I've just gotten to the part where Ross is selected to be the 1 jar guy. I will be dreadfully disappointed if it turns out he's not going to recreate the video.
Ross "I can't watch this again" proceeds to watch it again. Who knew we'd be lucky enough to get a one man one jar reaction in this video too what a treat!
It was a better idea than deciding to watch the um, let's call it their inspiration/reference film. I was just remarking yesterday about how it's been ages since I was last visually assaulted by warcrimes or other heinous acts on the internet lmao
This 3 hour film challenge feels like you guys have come full circle from when you used to post those college short films like shroom runner. This style of content was made for you!
I can't stress enough how much I love this series. As someone who's been watching since like 2012-13, this feels like you're really filling the shoes of the "Hat Films" name. Like just pulling films out of a hat!
2:02 Me, a Hat amember who watched the film on the Members channel a few days ago: There was a genre change?? 2:05 Me, a Hat Member recalling the song and dance numbers: Aha.
I can just imagine this scene: Trott enters his home after work with a look of existential dread clearly on his face, his body language stiff and sullen. Trott's wife: Chris! What's wrong? Trott: I just realized on the way home today that I got paid to watch One Man One Jar at work.
I love the three different expressions in relation to the one jar. Trott laughing in despair, Ross is just disgusted and concerned and Smith is laughing with intrigue.
Woulda been funny if they walked into subway and sat down, ross pulls out a tiny jar and goes to town, then walks back into the subway, like the tiny jar only sent him back 30 seconds
I'm always so amazed by their musical talent. When I watched the short as a member, without knowing anything about it, I was absolutely certain the background music was recorded, mixed down, and then edited into the piece. To discover they can make that kind of quality by just performing live is absolutely mind blowing. Thank you Hat Films! Keep up the amazing work!
Beautiful cinematography here. The award winning sound track, the brilliant choreography, and the deep, DEEP subject matter... Absolutely ass pounding. I mean astounding. 11 out of 10!
Yeess, I've been waiting for this one!! I absolutely love this format for you guys, and Craig's intro to this one was so good too, haha I love that you all felt the need to actually watch the original video again, those reactions were hilarious XD But my absolute favorite part was Ross dancing over the jar, hahaha, he was just going for it, so good
I absolutely love these videos. The short films they make are hilarious but watching the behind the scenes just makes it so much funnier. I hope we get more of these, it's fun to watch their creativity and enthusiasm in making these movies in such little time
Absolutely brave and stunning filmmaking lads. Truly cinema and musical mockumentary will never be the same ever again, nor will mason jars either. Always a joy to watch these bigger projects lads and working through your back log made this an even more amazing trip. Keep it up, boiks
I took a drink right as Daf said "oh my god, for god's sake" and COVERED my desk from the erupting laughter/soda thats everywhere now THIS this is why Im a member.
I love they actually just sat there and watched One Guy One Jar for this video and while Ross and Trott are horrified, Smith definitely would have watched the whole video
I love how in the part Ross is dancing/squatting above that jar in the alleyway. A rondom guy walks passing them. Like he must notice 4 adults doing some crazy shit. and be even part of the end product himself.
Nice to get some context for the final result, i admit to being perplexed by one man one jar being related to time travel when I saw the film initially. I hope these film challenges carry on
This content is hat films at their best 😄❤️ So much more funny and witty. And shows just how creative you 3 are (and Craig of course). Was crying laughing at bits 😄😄😄
can't believe these lads haven't read the interview with the 1 man 1 jar guy. he survived! he didn't go to the doctor, and still has some small pieces stuck in there, but he hasn't experienced adverse effects from the incident, and has resumed engaging in his hobby.
Haven't even watched yet and i know its probably gold. keep up the great work bois. The vlogs, these sort of film projects, the music of course. all brilliant stuff. (edit: currently at the 1 man 1 jar bit.. yet it think my statement stands)
The video's fine, but I know we're all here for that 1 man 1 jar reaction segment. Also, going to subway, the sandwich brand, to check off the "busy subway in the city" requirement was a clever workaround.
This is an absolutely beautiful video of 3 dudes expanding the One man One Jar cinematic universe
Expanding, and then very suddenly contracting.
I've just gotten to the part where Ross is selected to be the 1 jar guy. I will be dreadfully disappointed if it turns out he's not going to recreate the video.
"We've only got three hours lads, better watch one man one jar then get started on the film"
This is the reason they're not getting to 1 mil.
The whole thing too, such commitment
its called research, look it up
Ross "I can't watch this again" proceeds to watch it again. Who knew we'd be lucky enough to get a one man one jar reaction in this video too what a treat!
