This is an old tactic that goes back to the Roman times. They want the people to leave so that there is no more dissent. People need to stay and speak up and save the land that their forefathers died for
The railroad and trucking industries should just halt their trains and trucks in Nevada, and Arizona. That will force Californians to drive to pick up their orders. When I fly, I refuse to fly through California. I rather take a longer flight through another state. If I must fly through California for some reason, I never buy anything at the airport during my layover. I refuse to spend a dime in that state. Correct. The carbon dioxide emissions from fossil fuels have the net beneficial effects of greening of the planet with increased agricultural yields, reduced winter heating costs, fewer deaths from hypothermia and postponement of the next glacial maximum. Net Zero is prohibitively costly, impractical and totally unnecessary. It is economically destructive delusional insanity.
All those electric cars they love don’t pay gas taxes. Duh. Gruesome didn’t think of that did he. Now everyone in CA will have to pay by the mile, PLUS the gas tax (if that’s your preference).
And yet, railroads on the north coast ceased to exist entirely after the flood of 1964, deemed too expensive to replace. Rail cars and engines were left stranded and rusting on many miles of existing track. Northern California has been ill-served by the government in Sacramento and should separate from the idiocy in the south and central state.
You know that's actually not a bad idea I mean sure it would take some time.Although I think that electrifying the trucks is,not a good idea cuz like he said it's more prone to accidents if it's made that way. so electrifying things, making things eco-friendly does have good intentions but it also has some consequences.Like I said nothing is perfect in this world.Oh About the California high-speed rail system it will happen eventually. As long as is there is funding so maybe in 2050,we might have America's first ever High-Speed Rail line between Sacramento and San Francisco.Who knows only time can tell.🤷♂
Skid marks in the underwear of America. California is a dirty diaper...won't change until you get rid of those Communist politicians who keep crapin on their citizens...
In 2020, Biden got 63.5% against Trump. The highest win percent in any state in 70 years. Californians are brain dead. Biden will carry California easily, again. That goes for New York as well. NYC and California voters will always vote Democrat, no matter the candidates.
Back in the 1940's the Milwaukee Road railroad converted its mainline to use electric locomotives and overhead power lines, from central Montana to Seattle.
The best thing about this whole idea is, that because all the crap made overseas won't be able to be dropped in CA at the ports, because there will be no trains to send it across the US, maybe it will force people to BUY PRODUCTS MADE IN THE USA !!!
That might be the only good thing about it on the national level. With no useful ports for cargo shipping on the west coast that don't have to route through Canada, it'll shift trade costs.
Union Pacific and BNSF, start grooming your employees to vote republican. Your trains run our economy and we need you to stay on track! FYI, locomotives diesel engines runs a generator that powers two electric motors, there’s no other way to do it without sacrificing the integrity of our rail system.
These goals will NEVER be attained.......what are they going to do stop diesel engined vehicles at the border? Telling people they can't have motor vehicles is essentially saying " GET OUT', and that's what they are doing
Solvable without batteries, but costly and inefficient. In the US, there used to be many miles of freight railroads using electric locomotives powered from overhead electric wires, similar to what is still used on many commuter railroads. *All* of these lines were converted from electric to diesel many years ago, due to the cost and labor involved in maintaining the overhead wire system. It also requires large power plants to supply the electricity to run the trains. Remember that there are mountains between California and the rest of the country, increasing the power needed to get over them.
Yeah, I remember back in the late 50s and early 60s there were electric busses, trolleys that served the town with electric cables and a stinger from a buss car that powered the bus and tracks in the streets. They phases out and got paved over, in the name of progess. So now we are going to make a great step backwards, " In the name of progess". Some times I just shake my head!😊
So IF California bands all diesel engines and oil based energy resources; no food, no clothes, no building materials, no delivery of new EV’s or their very heavy / expensive / non-recyclable batteries 🔋, no reliable electric services. Be careful what YOU ask for. Left California ONE year ago; was there 59 years, Miss the good old days there 🥲. God bless Forbes Breaking News ❤
A train running on liquid fuel needs to fill up its tanks from a known fuel storage and embark on a 400 mile run of track with a high rate of success. An electric train needs 400 miles of metal posts to carry the wires, and the train will stop if there is an electric black-out! It is obvious that the liquid fuel is the most efficient and reliable!
No problem. No locomotives, no diesel trucks in California. Result: no goods and food come into California.
And no food or goods GOING OUT. That drops revenue even harder.
When politicians are forced to realize this impossibility, they will move all of their deadlines to the future.
Well, if they do make it to CA, then the rampant crim-animals will strip it clean!

Lot, don't look back as you leave California, or you will turn into a pillar of salt. Oh, wait, it's 2024, so 😁 "pillar of parmesan cheese." FJB!
NO! Stop saying that.
This is a beautiful state and is well worth saving.
The more people that leave only makes it that much harder for those us that remain to right the ship.
Maybe the California watched the Titantic go down, and now is facing its Iceberg of destruction from Politicians it keeps electing. 😢
This is an old tactic that goes back to the Roman times. They want the people to leave so that there is no more dissent. People need to stay and speak up and save the land that their forefathers died for
@@rmf9567Don’t see that ever happening
@@TalladegaTomwell then, help get rid of the idiots in California state government
The ones riding from LA to Sacramento are the legislatures. Who else goes there?
