should be closer to Akursious keep because lore reasons. The Munera’s secret probably hints to it being an arena constructed and used by Neviro’s kingdom before it was destroyed
the combat alone took 6 months for vetex to complete, he is NOT reworking it, as hes probably making more bosses in the dark sea with that combat style
And also balance issues, where builds like Crystal+Iron Leg or Explosion+Thermo Fist Warlocks can just straight up DELETE your entire HP with landing one-two hits in a succession, or Light Conjurers who are so fast its almost impossible to land hit on them, or Warriors and Warlords with their ability spam without much endlag and decent mobility, while builds like Berserkers have to suffer from the lack of reliable ranged kit (only Axe-slash and Shot are not enough from what i heard) and Mages, who arent using some metamancing stuff, are bound to suffer from lack of mobility and damage, without good options to gain distance with melee builds and snares dont help enough when you dont have something like Ash or Poison magic to make a gas wall to deny some area and atleast somehow make enemy take more time to reach you.
@@BrevnoPolenovich its pretty balanaced tbh the fighting style has the least range on all of its moves and yes i have tested everysingle one the bleeding effect doesnt synergies with any of the elements cuz of a bug so with warlock you just lose out on damage and its has the most endlag making it the slowest fighting style so it is balanced look at thermo, explosion for example thats kidna broken
Ah yes, The Shark Egg, the one egg that almost made me give up on Easter Event. I honestly dunno how hard it was for builds that are either weapons/fighting styles based and hybrid to achieve that egg, or for some kind of mages, but for me, a Explosion + Ash mage, it was absolute hell. First of all is that my magics, neither of them, worked underwater, my main source of damage and utility were absolutely useless. Second reason was the spawn rate of sharks, when event just started, there was a giant amount of sharks of all kinds, like two White Eyes at the same time in same place, all because of some memory leak issue, that was quickly fixed, before the fix though, it was almost impossible to get egg because if even tried to dip my finger in water - millions of sharks are swarmed me to death, and i couldnot wipe them with magic, but after the fix, the problem went complete opposite - there was no sharks to hunt, and even if there were some, then they werent the ones who drops egg. And of course the most annoying part was trying to find the goddamn way to beat the shark to death, because Poison Jaws, Megalodons and White Eyes with Lurkers cant be beated by me with fists or melee, becsuse they just instantly deplete my hp to 0, and not only that, i also had to FIND one and kill it fast snough before it swims opposite direction into nowhere or despawns, the only reason i got this egg in time is because i found lonely lurker shark in distance and shoot it with might of couple of guns, took me about a week or so to finish even purely because of shark egg, screw it. Hope Vetex wont make anymore such events where one of elements is purely based on RNGesus mood.
I think a strategy you could have tried would have been to get a musket or flintlock to bait the shark. After that you would have had to get on the boat and use the harpoon. If you didn't have a harpoon you would need to get one by asking someone who doesn't have a magic build if they could give you a blueprint.
@@lycanthropyhamerworth515 I used the gun strategy, the problem was finding the shark that would drop that egg, and its only dropped by Megalodons, Lurkers and Tiger Sharks, which are really rare and hard to find.
@@BrevnoPolenovich Then I guess my suggestion would be to find one of the big locations such as the deep sea spot outside harvest island. The reason for that is that big diving locations tend to spawn sharks especially while a player is searching them. While I was searching a deep sea location since I am trying to get the deep sea explorer title since I guess I am a masochist. Any point is while I was in the location a white eyes spawned if front of me and scared the shit out of me. I still am surprised it did not agro on me.
honestly the falling star event sounds like such a good idea, it would encourage large fights instead of them rarely happening when a clan tries to contest an island
things i hate about ao: -King calvus (you understand me dont lie) -That one bug that make you bald when disguised -where the fuck is my clover ? ive open 2875 chests ! -Pelion rift ? what the hell is it used for ? -Random LAg-gg Sp-p-p-pike -*goes into water* the random 10 million shark spawning: -second awakening when ? -Invisible whirlpool -Angry Water during night (not exactly i love it) -Bad luck i got 0 loot after killin elius 10 times otherwise even tho it seems like a lot, i love this game cause everything else is something i apreciate (random dudes killing me for example cause this means that i have to learn how to adapt myself to fight them)
My biggest gripe with the egg hunt was the RNG without any sort of pity system. I would have completed it too if it weren't for the fucking bronze egg. I did multiple legendary charts and never got the egg. Anyway, I'm never doing treasure charts again.
bronze egg and bounty egg was the only 2 i lacked i said to my self i get it tomorrow (easter event ended the very next day and i havent got valkyrie 💀)
The funniest part was I got the egg from completing multiple common charts, not legendary charts, because it only counts to give the egg at the end of the chart, not at the parts of it. But yeah, having RNG in trying to get something limited, is a recipe for disaster.
