Gender bias is a deep rooted problem nobody talks about it seriously .
I am a elder daughter of my parents who are too much into it , had a yonger brother and sister too .
My mom don't gave me enough time to read and write always made me to be busy in household works .
I am a class topper in school even though my parents never felt proud about that .
Always they want to suppress my dreams and studies .
It's really became tough to manage both household works and studies at that age they thought to stop my education at 12 th and make my marriage . But some body explained my father to just join me to any graduation then only any graduated person will marry me .
He joined me to college after 6 months of gap started showing grooms . Selected a groom when i am in final year i got married .
I have 4 backlogs , chemistry is tough for me i can't able to attend exams after my marriage .
But after my son born i again joined the college my husband is supportive, he came to know how much i wished to study .
Now i have 4 degrees .
I managed home two kids all my responsibilities along with studies and career , even today my parents are not happy because my brother is not successful as i am .

Childhood ek bahut crucial period hota hai , negative environment , gender bias aur ghr vaalo se appraisal naa milna bahut cheezin badal deta hai , mjhe lgta hai sbde bdi kasoorvaar qala ki mother hai jo apni bachhi ke talent aur man ko nhi smjh paayi ,kahin na kahin vo har chij ki jimmevaar h 😡

Qala's mother tried to teach Qala singing but Qala was never too good at singing(if qala would be good then that song director would have came for Qala instead of Jagan at Qala's home) and 1 more thing Qala's mother knew how toxic this film industry is that's why she(Qala's mother) wanted Qala to marry rather than persuing career but since Qala didn't listen to her mom she get into all those trouble

I think u didnt explain the movie in the right way… she wasn’t really fighting for become a singer but to get accepted by her own mother by becoming a singer. She never get motherly love from her own mother because her mother lost her son while her daughter is alive. Then she got S/A by the man who got her into the industry which is why Qala always keep herself surrounded by women rather than men. And she was actually suffering from extreme depression bcoz of her childhood trauma and the way she dealt with it by poisoning that boy. Nobody was there for her so that she can share these things with them. Even doctor wasnt aware about the mental health. Only she knew what she did and start hallucinating things and then end things by taking her own life.

My mom really feel bad for not having son she always burst out whenever she was angry that it would be better to have son rather than daughter, but since from childhood all i did is to make her proud of having daughter 🙂 , but one think it’s not boys fault many girls start comparing their life to boys and tell them their life are better than girls what is better is heavy nothing is better in this world we just keep on fighting with each when the truth is both girls are boys r suffering from this world

Mercury is a poison isn't it ? What was the fault of Jagan, she had no threat from him, she could have tried to become a singer for female voices...Jagan didn't have a feminine voice...did he ?
Jagan was a friendly person. He was an orphan, he had nothing in his life rather than his voice.
there was no scene in which she actually mixed mercury and mercury is so toxic that it effects the brain of that person .There is no way he could have survived that high dose of mercury so It doesn't make any sense to me that she actually mixed mercury .I think she is hallucinating that part as well that her jelousy killed jagan.

Amazing movie.... So beautifully portray social evils like gender biases, traumatic childhood, negligence of mental health, lack of opportunities for women... How women professionals face difficulties in following their passion in a Patriarchal society, how the Bollywood cinema industry has always been objectifying women and exploiting them in the name of opportunity and success.
I wonder if this movie is commercially successful but it is definitely going to have a fan base of people with different taste of cinema who are above those typical Bollywood drama.
Great acting... Especially in today's time such acting with expression and minimal dialogue is very rare to see...kudos to all the actors. 💕👏👏
Though the story telling could be better and in some places the situation and the presentation of the character was offbeat... The colour theme was really dark...and i believe that is because the director wanted to portray only the grey side of life. The dressing doesn't match the weather conditions in some places.

The mother is at fault here. Jagan was the scapegoat and Qala was the result of her mother's bias.

Was let down by this movie, had opportunity but missed badly. Lack of screen presence, stoic expressions kind of forced, stage set up is forcibily dark and on the face. Tripti was like a breathe of fresh air in bulbul, here she looked breathless all through
