The writers kind of eliminated any kind of playfulness
Or any element of “the chase” once Nick & Jess got together at the end of season 2 onwards
They made Nick too placid when they were dating (In My opinion)

@@flala2261 That was part of the story arc though. They broke up because neither of them, especially Nick, were ready for that level of commitment. Then they split, date other people, grow up a bit and get back together. The show wouldn't have been half as entertaining or have had any tension at all if they put them together and just gave them a lovely stable relationship from the get go. To be honest the show lost it for me a bit after season 3 and the only reason I kept watching was because of the Nick and Jess tension 😅 it's still one of my favourite shows lol