Look man, you didn't even need to do legendary charts. I got mine from a common treasure chart, in retrospect why did you do legendary charts in the first place
tbh i don't see the problem, the egg hunt was for giving players that are willing to do all these things to get a rare item they will be able to trade with in the future
My problems with the game is pvp and the spike in difficulty once you start fighting lord elius along with the fact that most bosses teleport around and it makes them super hard to hit while they deal tons of damage and as for pvp it’s not balanced at all like a mage being able to melt you in a couple of hits. I still like the game but I just wished that these where fixed
When I first played I couldn't kill any bosses alone after Lord Elius. When I fought King Calvus at level 110 I was getting destoried then a decked out 125 joins in and it still takes multipule healing breaks and hiding behind pillars for five-ten minutes. Like I get that he is the last big boss before you're first awakening but that is also the problem. You're skills aren't as refined.
For your first criticism, I do agree that a lot of the gaps between islands are very large, but I feel like giving the entire map a huge overhaul like that wouldn't be super good and would throw off navigation for a lot of people, as well as possibly complicate the path between islands the storyline takes, which at the moment is roughly a zig-zag. I feel like shifting some positions of islands that aren't story prevalent would be okay, and adding some new islands to fill in the very large gaps would be fine. Vetex already does have plans for adding new islands, such as Fort Castrum, and he has added a new island and shifted the position of Akursius keep into one of the more open areas of the map, making it a lot closer to Whispering Caverns, so I think that it's more likely Vetex will add a few more wilderness islands (or maybe even a town-like island) in the large gaps between areas. For your second one, a lot of the things you mentioned ARE things planned on the AO trello, almost to exact. Ghost ships, legendary ships (or miniboss ships), island shipwrecks, meteors that give loot are all things planned on the trello. I feel like a Poseidon shrine could be something else that could tie into things like lost/ancient scrolls, where maybe you can find a very rare scroll that gives you a riddle to an underwater location that has a statue of a Greek god with a chest that lets you obtain a randomized lost or ancient magic scroll, or a lost fighting style, or even a legendary weapon. As for books, the new update added two new ones that are findable at Ravenna and the new island, but I think it's planned for other books to be findable as well, the Myriad is just there to explain books that are about characters that aren't in the War Seas, like Trigno or Arthur the Cursebeard. For underwater combat, my bigger gripe for it is that underwater combat is insanely hard for strength builds and sometimes weapon builds, and is almost near impossible for heat-based magics or magics that explode on contact with water, as it ends up making diving down for chests near impossible, all while the shark hunting equipment you have to find in sealed chests ends up being way too weak to do anything to most of the sharks. I do think it would definitely be hard to balance out the ability for fighting styles and weapons to fight underwater, but at the very least I feel like the shark hunting attachments should be buffed in some way. If Vetex doesn't want the shark hunting attachments to do a high damage at the level they are shown to be, then I think he should make it so the ones obtainable currently are instead sold at shipwrights or fishmongers, and instead replace the ones in sealed chests with higher level bronze ones to justify them dealing higher damage. For the one about Auctions, I'm not sure how it's development is currently going or how it's being developed, but I don't think we'll see auctions for a while. It's meant to be a market where you can sell things across servers that other people can bid on, and it's seemed to be in progress for quite some time. I do hope we get it some update, but I don't think it's as integral as other things mentioned before, and I could wait for a bit longer for it.
I honestly think the map should be bigger. with the amount of people are said to inhabit some of these islands they feel way to small and close together. Would make a lot more sense for the islands to be spread out more from each other and all the islands controlled or protected by a certain faction to be closer together. Also I think navy ships should be near their islands a lot more often than not since it would make sense for them to yknow, defend their branch of influence into the sea they are in. Also I really feel like cargo should be redone to be a purchase from an NPC that loads however many boxes you purchase into your ship with different types of cargo that certain towns have demand for. Would make it a lot better.
I don't know about that bigger map stuff. I have a lot of experience with GPO, which is really large and wide spread. More often than not, it gets really boring just sailing in a direction for ten minutes just so you can fight a boss or something. I like how the map in AO is relatively smaller so you don't spend most of your time sailing when you don't want to.
and GPO also and jack for water encounters meaning you literally go in a straight line and dodge the occasional island with nothing to do on the way there. Sailing shouldn't be boring you should have to deal with wind. weather, creatures, and other boats on the way to your destination. At least Arcane Odyssey has the foundations of a good sailing game even if it is unfinished. Comparing GPO's sailing to Arcane Odyssey's Sailing is like comparing Skyrim Combat to Witcher 3 Combat they both have the same idea but the execute it differently enough where one is actually capable of being fun while the other is just and obstacle.
@@Omegasutoraiki I'm not comparing the sailing though, I'm comparing the map sizes. One is so big, it's boring as hell to navigate. One is much smaller and less of a pain to go around trying to do things like grind bosses or go to an arena to fight someone and practice. I'd rather have a smaller map that's more fun and enjoyable to navigate than a large open space of nothing, even if there's weather and diving spots and all that to interact with.
