Hard to get Nickatina on an interview. Best question was the one about his song Train with no love.
Right on for askin about equipto, was always wondering if they were still cool or not. When I was kickin it wit Dre in 2004, Q would be with him sometimes and Mac Dre Was still alive. Dre played me the song "Andre N Andre" while it was still in the multi-track at nick peace studio. Damn, time flies..respect to thizzler n dre for these interviews.

I wish he would have spoke on more of what happened with him and Equipto. Something happened. They were the dynamic duo, you dont just totally go your separate ways when yall are meshing that well together

I heard something about equipto becoming too political but idk if it's true
I had Equipto on Facebook back in 2012ish and a few of the dudes from his label. Like some legit rappers and some of his road crew who he took on shows with him. The story I heard from some of those guys was that Andre stole a bunch of money from EQ from the Horns and Halos albums they put out and that’s what caused the break up and ended their relationship. EQ was really upset about that for a long time because he would post stuff talking crap like low key dissing Dre
But real talk, regardless of what Dre says in this interview they were tight for like four or five years until that happened. Like best friends
And personally in my book they were the best rap group ever
@@jaylee6769 ya thats bad if true, unfortuanate how things turn out when you dont have a label backing you. Independent is good till it isnt. Strange to cuz Nickatina prevented Equipto from being in the hyphy documentary MTV made. Andre wanted no parts of it.

Facts. I stumbled on Dre just months maybe just under a year after he died. Didn’t know he was dead until I hopped on the computer to look up his music. I was devastated and couldn’t wrap my head around it. So definitely listen to him everyday and keep the name alive.
