TFT screen is crazy cool. The ergos IMO are way better than the goofy upright position of the ninja 400. Even slightly more aggressive than my R3. At that price point, it is certainly going to be extremely hard to deal with. I sat on one the day it arrived at local dealer and I LOVE it more than even I thought. As for the AM EXHAUST look at the Vandemon Under Tail twin exhaust made in Australia Amazing and is about 750 USD. That throttle jerking is the push pull cables on the throttle has too much slack...the 650 adventura is the same way...a slight tightening to take out the slack and that jerking is gone
Glad to see that it lived up to expectations! Hopefully this will push Kawasaki to update the Ninja 400 for once, that thing has not been updated since its release. I want this bike so bad, but I think I'm gonna hold out since reliability seems to be the only thing that is a mystery as of right now, one can only hope it's reliable. Great review!
We won't see the Ninja 400, R3 or KTM 390 updated. They're all designed to the EU's A2 motorcycle license classification. That's really the market those bikes were designed for. Might see feature updates, but the motor's will largely go untouched.
I'd love to see Kawasaki push the envelope and drive the industry forward. As far as reliability goes, it is up in the air still, but you have a 2-year unlimited mile warranty to fall back on so keep that in mind. The bike met and exceeded the expectations I had set for it. Thanks for watching! Ride safe. 😎
It is a fantastic machine that has proven itself over the last 2 years! I'd recommend calling the dealership prior to making the visit so you know they have one available for purchase. Thanks for watching and ride safe. 😎
The Ninja 400 is no doubt the better commuter thanks to its upright ergonomics. The 450SS is just such a rad little competitive motorcycle that takes the aggressive aspect of this class to a different level.
I was looking for you to review this bike and I’m sold. I’ll be going in person to get one just have to figure out the color but I’m sold. Should be a great first bike.
I can see it helping a little, but the lurch ones occurs when opening the throttle body. You’d still be opening it the same amount on initial twist, so I don’t know how much adjusting will help, but it’s definitely worth a try! It’s worth a shot for anyone who has one of these and runs into that small quirk. Thanks for watching!
You finally got it! Nice! I couldn't wait and pulled the trigger on my CB650, but glad you got to test it at least. I might go give it a test ride though.
Sounds great, true....but it just looks so cheaply made and put together. Of course, I'm a Kawasaki guy, but I don't think the build quality of the two (400 ninja comparison) even compare that closely. But I'm biased I suppose. The price and sound will sell this bike, not necessarily how long it'll last or it's support network. Good luck guys and gals! Thank you for the review, as always.
Perhaps my camera doesn't do it justice. The bike is fitted and finished well. Even the guys over at @RealTalkPowersports commented on how the build quality felt better than the Honda CBR500R, which has a similar finish to the other Japanese OEMs like Kawa. (ua-cam.com/video/TfDRV6O90E8/v-deo.html) I encourage you to go check one out in a showroom and fiddle around with the buttons and controls. Take it for a test ride if they offer it! Thanks for watching and ride safe.