@@dominicballinger6536 Well when I was talking about size I wasn't only speaking of the oceans. I was speaking of the islands. Which would make the distances between them a bit more to compensate but it would be equivalent to how it is now. I just think the islands are a bit small for the information given about them when you read their map info.
they should add an npc called the landlord at town, u talke to the npc to set spawn, u have to pay small amount of fee to spawn at that location permanantly until u decide to set spawn at diffrent places
While I don’t have many gripes that weren’t already stated. I have a few features that I feel would make the game a lot more playable (Some have been mentioned by youtubers and such but I’ll still include them) -A storage bank on your ship. It'll deal with the inventory problem mentioned and would make joining guilds less of an necessity as it'll hold galleons. -Bounty/contract Board on your ship. It'll stop players from having to travel from Sandfall to Ravvena to collect a nearby bounty once again making guilds more of a helpful privilege. -Daliy/weekly Missions. I believe another youtuber stated this and I very much support it. It’ll give more reason to play after you maxing out your character and give something to do other than bounty farm. Tasks and rewards could be varying and topic(one day you are finding food crates the next you have to claim 3 or so bounties) -Random public events. Like random raid bosses that’ll encourage player teamwork and give valuable rewards to all that participate.(Not next to gunpowder barrels) -Official duel system. Fix Munera and add a duel system to it where you don actually lose fame considering that was the entire point of Munera. -Npc ambushes. Players can travel and suddenly be attack by a group of npcs (like pirates with a leader co-leader and the rest of the attackers) that can vary in difficulty and reward more depending on said difficulty. I feel that all of these ideas would be great since it’ll increase freedom of not being forced to join a clan for certain benefits but will make the game more interesting, and give more to do while the story is continuing to be developed. It’ll also give more chances for good loot as multiple of my recommendations included getting rare items that could potentially even cause an economic boost in trading for mid levels and those who can’t boss farm. Just a thought.
even after the brewing update, sea monsters aren't really worth the trouble. Strength potions are useful yes, but you don't need them to have good DPS in your build
I’m not sure you understand quite how big the auction house thing is, there’s a card on the trello explaining exactly how it will work (requiring multiple external servers and such to get to work consistently)
Not only that, it has to be made perfectly enough where people don't get a chance to dupe items, that will literally break the economy if after it goes out, people just dupe the crap out of stuff and basically make everything worthless, that is why Vetex is also making sure that he will take a lot of time to make the auction part, and I really can't wait for that. I had a lot of fun in playing in the player marketplace in Starscape, its a lot of fun and you can put a lot of business logic into that.
i agree with these points, though a lot of it comes from AO being a newer game still in beta, vetex said ghost ships will be added at some point the geography doesnt really make sense because we arent going to be going into more civlized seas in the future, i mean our next big goal is defeating literal barbarians strong enough to destroy the entire 1st sea (i forget their names but warren talked about them). i also hate how whirlpools and sharks work. sharks should not be immune to whirlpools, also npcs should not have infinite stamina when swimming in the ocean. i hate how on my bad rep account an entire navy ketch attacks me and randomly decides to abandon their ship and i have 20 level 50+ navy members after me forever. and sharks should not be able to jump inside my ship to attack me, once im out of the water i should be safe.
I don't agree with the map size, I think vetex made the map big to make ship fights relax and make the speed attribute on ships more valueable and make cargo system sensible.
agreed bruh, like, your telling me that ravena will buy cargo for double its selling price from a place thats only a 5 minute sail with a ketch at most
The map gets further and further away towards higher levels because you’re meant to be getting better boats and travel faster, plus with your map sailor’s lodge doesn’t make sense because there’s an island right next to it that they could build on instead
It would be so easy to just remove the tent and add inns to any island with people on it. Instead of paying 20 for the tent, you pay 20 at the inn to change your spawn to Palo, Frostmill, etc...
One thing I used to get the eggs when the 12 billion shark update came out was go in the water and use ultra beast instinct with silent blades since it messes with the sharks tracking. (Also on an unrelated note happy birthday to me.)
i agree that traveling in the bronze sea sucks so we need a smaller map but, imagine having to load a lot of players fighting close from you, it will make hunting easier and will lag a lot more than now
Some critiques about the map bit: You can already see most of the islands from Dawn Island if you're playing on high graphics, it kinda spoils the story/game itself when you can already see most of the game world, my main issue with the map currently is the empty space (most notoriously in the North and Northwest sections of the map), and how giant "???" clouds are taken up by some tiny meaningless islands like "bruh", and nonsense geography of the world with 2 snow islands in completely different locations. As for the in-game lore and "statistics" they just seem to be kinda made up? Game is trying to tell me all of Ravenna is home to around 10,000 citizens but is only home to 3 small towns that couldn't house more than a population of 300 combined. The islands themselves need expansions before the rest of the game world does, they're way too small! Quite literally what you see from the map and character perspective of each city/island is exactly what you get, the only standouts are Ravenna (multiple towns), Mount Othrys (although is is quite literally filled with nothing and honestly seems like map filler), and Shell Island which has the dense forest and mountains as one side, and the seaside town on the other.
