Billy Strayhorn and the Duke would be delighted with your swingy arrangement. Magali Datzira sings in her own inimitable way as Anita O'Day did when the world and Bebop were young.
Beatficul arrangement, I like the way this song has been played, good luck. Besides Datzira being so wonderful when she plays the bass. In this case nice voices.
Great to see and hear Magali again -- and doing sorta jazz, as well! Not only does the group sound good, but so fresh and new as well. And boy, are they having fun! I looked at some of the other Goliards videos, but this is my favorite. I hope they'll do more with Magali!
Wow!!!! As brilliant as it is fun. Magical version of this Jazz classic. I'm glad to see that Magalí continues to be Magalí, even if it's only from time to time...
Haven t heard the A-Train for about 20 years. What a fun to listen this wonderful fresh and dynamic presentation. Love it. The band is really great, stick together and do some more great jazz standards.
Glad to see Magali working again, looking lovely and moving with great energy. I also like the male dance line -- check out The Four Tops: ua-cam.com/video/qXavZYeXEc0/v-deo.html (I was fortunate to see them live in Philadelphia, around 1965). Meanwhile, this is the best rendition of Take the A Train I've ever heard.
You guys have got to put a record together based on this number. This is seriously good music. I’m coming to Barcelona next year and want to come to your concert or whatever gig your doing. And Magali has to become a member of your band. She brings such vibrant energy to your music that has the potential to make you a really top shelf group. Go for it!!!!👏👏👏🎹🎹🎹🎼🎼🎼🍷🍷🍷🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹
I waited patiently as Magali explored the the diverse extensions of the musical territory from within which she established her fan base, her performances within the SAJB just stunning the many people who tuned in to her videos. Don’t get me wrong, since the small group studio performances in the SAJB just blew me away, but in my humble opinion Magali’s voice just demands a big band sound to carry the richness, texture and vibrant energy of her presentation to her grateful audiences. This piece really captured the heart and soul of her singing, the sheer delight of her presentation echoed in the smiling energy of the band. Suggestion: If you haven’t already done so, listen to music from the band called “Chicago”, recently popularised by the Russian group Leonie and Friends. Many thanks. Loved it. 😀🌹🌹🌹🍷🍷🍷🎼🎼🎼🎹🎹🎹
Great concepts on the classic tune. I love the harmonies and the great blend of your voices. Magali needs to do more with you guys--you are all kindred spirits.
Magali Datzira's vocally delightful hoppin' aboard the A Train casts a contagiously playful spell upon the Goliards musicians who secretly switch shirts with everyone but Magali and unobtrusively trade playing instruments to the percussionist's happily-hypnotic and nostalgic rim-shocking cadence of a chuggin' 40's era steam locomotive.
How come the drummer and one of the horn players keep switching places? lol! One minute its the drummer playing sax, and the horn player sitting behind the drums? 🤣
Fabulous

Another triumph fo Magali . She really swings! I have taken the A train dozens of times but this has been the best ride. Great group!
Great to see Magali staying true to her musical roots with this fun rendition.
Excelente!!
Beautiful
Dude! That was so much fun!!!! Joan C... Where's your comment???????

Joan Chamorro has such a great track record of producing young talent Magali is just another example -- Better To The Top, eh Ms. Datzira. Dig it!!!

Fine, delicious.... 😜😜
JAJAJAJAJA
La magia del cine!
Mil vende más Magali que Svetlana 🤩
Patois? What kind of patois is that?
Jamaican Patois is an English-based creole language with West African influences, spoken primarily in Jamaica and among the Jamaican diaspora.
