@@ryderncupcakes Not really, maybe you just don't have people around you that thinks positively.. I don't really care that much about this pandemic (not that I don't really care about it).. I just don't think about it that much, I mean.. it doesn't hurt to look on the positive side of things right? Almost everybody now overthinks about the pandemic and get depressed/anxious and all that stuff.. why don't we just enjoy our life right now while we still have it? The positive things that I see about this pandemic is that we get to spend more time with our family, the days we spent not being with them is kinda paying off right now.. isn't that precious? Back here after watching them live in Wembley Arena yesterday❤. Hearing SWV sing weak live was a whole moment!!! This will forever be one of favourite songs of ALL time!!!❤
This song was so huge it ended superstar Janet Jackson’s eight-week reign at No. 1 on the Billboard pop chart (Hot 100). “Weak” bumped “That’s the Way Love Goes” the week ending 7/10/93 and stayed on top for two straight weeks. It had already started a consecutive two-week run at No. 1 on the R&B chart on 7/3, so it was atop both charts the week of 7/10.
The last chorus breaks my heart every single time :( To think My bestie and I were so happy singing this song into our deodorant cans back in High School and use to laugh at our actions to the song and now there is only one of us left to reminisce. Heart breaks every time. RIP Kat xxoxxo
@@nicolemyles7597 I'm glad that you feel that way about us black men my queen, not all of us are perfect but a lot of us are very reachable. A lot of our young women are being socially engineered through the media, TV, and movies to date white men. They are heavily promoting swirl couples targeting African American girls. These demons want to break up the black family structure; because they are afraid of black Unity. And at the same time they want to try to breed out our race starting with the black female.
I wasn't born when this first came out but my parents still played it when I was little. I was born in 1993. I wonder if because of this music...as I was conceived in 1992. 😂😂😂
90's had the best of all music, it seems. Back then, I listened to everything from SWV, to Snoop/Dre, to Sarah Mclachlan, to Kenny Wayne Shepherd, to Alice In Chains...and everything in between. As far as I'm concerned, it was the most diverse generation of great music. There was good music for everyone who was into any genre, whether it was rap, R&B, pop, electronic, folk, singer/songwriter, blues, heavy rock, punk, grunge, or metal. I think the 90's was the last era of individuality in music. Now everything is so blended together, that you almost can't tell what genre of music you're even listening to. Sadly, as the music has become less and less diverse, so has my taste for it. At least I have the good ol' days to fall back on. I feel sorry for kids today, being that they're completely stuck with so little good music.

I remember that and the follow up with “ Right here”!! They were unstoppable 🔥🔥🔥
🎶On this day (July 10) in 1993, ‘Weak’ by SWV reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
3:26 She delivers this line so well ♡
Still hits the soul in 2022

The last chorus breaks my heart every single time :( To think My bestie and I were so happy singing this song into our deodorant cans back in High School and use to laugh at our actions to the song and now there is only one of us left to reminisce. Heart breaks every time. RIP Kat xxoxxo
She took her own life just over 3 years ago
I'm so so sorry to hear that my prayers to your and her family RIP Kat
RIP to your bestie.
Got teary eyed just reading this. Sooo sorry for your loss. Life goes by fast, doesn't it? Cherish memories while you can
amen
To me the best part about this song is the harmony.
God was definitely showing out when he made black women 🍫❤ 🍯 🌞
I feel the same way about black men as well❤🥰🍫
@@nicolemyles7597 I'm glad that you feel that way about us black men my queen, not all of us are perfect but a lot of us are very reachable.

SWV always brang it. Vocals for days. Harmonizing at it's best 4:18-4:28.
Mikael Yohannes i would say 0:00-4:35
Unless you lived in this time like I did, you would NEVER know how BIG this song was. It was a massive hit for like 2 years
Facts! Huge!
this Song is one of the reasons there was an increase in Teen Pregnancies at that time 80's-90's R&B was on Demon Time
I didn’t have cable growing up, but our advisor would let us watch videos during advisory 😂. I got to see videos finally instead of only 📻. 😊

Coco, one of the most underrated singers EVER!! She oozed 90s soul.
Ahhhh. The 90's... This is my jam!!! Hands down the 90's had the best R&B, & Rap! Take note kiddies. This is the shit....
I agree. I believe the 90s was the best era for R&B period.
eaux kei R&B, Hip Hop, & Rap :-D
lalalal dooo deeee daaa
Coko is the most underrated female singer, with a unique voice. Nobody can sound like her or ever has.
Def 1 of the greatest vocalist of all time
Athena cage the only one who csn come close
Truth!!!!! She does have a unique voice. I've never heard anyone sing like her. But I'm wondering why the other group members only sang the chorus 🤔🤔🤔
I heard this song at work today

I'll be 48 y/o next week & I 💯 connect w/ the feeling behind this thread. ❤ In April, my baby turns the dirty 30. My daughter turned 31 already. 🌞 They've blessed me w/ 2 grandboys 💕 a 9 yr old + a 4 mo old. Although I sometimes long for the days of my youth, GenX has created quite an impressive, sturdy family tree that one sweet day we inevitably will leave behind as our everlasting legacy. 🫗❤️

I lived through the 90's on these amazing songs, a powerful era for R&B. And today they still stand. Beautiful song by an amazing group SWV!
I'm 14 and I love this song, and many others from the 90's. I agree with the older people that this kind of music should come back. This is way better than what's played on radios nowadays.

But the tiktokers made tiktok dances at stuff and it makes it popular. And plus this song was getting popular again cuz of a tiktoker on tiktok made a cover of this, and i literally got here bcs of that tiktoker-

The softness and fragility in their voices in this song actually (and ironically) makes me weak. 🤦😍
Feel so blessed to have been born in November of 1979 because I got to explore, enjoy and live through the best of the 1990s. A great time for music and to be in high school. Sometimes it seems like a few years ago and other times it feels like forever ago. I’m just glad I know what the world was like before 9/11.
Born in '78 but so glad I was old enough to appreciate the musical gems that came out of the 90's. Music nowadays is sadly hit and miss!
You were born at the right time then. Late 70s babies experienced the 90s in high school and college! That's prime time 💀
I lost my father in '93,when this song was rising to the top,it helped me get through one of the worst times in my life, driving between New York and Maryland once a week for 3 months! Here I am in 2023 and I still get weak!
My deepest condolences I'm sorry for your loss

Sincerest condolences. God be with you. It hurts like hell when we lose our parents, and loved ones. I lost my Dad in 2004 and Mom in 2019. I truly believe that somehow, they help us to keep on keeping on.
