Best size imo, bigger than a 3/4 but not too much bigger, offered custom art and marquee, just the best option for me overall and they shut down. . . Glad i got one before they did.

I ended up replacing the plexiglass with a tempered glass panel. I had a custom panel made for the top that had speaker grilles CNC cut into it so I could mount speakers. I added some furniture pads on the bottom since without it you would scrape the crap out of the bottom panel. Also to note is that a 25” thin bezel monitor will fit just fine, although monitors tend to be thinner than the insignia tv so I had to get some risers so the monitor would sit closer to the screen. With all these mods it’s a perfect cabinet!
ETA hit this one on the mark!! I like the size of it. Wolfanoz front end goes perfect with this cab. And I love the Happ . Perfect for the PI and my odruiod x4
i dont know, i think you still get a better deal from the AT Game Legends cabinet, its the only one i have seen that includes the Spinner and Trackball on the control panel for my retro favorites. i does look good though.
@D theman if you mean the legends cabinet then no you dont HAVE TO stream from their servers, that is an OPTION with the cabinet if you want to stream games from your pc to play on the cabinet or stream games from the AT Games servers but you dont have to, you can use and add your own roms to the Legends cabinet to play on it and it does come with a bunch of games already installed onto the cabinet as it is. with this cabinet here your paying $500 for the cab no monitor or hardware, with the legends you pay around $600 for a complete ready to assemble and play unit. hence why i think the Legends cab is a better deal.
The Recroommasters is built using 3/4” melamine boards whereas the Legends ultimate uses 1/2” boards. So it’s sturdier. Doesn’t have all the controls that the Legends Ultimate has though.

Using a PC with a Linux OS with Retropie is a option. Gamecube and WII will work on that and at decent performance. I tried it. Plus all of the others that work on a raspberry pi. I tinker with it a lot.

All you have to do is find someone to act as your shipping agent. There are a number of companies who do so, though there is a premium involved. You buy the product and have it shipped to the agent, the agent inspects to ensure the item is undamaged, repacks, and ships to you.
The full size 200+ lbs version still moves when you play fighting games. It’s frustrating when you first buy it looking for perfection- but once you actually play the movement is imperceptible as you compensate for it. The other options like Arcade 1up are significantly less weight and move way more. Don’t buy a junior if you’re trying to mimic a 3-400 lbs arcade with a CRT. The 32” options from RRM are great options. I understand and empathize with the concern . Been living with my RRM 32” for only 8 months. Other owners may feel different?

I would definitely get this if it was in a Sega Astro or Vewlix layout with Sanwa buttons. I just don't enjoy using Happ/IL buttons and sticks for a long period of time. I love the size though.
I saw the ultimate HQ Megacade on a channel called DThomasFromNC, thing had like 70,000 games or something. Was massive and had a huge screen. Love all your vids though ETA, I built my first 1up machine with your help. Still love it to this day!!
The top/bottom of the image is significantly cut off on a lot of those games. Look at the text. Is that a problem with the image or does the TV have overscan issues?

Tbh, for those on the fence, this company is a no brainer. I have two of their products (Upright and 24" Pinball), and 7 Arcade1up machines(4 modded)....and I can officially say the Xtension products are the best. The pinball, I'm so happy I did that route instead of the upcoming A1Up. It's a show stealer and took me one day using Pinballfx3 cabinet mode. I'm honestly mad, because I should have just bought a third Xtension (vertical cab) instead of 4 of the A1UPs I have.... The only A1UPs worth owning are Mortal Combat, Star Wars and Golden Tee. Due to unique control layout. Marvel is a close 4th due to its Marvel! Every other cab can be emulated "arcade perfect" on an Xtension machine using thier Emulator Plus Pro control panel...and you get have high score saves...lol when you DIY. Three of thier machines is the sweet spot if you have the room. Cost you about the same (or less) amount as filling your room with A1UPs.
I'm considering the 24" pinball. Do you feel the playfield is an adequate size. I don't have space for their 40" pinball machine. I have a GRS 3/4 scale cabinet.
@@RogjosGamingGadgets Its legit my friend. I had the exact same concerns. However, it turned out nice. If you do your measurements right, you can squeeze a 25 inch monitor in the play field and a 22 inch on the back glass. In general, I'm honestly happy I talked myself out of the 40inch monster.

Arcade1up cabinets seem to ne the perfect height without a riser but I am not sure if it would be worth it to pay $300+ for what will amount to be a cheaply made frame. (Monitor, buttons, joysticks, speakers and something like a Pandora's box would need to be put in it to get what I want) My biggest concern is the height. I like the width but that height looks the same as a standard size cabinet.

I bought a custom speaker panel from Tulsa Arcades. Looks like it was made that way. He should still have the CNC measurements if you decide to go that route.
Eta, I know this is un related to this video but I have been having a hard time choosing between the wee 2, daqi m1 and saitake, the wee 2 looks to have some built quality and looks nice, but i dont know if the sticks will annoy me while using the buttons, since they are way too close, the daqi m1 has space between them but its way cheaper and buying this stuff you must know 1 thing, you get what you pay, and then the saitake looks like the best one, it doesnt look as cheap as the daqi m1 and the layout is similar to the joycons, which I love, but I have heard many complaints of them breaking, what do you think I should get, I just want a controller por some psp, dreamcast and n64, nothing other wordly, and I dont really care about actual mobile games.
I don't think that great idea maybe if you want make special arcade game like those first person or racing arcade game which make use multiple display to play, of course with special controller.

I wish they still made a 27” version. Nice in between size. Now they only have 24” and 32”.

You need to adjust for overscan there. Cutting off a bit on the edges. Pretty cool unit.
I finally found the option in the tv settings, I tried from within RetroPie but gave up Lol, with this insignia it’s a bit hidden in the settings.

$500 for a shell with no computer or monitor? Wish I was rich. That is why Arcade 1ups sell so well because they are cheaper and can be Modded.
Those days might be gone soon. Every new A1UP coming is priced at $499 :(
And the 1up ups have quarter inch particle board in their shoddy construction so they fall apart easy.

Not sure if 499 is worth it, for cheap wood. The only plus I see are the controls.

14.25H x 22.875L x .1875D make sure to get polished and beveled edges. Much easier to get in the slots and looks nicer.

To me it's like 32 inch great for 3 or 4 player, while 24 great for 2 player setup.
With retropie releasing a version for raspberry pi 4, would you recommend swapping out the 3 for the 4 in this build?

Yes, I bough a piece of tempered glass for the screen. It works great and has stood up to 4 kids banging on it for 4 months.

Eta, I know this is un related to this video but I have been having a hard time choosing between the wee 2, daqi m1 and saitake, the wee 2 looks to have some built quality and looks nice, but i dont know if the sticks will annoy me while using the buttons, since they are way too close, the daqi m1 has space between them but its way cheaper and buying this stuff you must know 1 thing, you get what you pay, and then the saitake looks like the best one, it doesnt look as cheap as the daqi m1 and the layout is similar to the joycons, which I love, but I have heard many complaints of them breaking, what do you think I should get, I just want a controller por some psp, dreamcast and n64, nothing other wordly, and I dont really care about actual mobile games.

@Mykel Hardin UHD for an 8, 16 MAYBE 32 bit game.... seems logical.
I don't think that great idea maybe if you want make special arcade game like those first person or racing arcade game which make use multiple display to play, of course with special controller.
