أرملة الرئيس الفرنسي الأسبق فرنسوا ميتران، عُرفت بشجاعتها في المقاومة الفرنسية ودورها الإنساني وتأييدها لقضايا الأقليات. عملت وهي في السابعة عشرة من عمرها كممرضة قبل أن تتزوج من الرئيس الفرنسي وتكرّس وقتها للعمل الإنساني. أسّست "منظمة حريات فرنسا" عام 1986. توفيت في العام 2011 عن عمر ناهز سبعة وثمانين عاماً.
أوجد برنامج "مرايا" أسلوباً جديداً أكثر رقيا للحوار المتلفز، ومن خلاله نجح ريكاردو كرم في أن يقدّم لجمهوره حوارات كشفت الكثير عن الحياة الخاصة لأكثر من ٢٠٠ شخصية عربية وعالمية، فحققت أعلى نسب المشاهدة آنذاك، وصار البرنامج محطة ينتظرها كل راغب في التعرّف الى فصول من حياة تلك الشخصيات وكشف ما خفيَ منها.
Danielle Mitterrand, born in 1924, was the wife of French President François Mitterrand, and president of the foundation France Libertés Fondation Danielle Mitterrand. She was a longtime supporter of Cuba and its Marxist-Leninist government as well as a supporter of the ANC and the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa. She also supported the Sandinistas when her husband gave them military aid in their war against US-backed forces in Nicaragua. She voiced her views in favor of Sahrawi separatists, Mexican insurgent Subcomandante Marcos, and the Tibetan people, among others. As First Lady, she spoke out against human rights violations, including in countries with which the French government was seeking to maintain good relations. Danielle Mitterrand passed away in November 2011.