The biggest problem is how long it takes for updates / bug fixes to come out. Since Vetex doesn’t hire modellers or scripters for some reason, he has to do absolutely everything. He has to make the map, he has to script the npcs, he has to fix the bugs.
your map design suggest the 1st issue you have with the game, which are the distances, yes, but if this game heavy focus is on exploration, and the sea piracy with magic being the main theme of this game, shortening the distance between islands is basically reducing the time you pass on sea, and thinking on How Close your islands are, I ALMOST don't need a ship to travel through most islands.
There are so many bugs at the moment, just look at beserker. You have crash (doesn’t work), smash (works), rushdown (completely broken), shot (works), focus (works), and airstep (works). 2 of the main attacks for beserker don’t work, and it’s honestly pathetic.
im happy that with the nimbus sea update you now respawn at your ship if your in the bronze sea. unfortunately if your in the nimbus sea you respawn at sameria
ik this video was made 10 months ago and the nimbus sea didn't exist, but I HATE spawning next to mount orthys and having to wait like 30 minutes on my boat just to get to fckin ravenna
i think the reason the map is so long was because vetex wanted people to be sailing for long periods of time for immersive purposes. This also explains why the update before darksea was more ocean content, need to give players more to do while theyre sailing. I can agree though from a players viewpoint it gets mad annoying i always dread my awakening quest cuz the shit got me going from whole sides of the map and back
honestly the awakening quest is literally exaggerated because you could go to shell island which has all 3 things that the quest asks for instead of having to go to fucking redwake
A number of the things mentioned here are already going to be added, I think right now vetex is just in that state of experimenting and testing still and slowly just smoothing things out
A lot of the information about the surface of the oceans you mentioned are already planned out in the trello for future updates, so ig u can look forward to that.
One of the other things I think needs to be fixed is the LAG. I know my pc literally runs on a toaster and lags all the time (even on the lowest graphics) but to just be able to not have mind numbing lag spikes or delayed movement that constantly looms over your gameplay whenever youre fighting a boss, sailing in the ocean, or pvp (ESPECIALLY PVP) there just needs to be some sort of fix to reduce the lag on the game rather than people with decent or bad pcs having a bad time playing.
I know it’s a problem in a lot of games and not at all specific to arcane odyssey, but just PVP kinda sucks. Im not talking about the mechanics, that’s actually really cool and PVP is AMAZING but only when both people are consenting to it (usually chill at munera garden). Im talking about bounties and toxic asswads. The only people who do player bounties are like the top 10% of the community, so it’s absolute hell if you’re a casual player (like bro just fight an npc goddamn). the game (being early access still) does obviously have some balancing issues when it comes to different magics, weapons and fighting styles which are just op and do half your health in one hit. I’ve lost count of how many times ive been killed by some toxic kid twice who’s on the same renown side as me and sinks my ship afterwards (ow my galleons), and also to all the stolen dark sea chests and the hours spent finding them. There should be some dedicated servers where pvp is off unless you’re in a party with someone with friendly fire on, or an option in settings to turn on a passive mode where you’re taken off bounty boards and cant be attacked or attack others, again unless you’re in a party.
Ok I thought I was the only one that had an issue with the map. My issue is different tho and maybe a nitpick. I don't expect it to be stupidly accurate, but I feel like the spacing of the islands on the map is way off scale with how they're actually placed in the game. The map makes it seem as though the islands are further apart than they actually are. Unless that's some kind of intentional detail to match the time period of the game in the 1800s since obviously maps were not perfect back then
In my opinion i hate that the didn't add the feature of the (+) and (-) in selling stuff cause i got so many hoafrost conches(which is 200+) and i don't know what to do with them i was also kinda upset i cant have infinite money
Not gonna lie I disagree with the whole bunch islands closer together plan, Arcane Odyssey is kinda meant for a big ocean, if you try to leave no space for underwater monuments or ship battles theirs no point in having water if theirs just no space.. But thats my opinion
sailing is part of the game. It's meant to be the way it is. The reason there are better ships than the rowboat is to make sailing easier. In the last game (won) it was one big continent, which made going from city to city an activity worthy of being a prisoner's punishment. Sailing made the game 10x easier, thats also the primary reason as to why wom was canceled in favor of ao.
vetex just needs to get an actually sizable dev team already so that we don’t have yet another arcane universe game dead from how infrequent/nonexistent the updates are
A lot of people have a lot to complain about Arcane Odyssey, but one thing is, the game is STILL called Early Access, of-course its not at its best point right now, and people seem to avoid that part about it. We as the community peer pressured Vetex into releasing the game early and he DIDN'T want to release the game until the bronze sea was COMPLETELY complete, and because of that, a lot of the game feels rushed. From what I remember, Arcane Adventures was also NOT PERFECT, it was never perfect to start out, it had its bugs, it had its fun parts, it had its downs, but over the few years after it's release, it became a memory and we only remembered the good parts about it. I am very optimistic about Arcane Odyssey's future, as Vetex is fully back on the Arcane Universe, and for sure it will get so much better from this point on. Also the map part, I miss the way we used to memorize the map in Arcane Adventures instead of just having a map to see where we are, its convenient for sure but the exploration part just gets ruined. But one thing I would complain about the most, is the server joining, I get horrible ping when joining servers I am not close to and I can't even choose the servers I join. That gets me the most annoyed.
