An easy reason why u wouldn't wanna take notes on paper is the fact that every note u take can be instantly sorted into folders using algorithms using the iPad. In my opinion, that's 1,000,000,000,000,000,000% valid cause, opposed to physical notes that can go missing and need actual organisation skill (which I know we all don't have lol), the iPad can do it all for u and more! Loved this video btw! Very creative presentation, much appreciated among all these boring reviewers
One of the thing that this protector does is making the screen matt and show less reflection on the screen when in a very lit room or place like outside. It does dim the colours a little bit (at least the esr magnetic matt protector), but it’s so much worth it when you draw. The cons of having a paper like screen protector are so few that I would prefer this over a tempered glass protector.
@@harshinivaidyanathan6938 i still love it! I haven’t removed it except to show people how easy it is to take on and off!! Also haven’t had any issues with wear on my Apple Pencil.

Loved this review! I saw an older review of the ESR magnetic screen protector, but the one the customer got wasn’t actually “magnetic”! It was just two adhesive strips on the side. So! I was wary of purchasing one, but yours looks perfect! I’ll have to give it a try!
I just bought this same one along with a tempered glass for base (I live near the beach, sand blows in everywhere and scratches are gonna happen) on my new iPad. Everything just arrived and I was doubting my decisions to buy two screen protectors. But I am a screen snob! And I also want to start using iPad for my artsty stuff. Those are two very different screen requirements. So I went to ask UA-cam if it's easy to keep removing the magnetic one and have a dual purpose screen... thank you Nate for reinforcing my purchasing decisions. You just got a new subscriber :)
Thank you kind sir. I’m currently preparing to replace my IPad and I want to ensure I have all the pieces and parts ready for use when it gets here and I was looking at this screen protector. You have been most helpful.
I like the idea of this. Paper like screen protectors are great for writing, but they are total trash for resolution and clarity. So, the idea of just using it when you need it, sounds like a good idea.
bro! thanks for your clip video review i was looking to understand where the ipad pro has the magnets placed, but i guess my search led me to another dimension and i found your video! Thanks for your "NOT NEGATIVITY PART" brotha so many negative people telling bad things to apple or just apple users and then they are using it and saying other wise they love apple. I HATE HYPOCRITES! I HATE THAT TYPE OF PEOPLE! and thanks to YOU! I AM GLAD YOU MADE THIS VIDEO! SUBSCRIBED THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR BEING JUST HONEST IN THIS REVIEW! 🙏
I imagine it would wear out a pencil tip if you’re really writing a lot, but I haven’t tracked that at all. I think it’s likely it would wear at the same rate you’ve experienced with paperlike.
Love the ESR magnetic screen protector I’m a weirdo I use it to protect my nano textured display from possible case induced scratches ESR was fantastic and sent me one, I have to say tho it looks sweet with the iPad mini if they ever release the iPad mini with the nano textured display I’ll be buying it, and also I love your accent so much like forest gump, great video man
Hey Nate! Just wanted to say I enjoyed your review as well as your humorous, down-to-earth editing style. Consider your subscriber count increased by one! :) God bless!
Bought one of these for my latest generation IPad Air. It’s good but mainly for the convenience. Does it feel like paper? Not really, it does when you scratch your nail on it but regarding writing or drawing it seems to offer barely any noticeable friction as in paper in my opinion it could do with being slightly rougher
Great video! Before I buy it though I have a question. On my iPad I currently have the ESR glass screen protector. Will the magnetic screen protector work with the other one underneath or do I have to remove it first? Because honestly the glass screen protector is top notch quality and I’m very conflicted whether I should replace it or not. Then again, I want to be able to draw comfortably so I don’t really know what to do
Yes! Itll still work. I like the feel of it a bit better when it’s directly on the screen… but as long as you’re using a thin screen protector, it works well 👏🏼
Not sure if anyone has asked this already, but can you leave the magnetic screen protector on permanently? I’ve always used Paperlike, but have never fully got all the bubbles out to my satisfaction. This sounds pretty much perfect.
You can - I only take off mine when I'm watching a video for the full experience however if you have a magnetic flip case the cover would pull it Off sometimes when you open it (because of the magnet) but That's not a problem for me because it slaps back on with 100% ease
This is great! Had one question I was hoping you could answer? I got the screen protector application tools with it like wipes and dust removers. Do I need to use these?
Thank you! I wouldn't say it's required, BUT you CAN use them every now and then just to keep things clean. I just use a spray and microfiber cloth most of the time.
First time I’ve heard of a screen protector with magnets! Question - how are the anti-glare properties; that’s more important to me than getting a “paper like” feel….
Great question, so you CAN layer it on top of another protector… but the existing protector has to be a certain thickness for a good experience. I found this answer on Amazon from ESR: “This Paper-Feel Magnetic Screen Protector can be magnetically attached on top a tempered-glass screen protector that is less than 0.33 mm thick”. I haven’t tried this myself, but if you do… let me know how it works out!
Yes! Itll still work. I like the feel of it a bit better when it’s directly on the screen… but as long as you’re using a thin screen protector, it works well 👏🏼
