You could try farming Wood Mushrooms or Nuttos aswell, since they also have the bullseye statue in their drop table but with a slightly higher drop rate. I still do belive Walking Sticks to be the best way to farm since you also get Woodular Circles at the same time.
I've put all my characters on catching in W2 just to farm the Oceanman statues to get it over with. It's a slow process but I'm almost done. Would be a bit annoying if the drop source would change right after but it is what is it.
Solely focus one char to just push the portal and all other chars to collect mats. If it's necessary to gear up other char, then go for it. But I'm sure that a full set of dementia is very cheap and easy to give it to every of your character
I'd say it depeds on where you are in the game and how close you are to the quest npc that unlocks onyx statues. Since it is locaded towards the end of W4. Maybe start saving as soon as you reach W4. Leveling statues still is benificial even though they aren't in the onyx tier.

How do you get so many power statues. I'm trying to get 20k for the monolith
I did it while active farming Gigafrogs in world 1. The world 1 crystal monsters have a quite common drop of power statues.
how do you farm the bullseye statue? ive heard walking sticks but over a couple hours of farming i got like 30k power and 500 bullseye only

You unlock Onyx statues after completing the second quest from the Monolith in W4.