I think the worst are the sharks. They are overly agressive and bloodthristy, in real life they would do likely nothing to a human unless some bullshark or tiger shark. Its a video game, I know that. But still. Once you are in their sight they just go right at you and start biting for like 500 damage.
*_Me who casually murdered sharks in harpoons and raw combat because I needed a Poison Tooth Dagger: [Shark Egg farming]_* White Eyes flying is now elusive. All you need is spears, guns of all forms, and daggers. *_Maybe I judged the Shark Genocide too much._*
the issue is literally the opposite (atleast for me) grabs dont hit 90% of the time and even if i aim directly at the target my character just goes trough its body without grabbing
To be honest, my biggest issue was the combat. PvP feels very skill spammy and it felt very janky. Whenever I hit someone or something, I just don’t feel enough of an impact and the combat feels very “blinding”. Underwater combat is for real just trash though lol. And also, I feel like Vetex just tried to stretch the game out as well. Like honestly the game felt really drawn out like you’d went from doing Redwake quests which was pretty good to be play but then all of a sudden, when I get to Frostmill, I have to reach level 40 and at this point, you should be around level 20. That’s twice of your current level which feels EXTREMELY unreasonable. To make matters worse, your extremely weak at this point so you don’t have many progression options. This was by far the most boring part of the game. Then, further bosses are REALLY hard and island-to-island quests were really tedious because you really had to know where you were going and sometimes you could get lost. Also: blocking and parrying felt very junk as well. Anyway, that’s all.
nah fr throughout the arcane games ive played since the first ive never liked the combat cause it jusst feels like i have to spam or time it without feeling something but with other fighting games i feel rewarded
@@destroyer_oreos6725 to be honest, it seems at the very best “decent” in PvE, but PvP is just terrible. The game also just has this “stale” feeling to it as well. It feels like an average open-world game but compressed very much. To be honest, we are never going to get AAA level Roblox games due to Roblox’s very weak engine. Roblox is not strong enough to carry massive games. In my opinion, the Roblox engine needs to have many optimization features input before Roblox can be seen past a generic baby-game by the general public. I think something that would help would possibly be making it so that you download games from Roblox so it puts less strain on the client but that might not work so yeah.
@@korbreal Its a fun game, with pretty fun pve to me. PVP is alright, I like the mechanics of it because it fits the game. For other games it might not just fit it
tenth, also im gonna add something in this, the performance. so, don't get me wrong, i have a rtx 3060 intel core i7 and 16 gigs of ram, but why is my fps so trash? because I'm on a gaming laptop? i know some can be triggered but what's the difference? this is why i struggle in pvp, cuz anything can make my fps go from 70 to 30 in a millisecond.
i do seen a White Eye fly down from sky like in the thumbnail atleast 2 times rn I was fishing in Palo and that monster fly down from Sky Island and ate a Pirate ship and then dive down
Surprised on not seeing anything combat related, the pvp is literally just "get the best build and one shot people". I like how you can try so many different combinations but it's not that worth it if you're gonna deal low dmg to someone who can do 200+ in a single attack. Also I hate the way you get renown, seriously? killing players? in an ADVENTURE, and EXPLORATION game? I just don't like fishing, doing a quest, crafting, cooking, brewing potions, etc and get one shoted by a random tryhard with 24914810 kills. This game should get a damn pvp toggle for once, like I spawn in Ravenna and I have to run away because someone's gonna kill me if I don't.
biggest problem that i have with this game are: 1- bosses, or they are too easy to kill, or they are extremaly annoying with awful boss design and not fun to play against (ellius) 2- keybinds. Why cant i change the keybinds? who is the crazy mf that puts block on the g button? also, most of roblox games, dashin is the q button and in this game its double w/a/s/d 3 - navy. i dont know if everyone has the sane problem but having a bounty in this game is the most annoying shut ever, they keep sending navy ships every fucjing time, bro let me breath what im tired ok

Yeah. That indeed sucks man. Not to mention that a clan could only hold so much at a time until you rank it up, which seems like it takes absolute ages to do from my limited experience in it.
