Thank you so much for reviewing these bibles, brother! I have been contemplating whether I should spend my Christmas money on ESV Aquila Cambridge Bible, and so glad your video popped up! Alas, I won't be buying it because my eyesight has gotten so much worse, and the font is way too small :/ But it's such a gorgeous bible, all of them!
Thanks for the information. I am currently saving for a NKJV goat skin in both WM & PM. They sometimes go on sale for a significantly lower price, and since my new church uses NKJV, I need a new Bible anyway :)
This was awesome I put bible buying guide in UA-cam specifically to ask u if u could show the hardcover in a video if u still had it. And u did it before I could ask u. Thank u
Thanks to your wonderful review I have decided to purchase a NKJV wide margin bible (I think I’ll go for the ‘floppier’ edition😂). Thanks again and keep up the good work👍
Cambridge do a really good job of their Concord WM. I don’t really like the PM layout though, the text block looks too busy and cramped with that paragraph format. I much prefer the Concord WM as it’s good old chapter and verse. Thanks Randy!
I’m buying a KJV WM. Question. How durable is the calf split vs the goat skin? In your opinion, is the durability of the goat worth the extra $90-$100?? If the goat is going to last a lot longer, I will go with that. I take tons of notes and use the Bible every day. Thanks for the review
The goatskin is more durable and it will last a lot longer. The calf-split will show wear a lot sooner than the goatskin will. The goatskin will still look great in 10 years, but if it has a synthetic liner then the liner can peel. The Cambridge used to be synthetic (I think they've changed that, but I'm not 100% sure). I personally prefer the calf-split because it isn't as floppy and doesn't have the hump that's caused by the edge-lined tab. The spine in the calf split rises higher when opened, making it easier to write in the inner margins.
Thank you for the swift response. I am going with the goat skin on Friday. I’m looking for something I can pass on to my sons. Love the channel, GOD Bless
@@BibleBuyingGuideI got my Goat skin KJV wide margin in September and am absolutely in love with this Bible. I’ve used it every day, read it cover to cover over 3X and have filled nearly every page with my notes and the binding & cover are showing no signs of wear & tear. I still haven’t gotten to the notebook paper yet & have used aprox 1/2 my lettered note pages with my note system, so I still have ample room to continue putting my thoughts & sermon outlines. Thanks again for responding last year & pushing me over the edge in choosing this wonderful Bible. Be blessed.
This is the bible I have been hunting for and can't find it anywhere! I want the Cambridge Wide-Margin Hardcover, NKJV as I want to get it custom rebound in leather because it comes in the wide margin size I want with the white paper edges (as I don't perfer gold, colored, or gilted edges). Do you know anywhere that I can find or get this blue Cambridge Wide-Margin Hardcover, NKJV? I cannot find a single NKJV wide margin with white paper edges that is sized like this on the market currently. SO want to find this Bible somewhere! Thank you!
Hi Randy, is there any difference in the paper, binding or otherwise between the calfsplit and goatskin? The cover and gilding won't matter since it will be used for an interleaved rebind project.
Hi Randy, are there additional cross references on the bottom right hand side of the page? I could not quite tell if that’s what those were or if they’re part of the text.
@@firstandthelast Not unless it's goatskin. You'd need to get a goatskin cover to get a leather liner from any of the publishers. Schuyler is an exception, though. They have a leather liner on all of their wide margins.
So which one is Gods word? When there are so many changes between the KJV and ESV and NIV for example so can someone please tell me which one is truly God Word?
Hi Jared. I do write in them. They do have show-through. I use Pigma Microns and some colors show through more than others. Black is the most obvious. Red, blue, and green aren't as noticeable. Some of the written reviews have photos that show the notes on both sides of the page.

Thank you! I'm with you. I love them, but the font is just too small for me.
Very informative. Looking into getting one of these and I learned a lot!!
Love the wide margin Bibles!

Amen Randy. Love that expression you used. Hide it in your heart. Referring to studying God's word in the Wide Margins...
Thanks Rich!!
Bible Buying Guide Does the calf-split have red letter or not would really love it if it had red letter.
Thank you! Great review!!
Thanks!
Great review! Cambridge makes great wide margin Bibles. 📖
I've never had a wide margin edition but the Cambridge Concord Reference edition I love!
The regular Concord is one of my all-time favorites.
It is great and good PRINT.
I would prefer to see a 1.25" margin on Both the Outside and "gutter"--even if that means making the text block itself wider.
This was awesome I put bible buying guide in UA-cam specifically to ask u if u could show the hardcover in a video if u still had it. And u did it before I could ask u. Thank u
Dark print makes a huge difference for those with vision issues.
Cambridge just looks classic

Nelson HAS a good WM NKJV in PREMIER collection.
Excellent BIBLE.
Blessings.

Amen. Mark. Me too
I HAVE CONCORD WM.
Beautiful
Great review as always! Do you know where the NKJV WM hardcover is available to buy? I found one on EBay, but haven’t seen one anywhere else. Thanks!
Thanks! I haven't seen it anywhere lately. They're getting harder to find.
Did you say 8 point font? I need a wide margin maybe SCR large print. I prefer references near the gutter.
Hi Lori. What translation are you looking for?
I've been looking for the Nkjv, hardcover, has it been discontinued?
NASB 95 is verse by verse but 2020 is paragraph but WITH verse #s. BOTH are good. Maybe add some colour in verse #s.
And headings etc.
Concord is available in wide margin and is very legible.
Thanks, man.

I’m curious of this hardcover may still be found. Looking to buy !
I haven't seen one in a while. The only hardcover in stock anywhere is the ESV. I'll ask my contact at Cambridge when they plan to produce more.
@@BibleBuyingGuide that would be wonderful! Thank you, please let me know

Hi Richard. I've given this one away. Sorry. I'll let you know if I see one.
Wow that KJV Bible... so beautiful. On my list. God bless you brother
The ESV Wide Margin looks very prestine

As far as I know, the text block is exactly the same.
@@BibleBuyingGuideAwesome, thanks!

On the NKJV, yes. It's the same layout as the Pitt Minion.
Does the calf split versions have a synthetic or leather liner?
Neither. It's a pasted vinyl liner.
@@BibleBuyingGuide Ahh would you say the nelson wide margin bibles are better in that aspect?

Cambridge Concord Wide Margin King James Bible, still the original and still the best.

Go with kjv. I did a huge study and the KJV is perfect and the others full of errors.

Do you personally write in one of these wide margins, and if so, do you have much ghosting from the pen?

Why do some Cambridge bibles have the Word of Christ in red ONLY when he was on Earth, and some have all of Christ's Words??
