The Roomba 675 is well under $200 & if you have a Woot Account you can catch it for under $100 refurbished which is how I buy almost everything & its returnable if there's something wrong with it.
Who ever come up with a spring loaded canister opening should be fired. Also you have to use at least 6x Roombas vs 1 Dyson for a real comparison. That Dyson costing 1200 is insane. I'm surprised anyone pays Dyson Prices but I guess some people have money to blow. As far as suction power I imagine the Dyson may be slightly better but not 6x better.
The design of the dyson is so ridiculous it's almost comical. What is the point of making it look like the air filter housing is connected by a metal arm to some sort of 8 armed wind turbine inside the dust bin? It's the kind of nonsense you'd see on a children's toy. Or it's like those stick on fake fender exhaust vents people buy at autozone. For that reason alone I'll never get one, it's goofy as hell. The Roomba cleans almost just as well, is very well designed and reliable and a reasonable price. Dyson doesn't even have a good track record with robot vacuums the 360 eye was an unmitigated disaster. Also the checkerboard sites on the docking station, are we being serious? There's no way those are legitimately necessary given all the sensors the vacuum has, the Roomba got to its docking station just fine without them. However, the checkerboard stickers are often used in robotics development so the robot can be trained to identify a specific target. Is it cool to have a robot in your house use the same technology? Sure. Is it necessary on a consumer product? I really can't see how.
Great review! I just learned that even in quiet mode, the Dyson still has much more suction than any other robot vacuum.
I am going to wait till the Dyson has gone on sale or it is available with an auto empty station.

That design isn't for show, it's the cyclonic assembly which can be seen on literally every Dyson. You are very ignorant.
@@aaavin9629 I presume @SubstanceD91 was about the design like a baby toy. Cyclone can be made normal shape not like a turbo hiper plane jet.

Dyson = cost a lot more for brand name. You can get smart apps on many robot vacuums brands fior a lot cheaper.