i used have 350K fame and down to 250K fame cause i die on a player that hunt me, and i only get 5K fame back when i did it kill the player that hunt me
you can start a guild and that has a bank, what i did, but i see how this would be a pain
i just transferred all my galleons to another file on which i never play just do that
I think all the things are planned out already if you check the trello for arcane odyssey something are planning to come out. The all thing I don’t like is fighting in the ocean and not able to recall your boat when you die and not able to leave and comeback to the game and not be in the last place you went

Yet the map is not really that good of a lore wise since theres bunch of things like for exanple how you think a neviro on his cracked sailboat gonna sail back to ravenna (aldo thing that pissed me off a bit of him saying"story will countinue on west to more populated area" when we are litteraly going to nimbus sea which is south of bronze sea)
The white summit is sure annoying for assasins but eh atleast its somewhat fine with that "criminal zone" far fron everyone
Frostmill placement is i will agree with you stupid because you go there with a rowboat or a sailboat
The small islands being to east is kind of not best since redwake port is to west
Also he didnt talk about sky islands so i imagine a level 40~ falling to the endgame place after accidentaly dashing and falling to mountain
@@utapok3310 I didn't even consider it lore wise except for fort talos being undefended from an easily accessible side but yeah you are right.
I also wish that Palo is closer to silverhold. it hurts me to sail a considerable distance everytime I respawn
you can afford a sailboat at the start of the game loll
Another nitpick is that the arcane universe takes a alot from one piece, and the islands having seemingly random biomes is due to how islands are in one piece, with each island having one main season. For the most part. (Wano)
I think Munera should be closer to Akursious keep because lore reasons. The Munera’s secret probably hints to it being an arena constructed and used by Neviro’s kingdom before it was destroyed
Well, what do ya know? Actually confirmed in game lol
yeah, Munera Garden was destroyed after Ravenna's king killed Winterveil's king aka Neviro's father
the combat alone took 6 months for vetex to complete, he is NOT reworking it, as hes probably making more bosses in the dark sea with that combat style
@@trial_madness2872 no one here said anything about that
My biggest issue with arcane odyssey is the combat. It isn't enjoyable considering everything is just Q and dash spam 99% of the time.
And also balance issues, where builds like Crystal+Iron Leg or Explosion+Thermo Fist Warlocks can just straight up DELETE your entire HP with landing one-two hits in a succession, or Light Conjurers who are so fast its almost impossible to land hit on them, or Warriors and Warlords with their ability spam without much endlag and decent mobility, while builds like Berserkers have to suffer from the lack of reliable ranged kit (only Axe-slash and Shot are not enough from what i heard) and Mages, who arent using some metamancing stuff, are bound to suffer from lack of mobility and damage, without good options to gain distance with melee builds and snares dont help enough when you dont have something like Ash or Poison magic to make a gas wall to deny some area and atleast somehow make enemy take more time to reach you.
its just blox fruits except slightly less stunlocking
@@BrevnoPolenovich honestly anything with iron leg is so irritating, you could do 200+ damage and have 2k health with good speed
@@sjdkdkrmdirkfkdm7683 I actually hope Iron Leg will get a balance change, like making it much slower, resulting in a more balanced fighting style.
Hope Vetex wont make anymore such events where one of elements is purely based on RNGesus mood.
i killed many sharks but it still wont drop the egg until i got it way after even the more rarer eggs like the coconut egg and the asteroid egg
I dont even know how did I got shark egg lmao
I still am surprised it did not agro on me.
honestly the falling star event sounds like such a good idea, it would encourage large fights instead of them rarely happening when a clan tries to contest an island
vetex has plans to add falling meteors which would be similar to the stars that he explained (leave craters, and rare materials or gems or even armor)
AUCTIONS! YES! FINALLY SOMEONE UNDERSTANDS

-King calvus (you understand me dont lie)
-That one bug that make you bald when disguised
-where the fuck is my clover ? ive open 2875 chests !
-Pelion rift ? what the hell is it used for ?
-Random LAg-gg Sp-p-p-pike
-*goes into water* the random 10 million shark spawning:
-second awakening when ?
-Invisible whirlpool
-Angry Water during night (not exactly i love it)
-Bad luck i got 0 loot after killin elius 10 times
otherwise even tho it seems like a lot, i love this game cause everything else is something i apreciate (random dudes killing me for example cause this means that i have to learn how to adapt myself to fight them)
My biggest gripe with the egg hunt was the RNG without any sort of pity system.
@@arceyplayzIt wasn't meant to have rng but it was bugged and the dev didn't bother to fix it so he just let it be
tbh i don't see the problem, the egg hunt was for giving players that are willing to do all these things to get a rare item they will be able to trade with in the future
You're skills aren't as refined.
the map you made is actually a W
It's really good if you are done with the story and are not a criminal.
except its not, it makes the story 10x slower, just look at the distance you have to go trough from redwake, frostmill, then step stones
Also the distance to complete the pumpkin farmer's quest is literally just no
For your first criticism, I do agree that a lot of the gaps between islands are very large, but I feel like giving the entire map a huge overhaul like that wouldn't be super good and would throw off navigation for a lot of people, as well as possibly complicate the path between islands the storyline takes, which at the moment is roughly a zig-zag.
@@Omegasutoraiki yeah, that is a really good point. The towns feel a lot like Skyrim towns in that regard.
In the ocean segment, most of your ideas were already going to be added to the game, check the trello.
