I never noticed until now that the back and side of the box showcase the original head design- the one that was used prior to fan backlash back in the day- always facinating to see pop up in the first waves of 07 movie merch
It’s so funny how, even at the last minute, major changes were going into the movies. I think it really shows just how hard the VFX Artists were working, and how even until the movie was going out the door they were still touching it up.
As a kid, I always looked at this figure and thought it looked exactly like the movie. Now though, I see it as pretty bad, but my nostalgia for it makes me like this figure a lot even though I never owned it.
For the time, the likeness is awesome! I know there are more accurate 07 Megatrons now, but just think about how insane getting a figure like this was only a year after Classics.
Used to have this one. had a lot of fun with him. sure it is not screen accurate, but he was massive. back when leader class figures were REALLY hefty! in the pic of the back of the pack, the head is the one that was replaced after negative reactions... so the toy in the picture was probably the prototype
I think that sounds like a cool trio! I remember having a legends Scorponok as a kid, and I loved him. It’s a big reason why I love the deluxe one now.
I still have mine from when I was a kid almost two decades ago, and he's got a whole lotta personality over those years lmao. Parents had it custom-painted when I got it so he's all silver-y and not as blue Sadly, the voice box's too damaged to work again And both arm pods are missing so he's just got a single cone on jet mode My only real problem with him is his damn hips having barely any forward or back
Megs’ lower body is kind of a problem. I love his spring loaded feet as an idea, but it makes my Megatron have issues standing. Even still, I do love this guy. He has a ton of issues, but there’s no denying his presence. Also, it’s cool your parent made your Megs more accurate!
Dude, imagine telling a kid in 07 that King Arthur, ancient Egypt, Hitler, the Breakfast Club, MULTIPLE corrupt CIA directors, Peruvian Flutes, and Buzz Aldrin would all play a role in these freaking movies.
