@@DailyMTBRider I like steel tko. My aluminum chameleon was as supple as steel, but most aluminum hardtails rattle my fillings out. It was the exception.
I remember in the late 80s early 90s steel was the standard frame material and aluminum was exotic. Carbon was nearly impossible to find. Steel did have more flex and was a softer ride, especially considering most bikes were fully rigid back then.
Love the videos bro. I'm trying to get into the sport myself, first time I've ridden in probably 20 years and being from Western Washington too, I love that there are lots of trails to play on. Baby steps, but watching videos like yours make me wanna get in it and enjoy life on two wheels like I did before I got a driver's license, haha.
Nice Video! Definitely one of the best Mountainbike channels out there. I have an Nukeproof Scout 290 and noticed the same thing as you did, the bike is really good out on the trails and jumps but it's not as easy to bunny hop. Hope your having a great day cheers!👍😀
Great edit like always. Glad your back and riding. Was missing your videos and was wondering when you were coming back with a video. Those trails look super fun. To bad you are completely on the opposite corner of the US then me.
Was pleasantly surprised with how the audio sounded, as I had heard some bad reviews of the H7B on the Karma. But I thought yours sounded great. Love the videos man. Keep up the great work!
@@DailyMTBRider that's sweet, dyude. Despite its audio issues, the Karma gets my vote for best stabilization. Also a bonus that you can connect a battery back to the grip and run it almost indefinitely. Might be buying another Karma Grip now-ish ...
Good stuff! the karma gimbal seems to work great, audio sounded good. May need to check that out, where are you holding the attached remote? that's the only thing that I really don't like about the karma
In my opinion on technical stuff the faster you go the better you float over it. Slow speed gives you way more chances to hang up your front tire and go over the bars.
Lol I WAS literally going to name my next video verbatim the title on your thumbnail! But aside from destiny, great video, vintage DMTBR hardtail shredding, spongebob laters, and commentary!
Y'know when I really noticed the gimbal noise was when you were off the bike, not even moving that much. Which is weird? Anyway, we're also finally riding again here in New England, nothing like that first spring lung buster rip!
Lol, ur quote 'I'm too old,too fat and too slow'😂😂😂 That's from NOT riding every day, or even every season!🙄😋😋😋 you need a hose / portable bike wash sponsor now so u can get muddy! Dont be a fair weather rider!😳 Nice vid btw...best yet
Nice vid!! Beautiful trails. But... ChroMo?? Is it 1992?? Damn that’s my youth bro!! Lol. Everything old is new again. At least on your chromo you got modern geo, stems and bars. Back in the day we had crazy long stems, narrow bars, and steep af headtubes. Great hardtail riding, keep it up. And agree- it was a long, long winter on east coast too. But spring is here! Ride on man!
Nice ride. I had a steel roadie a while ago and it was super soft compared to AL bikes. I'm curious why so many youtubers don't clip in. I hit some fun on my bike and I use crank brothers....I recently had to switch to flats for one ride and I couldn't stand how my feet kept moving, and I ride nice Chesters...love the channel keep it up!
I'm running the FSA afterburner wheels and hubs - they're super sick man! And it's been a long winter, gone through some family stuff, but I'm back in business!
Definitely jealous you guys can get out and ride already. We've got at least another month before the single track trails are open already. #imissthelower48
EDIT: MIPS Rock XD A lot of people need to use a GoPro themselves, just once, to see the reality of the "GoPro Effect". Can't wait to get my own and start recording my stuff, for posterity if nothing else.
I'm about to buy a new hardtail and it's a toss up between the ns eccentric and the nukeproof scout. I would love to hear your thoughts. Bare in mind I live in the mountains so my local trails have a lot of climbs and downhill. I think the nukeproof has a better head angle for downhill and I've heard wasn't too bad for climbing either. What do you think? Great channel btw
Great video, audio is great. I'm not a fan of the karma grip, makes it look very unnatural (especially the handheld shots). I think the hero 7 is smooth enough without a gimbal.
Hey Josh I'm curious how you are liking your eccentric? I'm thinking about purchasing the eccentric frame. I saw you mentioned it's not easy to bunny hop. I thought it has a short chainstay? I've been looking at this frame for about 2 months now. I figured it would be more playful and a more fun ride. Plus fit me better than my diamondback Mason pro. Love the vids.
I absolutely love it! If I wasn't sponsored by NS, i'd still buy it in a heartbeat. Because it's so long, it takes some getting used to for bunny hops, but that long wheelbase is a dream when you're riding!
So why a hero 7 and gimbal? Pics of set up espec for voice without wind noise please...how u achieve that. LOTS of gimbal drone/humming on that vid thou bru
Trail looks amazing, and you don't look like you're holding back on the hardtail! In my best "get off my lawn" cordial old man toned voice....one word of caution, these are your buddies so it's a little different, but be CAREFUL about coaxing people into riding things they are nervous about. I'm sure you know that, but occasionally we all need reminders. It's a lot easier than you think to end up the target of a lawsuit, and you may be proven innocent in the end, but it may cost you $20K to do it. We all want to THINK no one is going to resort to that, but when people are staring a $350K hospital bill in the face, sometimes things change. If anything you're doing can be construed as a "clinic," then there's reason to be wary. Just a PSA from a dust farter who has seen a lot of crap over the years.
Niccolo Defendi-cho cause I don’t like mountain biking lol or biking at all but I know him irl and I support him so I still like and subscribe but I don’t watch the videos

A great ride...and this video is proof we always progress more when you ride with someone better than you.
Really nice stuff. I want to know more about that bike
Dope bike and scenery! Looks like e-wok territory!