Im here from the future theres basically everything he talked about now
they should add an npc called the landlord at town, u talke to the npc to set spawn, u have to pay small amount of fee to spawn at that location permanantly until u decide to set spawn at diffrent places
OMG GOOD IDEA
While I don’t have many gripes that weren’t already stated. I have a few features that I feel would make the game a lot more playable
(Some have been mentioned by youtubers and such but I’ll still include them)
-A storage bank on your ship.
Tasks and rewards could be varying and topic(one day you are finding food crates the next you have to claim 3 or so bounties)
-Random public events. Like random raid bosses that’ll encourage player teamwork and give valuable rewards to all that participate.(Not next to gunpowder barrels)
-Official duel system.
The ship stuff might be added in the next update with the frigate. Vetex said that the captains cabin will be "in depth" customizable.
@@RandooGamingalso next update is the dark sea update so ghost ships are going to be in the game
My biggest gripe is that I can never know which direction I’m going cuz your just a dot on the map
You have a compass on your UI use it
even after the brewing update, sea monsters aren't really worth the trouble. Strength potions are useful yes, but you don't need them to have good DPS in your build
Akursius was actually Winterveil before it was a Ravenna fort. Obviously theres like nothing left of Winterveil though so it isn't all that big.
I had a lot of fun in playing in the player marketplace in Starscape, its a lot of fun and you can put a lot of business logic into that.
i agree with these points, though a lot of it comes from AO being a newer game still in beta, vetex said ghost ships will be added at some point
the geography doesnt really make sense because we arent going to be going into more civlized seas in the future, i mean our next big goal is defeating literal barbarians strong enough to destroy the entire 1st sea (i forget their names but warren talked about them).
i also hate how whirlpools and sharks work. sharks should not be immune to whirlpools, also npcs should not have infinite stamina when swimming in the ocean. i hate how on my bad rep account an entire navy ketch attacks me and randomly decides to abandon their ship and i have 20 level 50+ navy members after me forever. and sharks should not be able to jump inside my ship to attack me, once im out of the water i should be safe.
Instead of paying 20 for the tent, you pay 20 at the inn to change your spawn to Palo, Frostmill, etc...

i agree that traveling in the bronze sea sucks so we need a smaller map but, imagine having to load a lot of players fighting close from you, it will make hunting easier and will lag a lot more than now
Some critiques about the map bit: You can already see most of the islands from Dawn Island if you're playing on high graphics, it kinda spoils the story/game itself when you can already see most of the game world, my main issue with the map currently is the empty space (most notoriously in the North and Northwest sections of the map), and how giant "???" clouds are taken up by some tiny meaningless islands like "bruh", and nonsense geography of the world with 2 snow islands in completely different locations.
He has to make the map, he has to script the npcs, he has to fix the bugs.
sharks you just need muskets, flinlocks and bows.
or you know, parry the sharkbite (actually really easy)
your map design suggest the 1st issue you have with the game, which are the distances, yes, but if this game heavy focus is on exploration, and the sea piracy with magic being the main theme of this game, shortening the distance between islands is basically reducing the time you pass on sea, and thinking on How Close your islands are, I ALMOST don't need a ship to travel through most islands.
Bro most of the things you listed ARE coming
5:34 bro the death squeak
my problem is with the pvp, mostly just q and e for mages and some melee classes can just spam their three weapons with no endlag
how to summon sharks easily:
get a bleeding potion or a bursting bleeding potion
throw it or drink it
1 bleeding potion = 1 shark
There are so many bugs at the moment, just look at beserker. You have crash (doesn’t work), smash (works), rushdown (completely broken), shot (works), focus (works), and airstep (works). 2 of the main attacks for beserker don’t work, and it’s honestly pathetic.
im happy that with the nimbus sea update you now respawn at your ship if your in the bronze sea. unfortunately if your in the nimbus sea you respawn at sameria
ik this video was made 10 months ago and the nimbus sea didn't exist, but I HATE spawning next to mount orthys and having to wait like 30 minutes on my boat just to get to fckin ravenna
some of these were just added in the dark sea update so I guess either vetex had the same idea or he took some of these pieces of criticism
I hate the spawning and the random max levels killing you while you have cargo and GRABBING DROPPED GALLEONS WHILE LOW ON THEM THANKS TO CARGO
Not sure if a fix happened, but the Shark issue is never really an issue towards conjures or mages. The only shark that threatens us are the Lurker
If you have 2 heat based magic you have to use the 15 dps boiling water as your entire source of damage

A bit of these issues were addressed in the Dark Sea update
i think the reason the map is so long was because vetex wanted people to be sailing for long periods of time for immersive purposes.
