Lao walking up to Luxar's Xern by himself (+1 person) and trashing it is hillarious. No wonder the deal fell through in the end, man clearly had it out for him.
First I'm happy seeing xenoblade x has still youtube content in 2023 (or close to 2024) Second I never really used Lance or Sniper (I tried Bose once but that's all) and I never invested in Lao after knowing he will story spoilers. If xenoblade x get a remake announcement then I will share some tuto about every weapon and I'm going to use your builds if you don't mind.
Aha, at the same time I'm glad people are still searching for XCX content, although that's mainly because the online servers are set to shut down soon. Sure, feel free to use ideas from these builds. Hopefully a port/remake will come soon.
Thanks! Since I reached level 60 very early on, that made it easy for me to make a good skell. I used Joker, the Unknowable's nest in the Divine Roost to quickly and easily level him up, with the help of a phoenix skell weapon, which has a large area of effect that's perfect for frying all the bugs. The nest can be reached without the need of the flight module thanks to some skell parkour (I have a video showing how to do this). Sorry for the late reply btw.
Lao is a pretty decent party member to play as. First of all, he's got damage reflection, which gives him a strong option for defense. He's also got Overwhelm, which acts as good TP support during overdrive (even Ghost Sniper helps too). Crit power + crit chance makes him decent for crit builds. Eagle eye helps with attack and accuracy. Afterburner is effective if built around properly. There's a lot he can do, but there are still better party members for general use to play as, such as Elma. Her decoy opens up more room for potential builds, compared to reflect, which occupies armour slots, and she's easier to use to sustain overdrive. Also, she has pot boosting arts as well for higher damage. About the same can be said about Phog. Nagi is also a strong option. He's capable of heavily damaging enemies with Offensive Stance + Blossom Dance and can even run a decent tank build with Defensive Stance + >40k HP. Requires a bit of investment though, so Phog and Elma are more effective to use with low investment. Other than them, there are more characters that have access to reflection, such as Alexa, Yelv, Boze, L, etc. Anybody with it can get a decent build going. There are other characters that might lack defensive options but are still good at what they do... and then there's Hope. Hope is... yeaaahh... 😅 In overall, Lao is a good playable party member. Reflect does not require too much investment (some gear innately have reflect traits + there's a certain treasure in Cauldros with ether reflect) and his offense is decent too, even if you don't invest that much.

@@GoReadTheManga the last day of xenoblade x online "is this thing on? am I all alone ? is there anyone there?"
The best part about this is the fact Lao wasn’t lying. Great job. What was your farming method to get Lao to max level bypassing the story?
Thanks!

How good of a character is Lao at max level compared to the permanent party members?

@@GoReadTheManga Thank you very much for the detailed explanation!