Springtime Revzilla gift card giveaway! Next week I get mine! I got the nebula white one! I’m super excited about it I was going to grab the 300ss as a starter bike but then seen they released this in the us finally 😩
I really like the look of that bike but the windshield looks like something off of a Harley and those mirrors look so odd but other than that these bikes sound like an r7 when you put an sc project exhaust on them that 270 cross plain was a great idea to follow you can tell cfmoto is really trying to make a name for there self.
Great competitor to the Ninja 400. Super curious to see how the drivetrains hold up past 10 years and over 15k miles. Don't think I could pick one over the Ninja for close to the same price because the Kawasaki will last 30k+ miles and still hold 75% of it's value. That being said, it definitely looks cooler than the ninja.
It's great to see OEMs pushing each other to build better products. We love to see it! Long-term reliability will be the obstacle that CFMOTO will have to overcome as their brand grows and continues to stay in the USA, but I have a feeling they will deliver on their value statement of "Ride without compromise". Every OEM has defects/imperfections from the factory, so if CFMOTO can maintain similar levels to the current industry players, we'll see similar resale values to current market options. I think they are going to get along A-OK and continue earning the trust of American consumers. Thanks for watching! Ride safe.
Have you put many more miles on it? Any updates / issues / anything? I was looking at a different manufacturers 400 and I'm hearing they brought back some early year clutch issues with the 2023 bikes. Thanks!
Hey Ryan, thanks for watching! This wasn't my personal motorcycle, so I don't think I can provide the answers you are looking for. There are some forums/groups on Facebook and Reddit where you can find other people who own them, and who have put in more seat time so they can answer your question better than I. 👍 I have not personally seen/heard of clutch issues with the CFMOTO 450 platform.
CFMoto has a partnership with KTM and I am suspecting that they are now sharing some ECU and engine components which means the "touchy" throttle may be coming from the KTM-side of things. We have the old 2018-2020 CFMoto bikes here in Manila with their own ECUs. I just think that the CFMoto bikes from 2021 are now sharing the ECU schematics or maybe the fuel mapping similar to KTMs.
Given your prior experience on a dual sport, a Ninja 650 would probably better fulfill the role of next best step to work up the ladder. Both bikes are great fun, but the Ninja 650 will keep you happier for longer than the 450SS since it provides more power across the range of bottom, mid-range, and top-end power. The trade off is more $$$ for the Ninja 650, but the larger initial investment will be cheaper than buying the 450 and upgrading sooner.
Thanks for watching! Check out these crash guards for the main fairings. Looks like they offer red or blue for colors. ebay.us/zwNUO0 Here are some engine covers as well. ebay.us/2uvCqJ Here are some axle sliders. ebay.us/6o9YGt

I mean, they are there so they are in fact real lol. In terms of actual protection and functionality, I don't know how much they would actually do in the event of being laid over at speed. I believe they are made out of plastic material, so they would likely degrade as quickly as the fairings if they go down on tarmac, but having something is better than having nothing. Additionally, if the bike falls over in a parking lot it may be enough to save the rest of the fairings so you don't have to replace an entire set, and just get to replace the slider instead.
Ride both if you can! The Ninja is highly regarded by the community and has excellent performance for the small package. The 450SS takes it to the next level with premium components like the lighting package, inverted suspension, TFT display, Brembo front brake, standard ABS, and a punchy engine with a beautiful sound track. The Ninja 400 is more comfortable, but both fill the same role very well.
I am thinking about this as my first bike over the ninja 400 but im afraid about the reliability /: ... i know the ninja 400 is solid. But the features on this is amazing . I need a bike to be reliable for work since my job is 60 miles away 😂.
Both this bike and the Ninja are adequate choices for what you want them to do, but the Ninja 400 has better ergonomics for the long haul. You'll also have an easier time sourcing parts, maintenance items, and aftermarket accessories for a Ninja 400. That said, the CFMOTO dealer network is growing every day, and the 450SS is an excellent machine, but it definitely has the challenge of a long-term reputation to conquer. Plus, it's a machine that is more biased toward aggressive riding styles. I can't make the decision for you, but I hope this gives you some thinking points to make the best choice for your specific situation. 😁 Thanks for watching! In case you missed it, here is my Ninja 400 review. ua-cam.com/video/IoeUs67sYjs/v-deo.html

I am devo that I can't afford this bike. I have been waiting since May last year for it's arrival in Australia but just changing to a new job so money tight till I get some OT in the bank. I sat on one the day it arrived at local dealer and I LOVE it more than even I thought.
I have a 300NK same seat material and it grips and doesn't stick to sticky leather also makes the seat flex with your body.
In due time my friend. Set goals, make a plan, and get the bike you desire! Thanks for watching and ride safe.
Gorgeous bike! I’m about to pull the trigger on one of these this week! 😎👍🏼
Nice! Hope it went well. Thanks for watching. 😎
@@Omni_Moto Yep, gets delivered in 3 days! Can’t wait!
This bike recently came to Texas, I plan to get one once I have money in the bank 😂
Going for a tron vibe 👍
You can get most aftermarket parts thru cf moto what you can't yes Alied express do
Only thimgs i cant find is a after market rear sprocket and braided lines.
As for the AM EXHAUST look at the Vandemon Under Tail twin exhaust made in Australia
Amazing and is about 750 USD.
Im sure Cartidge kits, will come thru Ohlins or Yss as will a rear shock
A, new bike so in time parts will come
awesome review. It´s really nice to see "rest of the world units" . I´ve always get extremely confused when i see US made reviews hahaha
Thanks for watching!
Got mine on order supposed to arrive in the next couple days! Can’t wait!
Received?
@@Icubela ended up getting a ninja 650 instead haha
@@syonfoo Good choice 👍.

