      But none of these ingredients will help you meet the requirements because plant based sources omega 3 have very poor bioavailability. They convert ALA to EPA and DHA very poorly

    Plant sources contain ALA omega3 which is good but the conversion rate of ALA to EPA and DHA is very poor like 3-4%. EPA AND DHA are the main things responsible for good immunity and brain health. These are available in fishes readily and thus better than plant sources

      Go for algae based Omega3 it contains both EPA and DHA. Fishes too get their Omega 3 from marine plant based sources

    In Karnataka we make flax seed chutney pudi which is called "agshi hindi" in kannada. I'm sharing the recipe for those interested: 1) 100 g flax seeds 2) tamarind 3) 1 tea spoon jaggery powder 4) red chilli powder 5) hing (asafoetida) 6) salt
    1. Dry roast flax seeds or agshi until they start making crackling sound
    2. Let it cool
    3. Fry tamarind in oil and quickly take it out of pan to prevent it from getting burnt. Let it cool
    4. Once flax seeds and tamarind cool, add all the ingredients together and grind.
    5. Store it in glass jar

    All foods you have mentioned don't have EPA and DHA which is much more needed than ALA these foods only have ALA this ALA's conversion rate to EPA is 3-4% and to DHA is 0.5 to 2%. It means you have to eat EPA and DHA sources. Fish oils are way more superior than these seeds. If You want vegan source then go for Algae based omega 3 supplement which has ALA, EPA and DHA all 3 fatty acids

      Utter BS!!! ALA to EPA and DHA conversion ratio differs from individual to individual and it is a broad spectrum. I don’t know from where did you get that 3-4% figure

      Even if the conversion rate is 1%, just a handful of flax seeds will give you twice the number of converted DHA and EPA. Also, we consume a hell lot of omega 3 in our daily life in mustard oil, canola oil and other oils used in cooking

    bhai, yeh baat sahi hai ki fish oil mein contaminants ho saktey hain or woh oxidize bhi ho sakte hain. lekin, fish oil mein EPA/DHA hota hai jo aissa omega 3 hai, jo body directly absorb kar sakti hai. Akhrot mein ALA omega 3 hota hai jo body ko EPA/DHA mein convert karna padta hai. iski efficiency bahut poor hai. better hai, Algae Oil lijiye. woh vegetarian, infact, vegan hai aur stable bhi hai. usmein prachur matra mein direct EPA/DHA hota hai.
