I had difficulty with the harmonic analysis of this piece. However, when you explained the concept of sequences for A minor and D minor scales, along with the three different kinds of A minor scales, all my confusion was resolved. I could then understand why and how different chords are used in this piece. Thank you so much for doing this analysis and sharing it with us. I really dislike playing a piece without understanding the analysis and just memorizing it. I prefer to understand and then play something. This method has been empowering for me, not only as a piano player but also in becoming a composer and improviser in the future.
Hi Janna. Your videos are really well done and i like your "tone". Only thing i would suggest, would be to balance the volume piano/voice. I had to lower mine a lot when you were playing, :). Thanks a lot for sharing.

I love this piece! Great tips...especially about tying in the theory and the voicing techniques.
Thanks for watching!
Thank you! I like the practice tip about putting a rest in to change dynamics.
Kids have a hard time doing that practice technique at first. It feels really strange! But then it really helps.
I love this song and the explanation!❤

Great ideas! Thank you! Love this piece and love teaching it to my students. Often this is the first piece that they think of as “fancy”. 😂🩷
Fancy! I love that! 🤩