CFMOTO seems to be on to something here. Good review thanks!
I really want one too but I’m stuck in the same boat as far as reliability. I think this bike looks way better than the ninja 400 too.
Ride safe. 😎
CFmoto has a 2-year warranty - high quality parts and workmanship. I’ll take that unknown risk any day for a little beast.
Reliability is my concern also. Kawasaki has been my go to since 1985. I know they hold up, this remains unknown
Was looking at getting one in a couple weeks! I'm only 2 hours from that store. That would be a great ride home
It is a fantastic machine that has proven itself over the last 2 years! I'd recommend calling the dealership prior to making the visit so you know they have one available for purchase. Thanks for watching and ride safe. 😎
Sweet set up . loads with features . awesome entry level
i expect this to be my first bike when the time comes.
Do it dubba bubba
awesome vid, might upgrade to this from my 300nk in a year or 2, unless they come up with something better within those years.👍
Either this or the Ninja 400...I'm getting tough love here. The engine note sounds so better...
The Ninja 400 is no doubt the better commuter thanks to its upright ergonomics. The 450SS is just such a rad little competitive motorcycle that takes the aggressive aspect of this class to a different level.
The 450ss definitely have a better sound and with an exhaust it sounds exactly the same like the mt07/R7
better get ninja 400 than a garbage
I was looking for you to review this bike and I’m sold. I’ll be going in person to get one just have to figure out the color but I’m sold. Should be a great first bike.
Best of luck amigo! Hope you get the one you're after.
To fix that initial throttle lurch tighten the throttle play it should help
I can see it helping a little, but the lurch ones occurs when opening the throttle body. You’d still be opening it the same amount on initial twist, so I don’t know how much adjusting will help, but it’s definitely worth a try! It’s worth a shot for anyone who has one of these and runs into that small quirk. Thanks for watching!
You finally got it! Nice! I couldn't wait and pulled the trigger on my CB650, but glad you got to test it at least. I might go give it a test ride though.
It's worth swinging a leg over if you get the chance. Congrats on your CB! Ride safe. 😎
Cb650 is a far superior bike than this.
(ua-cam.com/video/TfDRV6O90E8/v-deo.html)
I encourage you to go check one out in a showroom and fiddle around with the buttons and controls. Take it for a test ride if they offer it! Thanks for watching and ride safe.
Dude my wife watched this last night... She told me she wants an NK of this 😂. She's hyped asf over it
Sharp bike!!
Great review!
This looks incredible!!! Have half a mind to head over to Head Motor Co, to get one of these! Love your videos, look forward to more!
They are sold out right now. The 3 they were allocated lasted all of a week. You can get your name on their list to get the next one that shows up though!
Thanks for watching. 😎
This with BST carbon wheels would be a total blast!
Thanks, very good reviews, I'll have to try and find a local supply source

Looks great. It looks like a cbr500r and a r6 had a love child
I can't wait until you do a review of the Cfmoto 675ss
Unfortunately I no longer work at a CFMOTO dealership so I don't have access to the new models. I did see the 675SS on the website though, and it looks amazing. If I get the chance to swing a leg over one I will absolutely will! Thanks for watching and ride safe. 😎
Wait a minute! I am 5 minutes from that road. I ride on it all the time.
Quite pleasant, really. The roundabouts give an opportunity to really lean and feel the bike underneath you. Ride safe!

Been looking forward to this arriving in the US. Appreciate you taking the time to specifically compare it to the Ninja 400. I enjoy your humor and review style.

I have been waiting to see this 😊
it got more to offer and cheap, so im gonna go for this one. i wont go for famous expensive brand that it's parts are intended to be outdated and cheaply made for their profit. they will use their brand to sell a high price outdated parts and everyone wont be noticing it hahaha.
Booiiii como!? We're in JC. Gonna have to meet up sometime! 🤷
Would be great to see this in a 450NK version. Another great video. Revzilla springtime gift card

Dude I have been watching you since some of your first videos. You are doing so good. My favorite reviews by far. I like how you time stamp stuff. Very streamlined and you funny. Now shut up and do the 2022 yamaha xsr900 before I buy one lol
If I could get my hands on an XSR900 I would absolutely do a review on one. I've never ridden any of the CP3 bikes from Yamaha, so I'd love to get that under my belt. Thanks for being here from early on!

