Coming to this late, but just wanted to add my praise for this playthrough - this was so engaging (in addition to being instructive), as a result of both your enthusiasm and the narrative qualities of the system, and serves as a great advertisement for the game.
Halfway watched tonight at the gym. Brilliant play, so much fun to see how you’ve turned this around so far. Still work to be done but I have confidence in you. I’ll watch the rest next trip to the gym. :) Thanks for making these!
Well done. Informative and entertaining. One small niggle. I believe the second time Moraitis used a grenade while he was on the Houses square, you rolled a two on the Cover dice and claimed it failed because you needed a 3 or better. However, you did not take into account the penetration value of the grenade. So, your two successfully defeated the enemies cover. And, you scored numerous kills as opposed to suppression. Turned out not to be a big deal but it did cost you one extra turn. Thanks for taking time to put out this video series.
Hi Stephen thank you for watching, I really appreciate it 🤗 Yes l did notice that when I watched it through later. Darn it! But I hope you found it entertaining as that has always been my main purpose. Thanks again and happy gaming 😊👍
Thank you so much for taking the time to go through an entire game! I just bought it and it's my first wargame. I wish you had more playthroughs of this game. It's very entertaining and exciting and your explanations are very clear.
GG my friend, great playthrough. I love this game, so many moving parts that give such a number of options (plus a bit of luck helps as well). Looking forward to a new mission.
I really enjoyed your play through. You explained everything very thoroughly and in great detail. I have just ordered Warfighter North Africa and your video will help me understand it so much quicker. Thank you so much from a fan across the pond!!
Thanks Thomas for your comment, really appreciated! I'm sure you'll love the game. I apologise for the very late reply, I'm on a break at the moment but am planning to restart in April 👍
@SOLO Boardgaming I'm a little overwhelmed by all the add ons and expansions, though. I could see myself wanting to collect them all. Well, at least all the WW2 ones. :)
So, it's time for our Resistance to step up. It's the Finale of Warfighter WW2 The Maquis! but not a Good start when I forget at 5:00 to add my grenade Penetration factor to my Defeat Cover die! I've let my team down 😒
Another splendid, SPLENDID playthrough! Now I'm up to get this game and collect and play it as much as I can. I love the way you narrate your gaming experience, that's so similar to what I do myself. What about another Warfighter WWII game, maybe on the eastern front (russian guys, come on!)? As a side note, you got exactly the same expansions I would (and hopefully will) get! Thank you mister Paul, you gave me an happy evening!
Nice little series. Really made me sold on the game. Hopefully I will have the chance to acquire it in the future, and get some expansions too. If you made another campaign on it, I would be happy to watch it. Maybe mix it up even more, perhaps play a mission as an Axis country like Germany, or add vehicle to your squad if you have such cards in your collection. Just a suggestion idea in case you like it.
You made this very entertaining. You made it hard for yourself forgetting the penetration of the initial grenade thrown. However, with your attentional to detail, i feel comfortable getting this game to the table. Think i will make a play through video too. So much fun… 😂 Sapphire is so hot 🔥
I will receive my Warfighter next week, so I need a "preview" of how a game is played. After a very long video game... lol, I'm looking forward to playing that game. Thank you.
Thanks to this video series, I decided to buy the Warfighter WWII core box. I look forward to another playthrough on this channel. Any chance of it happening? Nonetheless, keep up the good work.
At around 49 minutes you rolled 3d10 for a burst of auto fire, and while two of the dice were an 8 & a 9, the third die was a 2. That should have triggered a Reload. Page 22 of the Universal Rulebook, under the *RELOAD* keyword : *If any of your Attack rolls are equal to or less than the Weapon’s Reload number, your Weapon has run out of Ammo during the Attack. You cannot use the Weapon again until you Reload it.*
Absolutely correct, thanks for letting me know. Yes I do make little errors quite often. Its because of keeping up a narrative at the same time. Too much talking, not enough thinking! 😊
@@soloboardgaming It's the nature of the hobby, isn't it? I also like that your weapon can jam and run out of ammo on the same go, if you roll badly enough! Well, not like, but you knwo what I mean :)
Just wondering, is there even any use case for choosing to fire a StG/Assault Rifle on Semi mode, if you can only then roll 1 die in stead of Auto mode (3 dice)?
Auto mode can be a double edge sword, from what I understand at least. You have bigger chance to hit, but you also have bigger chance to roll an empty magazine as well.
@@robmarcjon Oh wow, thats very difficult! Its whatever takes your fancy to be honest. You start with your basic US forces with German hostiles, so its easy to add Soviet, British or Maquis - all of whom can fight the Germans. Always buy both packs for any particular nation. You'll need both packs to benefit from their weapons and their soldier/hostile options. I have both Brit, both Russian and the Maquis packs, so along with the original German and US I have tons of options! Or you could buy the 2 German packs which will allow you to fight AS the Germans rather than against them. Best of luck 👍
You sure like making things hard for yourself 🙂 If you had added the grenade's penetration to your first grenade attack, you would have killed them all rather than suppress them.
A couple of years late that but that was one of the best learning playthroughs I've watched. I learned how to play and you made it fun. Great work.
I still love and play Warfighter a lot. Its just the best fun! So it means a great deal to read such great comments like this. Thank you!

What a trilogy! It was like watching a movie! Great production! Congratulations! It's sure, I'll buy this game! Thanks!

didn't your grenade have a penetration of 1... so you should of killed that squad... only 15 minutes in so not sure if you caught that or not..
