Pastor all my prayers are answered in some forms or another, maybe not the answer I was looking for but i have come home to realize God's way is not my way and my way is not God's way either way I have seen God's words and his ways come to fruition and that's good enough for me, I am seeing it happen in real time. These are good (as always!). Problem is, I can think of a few unanswered prayers in last five years let’s say that don’t reconcile with these. That’s where my faith struggle is now.
I'm not a boy I received
I received God has something better better for me
I usually agree with PD but not on this one.
Scripture makes it clear why He doesn’t answer my prayer.” If I regard iniquity in my heart, the L-rd will not hear..”
If I regard iniquity in my heart,
The Lord will not hear.
But certainly God has heard me;
He has attended to the voice of my prayer.
Blessed be God,
Who has not turned away my prayer,
Nor His mercy from me
Psalm 66:18-20
Regard= to pay attention to : take into consideration or account.: to look at.. : to show respect or consideration for.
Iniquity= immoral or grossly unfair behavior.
If we want G-d to hear us we have live according to His laws and decrees. This body won’t be healed until we REPENT!
Repent= to rearrange your entire way of thinking, feeling and being in order to forsake that which is wrong.
This is just one example where G-d refused to listen to prayer requests. He even went as far as saying, do not pray. There are more scriptures just like this one.
Jeremiah 11:8-14
Yet they did not obey or incline their ear, but everyone followed the dictates of his evil heart; therefore I will bring upon them all the words of this covenant, which I commanded them to do, but which they have not done.’ ”
And the LORD said to me, “A conspiracy has been found among the men of Judah and among the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
“They have turned back to the iniquities of their forefathers who refused to hear My words, and they have gone after other gods to serve them; the house of Israel and the house of Judah have broken My covenant which I made with their fathers.”
Therefore thus says the LORD: “Behold, I will surely bring calamity on them which they will not be able to escape; and though they cry out to Me, I will not listen to them.
“Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry out to the gods to whom they offer incense, but they will not save them at all in the time of their trouble. “Then the cities of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem will go and cry out to the gods to whom they offer incense, but they will not save them at all in the time of their trouble.
“For according to the number of your cities were your gods, O Judah; and according to the number of the streets of Jerusalem you have set up altars to that shameful thing, altars to burn incense to Baal.
“So do not pray for this people, or lift up a cry or prayer for them; for I will not hear them in the time that they cry out to Me because of their trouble.
Jesus died for our sins. Yes but that’s not a free ticket to do whatever we want and think He’s going to just cater to all our requests. We are in a covenant relationship. If you don’t know what that means, look it up. Follow the covenant and He will listen.
Don’t believe me? Test it out. Just like it implies in the verse in Psalms (above), if we live righteously He will answer. Period.
James 5:16 CONFESS your trespasses to one another, and PRAY for one another, that you may be HEALED. The effective, fervent prayer of a RIGHTEOUS man avails much.

@@benji1289 You’re on the right track asking and reading John 15. If you read the whole chapter Jesus tells how to bear much fruit. He says to bear much fruit, abide in Him and have His word abide in you. By keeping His commandments, you abide in His love. Hope this helps.