This bike looks absolutely great I just wish they made a naked upright version
Safe to say it is in the works and could be in the US market by 2024.
450NK already in china market right now. may be land US next year.
You can adjust the throttle easy!
Where did the quick shifter go? :(
With an exhaust this thing sounds like an MT-07
I stopped you at a qt gas station an said your bike looks sick! Ha small world
Hey thanks! Small world indeed. 😄
If I could lower it enough for my 5' frame, I'd buy it.
Ride safe.
love ur videos :D
Thank you. 😎💯
I have not personally seen/heard of clutch issues with the CFMOTO 450 platform.
I have seen other reviews. It does not have “frame sliders”. Looks the part though.
It's because of euro 5 compliance. New bikes runs extremely lean now
Those bikes used a Bosch ECU. Earlier were Ducati Energia. On the 650 models.
Springime 450 SS Review BOIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIi!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I rode a 250 dual sport for a year, i was thinking about the 650NK but because i want a daily, plus that 270 crank i thjnk this is what ima go with
450SS > 650NK
@@Omni_Moto thanks bro , solidified my choice!!
@@Omni_Moto wait hol up….. Ninja 650 or 450ss 👀
@@Omni_Moto cool, jus the info i was looking for , I appreciate ur input bro !
my dream bike 🔥
Coming from cycling I can attest those winglets are very active even at low speeds
Nice review. Let me know if there are any crash-guard or safety guards that are available for safety of bike
Thanks for watching!
Check out these crash guards for the main fairings. Looks like they offer red or blue for colors. ebay.us/zwNUO0
Here are some engine covers as well. ebay.us/2uvCqJ
Here are some axle sliders. ebay.us/6o9YGt
Could you make a video on a tail tidy suitable for this bike and propose an idea on how to keep the indicators operational please
watch this ua-cam.com/video/kgD0HXYGMp0/v-deo.html
Just posted a couple days ago. I ordered this tail tidy a few days before this video was posted. Excited for it to arrive!
ua-cam.com/video/kgD0HXYGMp0/v-deo.html
looks fun, i wonder if they ever do demo days
They do! I don’t know when or where, but they do demo days lol.
There are so many bikes including this that i want for first bike because I don't know what type of rider I am yet
It actually sounds nice
Damn need to upgrade my 300ss to 450ss
i recall some review says the sliders are fake
I mean, they are there so they are in fact real lol. In terms of actual protection and functionality, I don't know how much they would actually do in the event of being laid over at speed.
I believe they are made out of plastic material, so they would likely degrade as quickly as the fairings if they go down on tarmac, but having something is better than having nothing.
Additionally, if the bike falls over in a parking lot it may be enough to save the rest of the fairings so you don't have to replace an entire set, and just get to replace the slider instead.
9:13 😢 Rest in Peace
There a few of these at my local motorcycle shop idk if I should get this over the Kawasaki ninja 400 as my first bike
You’re a good salesperson
Thanks, you're a good viewer ❤
like 359ss but il like sit up position i am a older rider but it has it all
I am thinking about this as my first bike over the ninja 400 but im afraid about the reliability /: ... i know the ninja 400 is solid.
@@Omni_Moto thanks for the advice !(: im gonna go check out that video also ! You got a new subscriber here. I think I'll stick with the ninja for now as my first bike. And if in a year see how the CFmoto is .
my first bike was the Cl-X 700 Heritage. It was until I got in a crash and nearly died. My own fault of course, The weird part is all the research I'm doing and everything I'm looking at regardless of tier of CC or sportsbike or naked or what not everything brings me back to CF moto bikes and I loved my bike. the only gripe I had was that the plastic thing where the license plate goes hung over back tire which was ugly af. beyond that I had no problems. Idk what bike to get for my 2nd one once i'm recovered but it's all leading me back to CF moto lol
Whatever you end up with, I hope you get something that makes you happy and you enjoy riding. Be safe out there! All the best. 😎

Omni Moto..when you’re riding it in the highway does it feel like it’s struggling when you go 90 MOH or more or does it feel like it can easily handle it??
Easily handles 90. I ran it up to 116MPH and it had a tad more left.
