      @@AveryDelMiller Yeah np. Any plans to build a scanner camera? I saw you in Yunus’s comment section the other day.

      @@AveryDelMiller I started building one. I am going to try to understand how he did it. Need to learn fusion360 to modify some parts. Can’t wait to see what you will do.

    What are the odd’s that I’d be searching for a 4x5 3d printed camera? Hey Avery, keep up the great work! Time to put my 3D printer to work while I’m recovering. Joe

    You should look into 3D camera setups. Using 2 of the same camera and setting the lenses close to each other can make a cheap 3D camera rig.

    Damn dude you went full ham. Great work. I can’t wait to print your camera. I have a press lens I want to make a mount for. I started working on a copy of the SCSC v1 camera. You have inspired me to learn some 3D modeling. Time to go learn a new skill 😂 thanks

    So, if you don't wanna deal with the heatset inserts. you could design in some slots for nuts to slide in to the print to then hold whatever screw. so a captive nut. that might even be easier then the heatset inserts specially since your accuracy doesn't have to be as good.

      @AveryDelMiller  Рік тому

      yes! this is a great solution but I wasn't happy with it. slide in slots can be kind of weird because it either involves overhangs or some kind of adhessive, and I've also had trouble with layers delaminating when you overtighten using a nut. the heatset inserts are a pain, but it's the best thing i've tried that is (somewhat) long lasting. hope youre doing well!

    Hi Avery,
    Just so you know, the 75 and the 127 mm both cover 4x5, the others lenses don't.
    The reason why the 250mm does not cover is not about the vignette, the helicoid being long and round actually block the transmission of light.

      Hey there! I appreciate you mentioning that, those are two of the few lenses I've yet to try. Is this from your own experience, or do you know of anyone who has messed with this kind of thing before?
