Some people are used to the R142As on the Pelham 6 line and some people got used to the R62AS back on the Pelham 6 line. Nothing is not gonna last forever. Things are definitely gonna change when the brand new R262/As open and close ways. They have to start appciating the R62AS on the 1 3 6 S lines while they are in passenger service. It's not over on the Pelham 6 line yet because the R142As are definitely trying to make there way back on the Pelham 6 line where it belongs. Just because they have the R62AS back on the Pelham 6 it doesn't mean anything anymore. The R142As could definitely pop up any time on the Pelham 6 line.

I would do a fleet swap of sending R142's and R142A's from Jerome to Westchester Yard for service on the (6) IDC about JeremiahC99 plans he clearly hates R142A's on the pelham line and only wants R62A's on pelham R142A's on the pelham line are nostalgic
@CR1Creative the 211 option order isn't even determined yet, let alone the 262s which aren't even in the works. Until the next 3-4 years the 6 will be SMEEs (except ofc the times it runs to 149 - GC) lol
The R62AS definitely needs to be rebuilt and be remodified like they did the R142B on Taking Pelham 1 2 3. Put those R142Bs on the Pelham 6 line for CBTC. That's what should of been done. Sence the R262/As gonna take three or four more years to come.

The Flushing line doesn't need R262's since the R188's are CBTC compatible with their addition of 'C' cars to make 11 car R188's Because of this there is no need to swap out the R188's for compatibility purposes because the CBTC Equipped cars are currently working on the Flushing Line 2. The Flushing Line uses a different CBTC system compared to what's planned to be installed on the Lexington Avenue and Broadway-7th Avenue Line. As such, the R262's will be equipped with CBTC system for the Lexington Avenue and Broadway-7th Avenue Lines, so it doesn't appear that the R262's, which aren't even configured for 11-car train ops, won't be going to the (7) line.
Don't get me wrong I respect the R62AS back on the Pelham 6 line wich is 100% true. However the R142As are definitely trying to make it's way back home on the Pelham 6 line just like the R62AS made it's way back on the Pelham 6 line because of CBTCS on the 7 Flushing line.