Honestly, this kind of content is ABSOLUTELY MADE for you guys… it’s chaotic, creative, and hilarious
I think Ross' suggestion, to go to the restaurant Subway to film a busy city subway, is underrated genuis 😂
"restaurant" is one way to describe Subway I guess...
@@saoirsedeltufo7436 "Subway the food licensed building"
@@saoirsedeltufo7436 indeed it is.
Restaurant (noun): a business establishment where meals or refreshments may be purchased
It was a better idea than deciding to watch the um, let's call it their inspiration/reference film. I was just remarking yesterday about how it's been ages since I was last visually assaulted by warcrimes or other heinous acts on the internet lmao
When Craig said they've had 45 minutes already I just imagined them watching one man, one jar on repeat for 40 minutes.
This 3 hour film challenge feels like you guys have come full circle from when you used to post those college short films like shroom runner. This style of content was made for you!
You probably caused a spike in the views of that 14 year old video.
smiffs analysis of trotts "it's not too cold" comment was amazing.
I can't stress enough how much I love this series. As someone who's been watching since like 2012-13, this feels like you're really filling the shoes of the "Hat Films" name. Like just pulling films out of a hat!
The sudden musical pieces make a lot more sense now! I'd thought they'd just forgotten to make songs for the start.
One thing I didn’t expect from 2024 was a live reaction to one man one jar 😂
And smith really enjoying it
The fact that they rewatched 1 man 1 jar for a refresher is true commitment to the craft
16:52 - Trott's long-standing Hat Films Improv Song impulse is too strong for him to resist even as a cameraman.
I imagine this series is just Ross and Trott reliving their uni days and getting media projects done 3 hours before it's due
2:02 Me, a Hat amember who watched the film on the Members channel a few days ago: There was a genre change??
2:05 Me, a Hat Member recalling the song and dance numbers: Aha.
When Ross decided to put on that cap, that really solidified the character he was about to become. True method acting
We need a full musical rendition of "No Jar Just Me a Man"
I can just imagine this scene:
Trott enters his home after work with a look of existential dread clearly on his face, his body language stiff and sullen.
Trott's wife: Chris! What's wrong?
Trott: I just realized on the way home today that I got paid to watch One Man One Jar at work.
I've watched this six times and confirm this is a certified Craig classic
4:20 has got to be the best frame from any recent hat films video
Honestly this is just a work of art.
I don’t know how you come up with these ideas. I can’t wait for you to make more like these 🤣
I love the three different expressions in relation to the one jar. Trott laughing in despair, Ross is just disgusted and concerned and Smith is laughing with intrigue.
Take my money. Forever. Simply incredible, I cannot WAIT to see the next iteration of this ingenious series
When is a door to the past not a door? When it's a jar. :(
Woulda been funny if they walked into subway and sat down, ross pulls out a tiny jar and goes to town, then walks back into the subway, like the tiny jar only sent him back 30 seconds
Keep up the amazing work!
what a nice bonus to see the live 1 man 1 jar reaction
I kinda want to see a one-hour film challenge that just starts with Craig running into their room screaming "ONE HOUR FILM CHALLENGE GO GO GO"
Ten seconds in and Smith holding that jar has got me worried for his safety.
Beautiful cinematography here. The award winning sound track, the brilliant choreography, and the deep, DEEP subject matter... Absolutely ass pounding. I mean astounding. 11 out of 10!
The reaction to the final product makes it so much better haha
Really enjoy your videos man 👍
Yeess, I've been waiting for this one!! I absolutely love this format for you guys, and Craig's intro to this one was so good too, haha
I love that you all felt the need to actually watch the original video again, those reactions were hilarious XD But my absolute favorite part was Ross dancing over the jar, hahaha, he was just going for it, so good
I absolutely love these videos. The short films they make are hilarious but watching the behind the scenes just makes it so much funnier. I hope we get more of these, it's fun to watch their creativity and enthusiasm in making these movies in such little time
I am thankful that you were able to bring us a hat films 1 man 1 jar reaction in 2024
Now I understand why it suddenly becomes musical
Beautiful. Such art. The moment Ross danced around the jar had me in tears.
3 hour film challenge is the best thing you've ever come up with
WHEN WILL I LEARN NOT TO EAT DURING HATFILMS VIDEOS
This is absolutely amazing loving the 3-hour film challenge!
“No jar just me a man” could have been a Xmas No. 1
Craigs narration for the intro is top tier really well done
Absolutely love these film challenges, they're just right up your alley. I'm always surprised at how well the final results actually turn out.
The Daf moment at 22:15 was just too good
This is an amazing video. Really high class and something new on youtube. Really feels like a certified hat films experience
you definitley need to do more of these, they are a riot
This is nothing short of amazing. Please keep these coming!
