Unlucky lads. Overall a good start playing at this higher level. Agree with some of the other comments that you need a middle order limpet to anchor the batting. Fifty overs is a long time and batting those overs out would make a big difference.
It has been a great season for you and you definitely have the quality to continue to climb next season. Just need to trust in Richard as your quirky but obstinate 'Derek Randall'...

@@MaxYourWildSide l used to bat very much like you and was determined not to get out. It is amazing how important you can be to a good team if they know you never give your wicket easily. It was a good nut you got. Only 5 months till nets😁
As you said not enough runs! Another 20 -30 may have bought about a better result.Good to see the lads fighting to hhe death though.
If an opening bat comes out swinging from ball one then we used to bowl quicker and at the body.

Don't mind openers playing decent shots but swinging just isn't cricket old chap.
Why would it matter whether or not the opening batsman came out swinging or not? Any bowler with the pace to effectively bowl short would be using the tactic regardless.

These guys are in div 5 sanderstead were div 3. You are mixing up trinity mid whitgiftians and old whigiftians. Hope this helps.

Every club cricket video I’ve watched in the last 2 years has got bowlers with “bendy arms”.
Round arm action is not a problem.Cannot see any straightening of the arm that could be construed as illegal