A number of the things mentioned here are already going to be added, I think right now vetex is just in that state of experimenting and testing still and slowly just smoothing things out
Who would want to spawn in an island were they are a wanted criminal, it dosent make sense
Alot of the things you suggested have been added now it's so good now
3:22 meteors are on the trello for the future, also the dark sea is gonna be the more high octane version of the ocean. Game's just not finished :p
YOU need to use ship attachments for a higher chance of getting something from sharks whales sea monsters

i think mount othrys should be farther tho since its like the awakening area
"at least my character is not blind!!1" - some random kid after watching this video
Unless that's some kind of intentional detail to match the time period of the game in the 1800s since obviously maps were not perfect back then
In my opinion i hate that the didn't add the feature of the (+) and (-) in selling stuff cause i got so many hoafrost conches(which is 200+) and i don't know what to do with them i was also kinda upset i cant have infinite money
here is something i hate: the vatrachos armor whenever i unsocket a gems from it it loses all benificial stats and im left with just drawback
you can upgrade the armor at a blacksmith and it goes back to normal
ghost ships prob come back at halloween as a event
One thing I hate about AO is the whales pushing me away from the diving points
GIVE THE DARK OCEAN SOME INDICATOR SO U DONT JUST RIDE INTO THEM
Me who uses cannon fist and explosion that both don’t even work underwater
80% of the stuff you said for the ocean will be added eventually lol
that map looks like hell for the early game when you got a sailboat or caravel tops
Sailing made the game 10x easier, thats also the primary reason as to why wom was canceled in favor of ao.
all of the things you said for the ocean is already planned in the trello
vetex just needs to get an actually sizable dev team already so that we don’t have yet another arcane universe game dead from how infrequent/nonexistent the updates are
use guns for the shark part it speeds it up so much specifically dual bronze flintlocks
The worst thing: I can't load even the first cutscene without my laptop shutting off
Get a better pc
@@TheBigNoob_TBN cant lol
@@demonicdrowser Then why do you complain, it's not the game's fault your PC can't handle it
@@TheBigNoob_TBN blud it was a joke 💀
@@demonicdrowser I am a "blud," don't know what that is but I'll take it
Aw yes, world of magic, where i waited for the auction to function only to wait longer :D
Did you every saw the trello? , all you want will be added at the future.
I think the worst are the sharks. They are overly agressive and bloodthristy, in real life they would do likely nothing to a human unless some bullshark or tiger shark. Its a video game, I know that. But still. Once you are in their sight they just go right at you and start biting for like 500 damage.
they’re kinda supposed to do that in this game for some reason cause they auto spawn on u when u run out of stamina underwater or something
@@splobby I still wonder why you aren't able to gain stamina underwater by just not moving
@@altaccount335 me neither but it is what it is
@@splobby yes
*_Me who casually murdered sharks in harpoons and raw combat because I needed a Poison Tooth Dagger: [Shark Egg farming]_*
White Eyes flying is now elusive. All you need is spears, guns of all forms, and daggers.
*_Maybe I judged the Shark Genocide too much._*
Flying white eyes still seems to happen quite a bit, but he actually comes down now.
My biggest complaint: Grab hitboxes. Grab hitboxes feel like they are larger then explosive magic.
they’re buggy and small idk what ur talking about
the issue is literally the opposite (atleast for me) grabs dont hit 90% of the time and even if i aim directly at the target my character just goes trough its body without grabbing
Disagree, the fighting fits the game perfectly
For other games it might not just fit it
@@destroyer_oreos6725 sorta understandable. Thank you for your opinion.
tenth, also im gonna add something in this,
the performance.
so, don't get me wrong, i have a rtx 3060 intel core i7 and 16 gigs of ram, but why is my fps so trash? because I'm on a gaming laptop?
i know some can be triggered but what's the difference? this is why i struggle in pvp, cuz anything can make my fps go from 70 to 30 in a millisecond.
things i HATE about youtube: a channel that goes by the username "Blazeadon"
1:11 Yes mount othrys is known for being hot
The map has many gaps because there are some extra islands that vertex wants to add.
most of this stuff from arcane adventures is gunna get added its still early access
yep the map should be like arcane adventures instead of just downwards
i do seen a White Eye fly down from sky like in the thumbnail atleast 2 times rn
I was fishing in Palo and that monster fly down from Sky Island and ate a Pirate ship and then dive down
Surprised on not seeing anything combat related, the pvp is literally just "get the best build and one shot people".
This game should get a damn pvp toggle for once, like I spawn in Ravenna and I have to run away because someone's gonna kill me if I don't.
one thing i fkn hate is when a boss charges an attack and blocks at the same time, annoying ash
I hate the ocean. It gives me the hibbie jeebies
biggest problem that i have with this game are:
1- bosses, or they are too easy to kill, or they are extremaly annoying with awful boss design and not fun to play against (ellius)
2- keybinds. Why cant i change the keybinds? who is the crazy mf that puts block on the g button? also, most of roblox games, dashin is the q button and in this game its double w/a/s/d
3 - navy. i dont know if everyone has the sane problem but having a bounty in this game is the most annoying shut ever, they keep sending navy ships every fucjing time, bro let me breath what im tired ok
Blaze’s map is a criminal cargo trader’s dream
I really hate how you don’t spawn on the island you die on I think it’s stupid