NO JAR JUST ME A MANNN,
NO JAR JUST ME A MANNNNN
This is MASTERCLASS Hat Films right here
Absolutely brave and stunning filmmaking lads. Truly cinema and musical mockumentary will never be the same ever again, nor will mason jars either.
Always a joy to watch these bigger projects lads and working through your back log made this an even more amazing trip.
Keep it up, boiks
This is such an incredible format for them, this one turned out so well! Really hope we see more of the 3 hour movie challenge in the future
Waaaaay! The boys did this again!
Why have you brought this back to my memory???
I took a drink right as Daf said "oh my god, for god's sake" and COVERED my desk from the erupting laughter/soda thats everywhere now
THIS this is why Im a member.
This was genuinely great - wouldn't have realised it was all cut in camera. Also it was mostly coherent with an followable plot!
This musical mockumentary style was so new and original that i cant just rate it to a 10, i gotta turn it all the way up to 11.
How has nobody else made this connection 😂
Ross - "We did it on a subject I never thought we'd cover"
Also Ross on every episode of hatchat - "Guys let's talk about one man one jar again!"
Love that totally safe extension lead, lads!
Filming, singing, putting stuff up yer arse... this is *peak Hat Films* content
I havent watched "1 man 1 jar" in 20 years at least, but I can clearly see it in my head.. That is THE video that has litterly scarred my brain
These videos are the reason why I consider Hat Films the cream of the crop.
Ludicrous and brilliant 😂 another great one guys!
Also just a hats off to the guys' musical talent again, nice playing and singing Trott and Smith!
I would pay to see more of these types of videos, absolutely love it!
The fact that they were watching that entire video not even five minutes into this was so funny to me. Only Hat Films could pull this off.
This is genuinely one of my favourite ever UA-cam videos. Absolutely amazing entertainment. Great stuff guys.
I love they actually just sat there and watched One Guy One Jar for this video and while Ross and Trott are horrified, Smith definitely would have watched the whole video
Honestly the funniest part was their reaction to 1 man, 1 jar 😬
Incredible artistic versatility creating a Musicmentary. Love this series so much
The butt bots sre finslly right, this is s masterpiece and your worl really does fill me with joy
These challenges are seriously SO much fun to watch, i hope the Hats have as much fun making them, what a cool idea
Me eating breakfast
Them: Instantly bringing up 1 guy 1 jar
Truly, Hat Films at their very best, this has me crying laughing 🤣
I love how in the part Ross is dancing/squatting above that jar in the alleyway. A rondom guy walks passing them.
Like he must notice 4 adults doing some crazy shit. and be even part of the end product himself.
Nice to get some context for the final result, i admit to being perplexed by one man one jar being related to time travel when I saw the film initially. I hope these film challenges carry on
Fun fact, glass jar man just stuffed tissue up there and went to work carrying on his day
I enjoy this content so much. This type of thing and your incredibly well edited vlogs are my favorites to see!
This is exactly the stuff I watch you guys for. I love stuff like this!
1M1J Cinematic Universe.
I love how Hat Films made songs faster for this than Jingle Jam lol
I was just thinking how we needed another one of these! Love it!
"...resumed engaging in his hobby."
Whittling?
you should genuinely post the film publicly, it’s the kind of video that could absolutely go viral it’s so absurd and silly
Haven't even watched yet and i know its probably gold. keep up the great work bois. The vlogs, these sort of film projects, the music of course. all brilliant stuff.
(edit: currently at the 1 man 1 jar bit.. yet it think my statement stands)
this is such a good format for the boiks creativity, love it!
These videos are so fucking good lmao, it's absolutely perfect for the hatboys creativity
The film looks exactly like it was a vice documentary filmed a decade ago
Maybe two decades ago at this point...
The video's fine, but I know we're all here for that 1 man 1 jar reaction segment.
Also, going to subway, the sandwich brand, to check off the "busy subway in the city" requirement was a clever workaround.
I would watch a channel entirely dedicated to these.
i would say the pacing was pretty decent in this one. most of the shots where cut pretty clean. :)
Love this type of content, very rare get to laugh out loud watching things, already done it multiple times only ten mins in 👍🏼
Oh my god i just rewatched the last one yesterday night and a new one is out?? This is the highlight of my month ❤ thank you hat boiks
Amazing work as always boys, I'd love to see more of these, I'm hoping they have to do a horror one I think that would be hilarious.
Absolutely fantastic video! Top notch Hat films right there
Somehow the sudden musical number is MORE unhinged after seeing why it happened.
ACTUALLY Incredible. Well done! 👏🏻
triforce asked where all the good, medium-budget films are nowadays... someone call lin manuel miranda, i think this has potential
This changed my life. A masterpiece.
this was amazing. absolutely amazing
More! More! This is awesome stuff
Love me their live action stuff. It's been a long time since YT reccomeneded me my British boys
