      I don't know where you got this from. It's a common myth, but there is no evidence that white ravens are shunned by their families, crows and ravens in general have extremely tight social bonds. Albino and leucistic animals of other types can be shunned, but that's not something see in corvids- usually they die before adulthood for other reasons, including blindness and predation.

    • @anaalina5964
      @anaalina5964 Місяць тому +20

      Actually a lot of animal species do not reject offspring based off coat coloration. If it's blind or deaf and the parent/s notices it, it may begin to weight it's options... or the offspring could die as adults(more easily spotted) after no longer having parental protection. It's overall a rare phenomenon, so it's not the most documented.

Apollo's white messenger raven/crow told him the bad news and in a fit of rage, Apollo cursed the bird's beautiful white feathers black. Thats actually wholesome,for what ive seen and read diferent birds and other animals too (like albinos,melanistics,etc..literally diff from what they normaly apear in nature) are bullyied till loneliness and death..they are excluded from their nests and socialy are detested for being different,so actually seeing one adult,in such a beautiful shape AND receiving an actual mating dance from an comon partner?? Its so incredible that makes my heart warm,even animals know how to acept and love differences..

    I adopted a black kitten, who had the name Raven, nine years ago. Last year, I adopted a gray kitten - who had the name Corvus. This is them two, in bird form. The black raven even nips at the gray/white one, the way my Raven nips at her little brother, Corvus.
