These commentators forgot about the gifted 10 to Jasmine in the first rack. That and the missed 10 at 2/1 would have already won for April.
I know this is big time
pool and I know April will feel bad but she
    should not.
I believe she will be playing heads up against Ms. Kelly Fisher soon enough and winning her share.

Because on the first shot after the break, what's known as a push out is allowed. Meaning that the player who shoots right after the break happens can do anything they want with the cue ball and it's not a foul (except scratch) including making the incorrect ball. A push out is typically done if the player doesn't have a shot on the ball on the table that's the one required to be hit (the 1 ball on this rack, since it wasn't made on the break). The normal strategy is to try to put the cue ball somewhere where you will have a shot but that you think your opponent will struggle with. After the push, the other player has the option of taking the shot or making the player who did the push take it if they don't like the results.
Shane didn't like the leave after the push so he gave the other player the shot. That's why he went twice.

    ( names Tim,I think)
Says Mario put a little to much draw. Was trying to land BY side
    pocket.” Phooey “
    I say he was definitely
    trying to draw to side
    Near pocket and off,
down to position on the eight.
    “He studied the shot
carefully several times before shooting, and shot with way too much force to be just
stopping by the side rail.” look again. adios

Idk, I agree that SVB needed to back off a tiny bit, but at the same time, the shots that April missed were fairly easy shots.
She shot very well, but in the first match, she had nobody to blame but herself for the loss. At the end of the day, it's you vs. the table, and if the table beats you, the opponent normally wins.
Like I said though, I think SVB could've let April play a bit on her own more, although this tournament was the first time I saw April in action, let alone heard of her.

Another brutal team performance by SVB - but probably should not be surprising. For most of the year SVB has scratched on the break at a ridiculous rate, missed easy shots, and had some of the worse position play I have ever seen. So many silly mistakes.

@@briantrip5022 LOL, yes, in eight ball. But he has struggled most of the year in nine ball and 10 ball. I have literally watched 90% of all tournament games he has played this year. Even in the commentary for this match they mentioned the numerous scratches.
By the way, you do understand there is a HUGE difference between eight ball and nine ball and 10 ball - right? You do get that? Apparently not.
And SVB is known to struggle in team play. By the way, I am a huge SVB fan, he is my favorite player - but the FACT remains he has really struggled for much of the year. In this tournament, in the 10 ball part of it, he did not make the top 32 because of what I mentioned.
If you watched him in the Peri 9 Ball tournament there were many mistakes. The Hanoi Open has some of the strangest missed, position play, and scratches on the break you will ever see from SVB.
And what is your stupid comment about me playing him? That literally makes no sense - but it seems you do not really understand what you are talking about. Like I said, go over every match he has played this year, this has been a year of very inconsistent play for SVB. Hopefully he turns it around in the Mosconi Cup.