The railroad and trucking industries should just halt their trains and trucks in Nevada, and Arizona. That will force Californians to drive to pick up their orders.
When I fly, I refuse to fly through California. I rather take a longer flight through another state. If I must fly through California for some reason, I never buy anything at the airport during my layover. I refuse to spend a dime in that state.
Despite being the largest state by population, California still needs the rest of the US to survive. I say we all allow it to drown in debt by boycotting it completely. No more trucks, trains and cars should enter the state.
I order a lot online. I won’t order Anything from California and some of the NE states especially New York.
Since we buy EVERYTHING from China and their are no ports in Nev or Ariz and Ore and Wash follow Ca stupidity. There is a flaw in your proposal.
You realize California has major shipping ports, International airports and provide the majority of produce for the country right?
We also have millions of registered Republicans..
We’re not a monolith 🤣
@@SunTingWong You must learn that the federal government can tell California to drop dead for all its demands around ports, roads, cars and trucks. Those industries are controlled by the federal government. No one must obey California's state rules and laws because they stop at the state line.
@@SunTingWong Finally, you do realize that the federal government can and will cut all the federal tax money California receives for schools and roads? All the food could be shipped to other ports as well. California is not needed as much as you think.
GET OUT, SAVE YOUR FAMILY!!
Did you ever think that is their ultimate goal? These people keep voting for these politicians that have these radical policies. They will vote the same way when they move to a better community and State
Commiforna mentality has reached all states, Go where?
@@rmf9567Our elections are like a suggestion box.
The worst aspect of all of this stupidity is it is an effort to fix a problem that doesn't exist.
The new electric semis sacrifice 20,000 pounds of load weight because of the battery weight.
wow, concidering semis cargo weight is only 42k to 48k (cant go over 80k total)
The California legislature is just a big circle jerk, with its courts an audience watching the show & applauding the whole mess.
30 cents per mile to drive is coming also. In addition to raising gas tax.
All those electric cars they love don’t pay gas taxes. Duh. Gruesome didn’t think of that did he. Now everyone in CA will have to pay by the mile, PLUS the gas tax (if that’s your preference).
last i heard was $.03 per mile, but by time it hits it could easily be $.30
@@scottmackey4182 Im glad Texas passed a law making it illegal to road tax a fuel powered vehicle (gas tax covers that).
These politicians have no freaking idea about freight transportation.
Don't forget the People's Republic of New Jersey
For their next act of stupidity, Kalifornia will outlaw particulate pollution from tires. No more rubber tires!
❤️🇺🇲Trump2024🇺🇲❤️
The law should be challenged in court. It looks like the state is meddling with interstate commerce.
They would be electrically powered locomotives from an overhead catenary wire, not batteries
They don’t have enough electric power to charge their EVs. How are the going to power trains?
I dont call it a white elephant, I call it the Brown Steak!
Skid marks in the underwear of America. California is a dirty diaper...won't change until you get rid of those Communist politicians who keep crapin on their citizens...
Streak
Green tube steak
What kind of idiot politicians are running what used to be the most envied state in the union
Democrats
Envied by whom? Delaware?
Mexican-American socialists.
Their plan is to make all rail lines run downhill so the trains can simply coast.
The power required to charge the batteries is NOT there, and never will be.
Hopefully I can survive long enough to get tf out.
Just leave

How old are you ?
Know this: Californians for Trump we are here in the millions 🇺🇸❤️
That's the truth!
That's the truth!
Damn right. Trump 2024🇺🇲
That may be true but, "Californians for Trump" will not be the ones counting the votes..., anyway.....
In 2020, Biden got 63.5% against Trump. The highest win percent in any state in 70 years. Californians are brain dead. Biden will carry California easily, again. That goes for New York as well. NYC and California voters will always vote Democrat, no matter the candidates.
How about catenary, overhead wires as in Europe. Very efficient.
A state that can't keep the EVs charged now wants to make Locomotives battery powered too.
Nothing surprises me coming from the State of confusion know as California.
I hope Mr. Forbes has a position in President Trump's administration.
I would rather see him run for president
Can you say political kickbacks?
Vote for me,I'm in ties with the manufacturer
The Golden Shower State.
Back in the 1940's the Milwaukee Road railroad converted its mainline to use electric locomotives and overhead power lines, from central Montana to Seattle.
Who are these people making these calls. I swear if I say what needs to be said I would be banned
Here, I’ll say it for you, the liberal left!! They destroy everything they touch!
Goverment has a drug problem too!
oh come on, just because they found Hunters coke stash....
Common sense! Thank you sir!!!
The more people that leave, the less left behind to fight for California. We need a far bigger and better plan.
Sorry, but with an 80% democrat electorate, there is no fixing this.
Oh good heavens 🤦🏼♀️
Even though I live in Connecticut, gavin scares the s___ out of me!!!!!!
Ugh! Nightmare
This sounds so like the ending of "Atlas Shrugged".
California the first state kicked out of the union.
The first best thing I ever did in my life was a divorce ......
The second best thing I did in my life was leave the state of California.....😂
Just have the railroads and trucking industry dump all their goods at the state line and let California worry about how to deliver it from there.
Is anyone surprised?
ANYONE?
Union Pacific and BNSF, start grooming your employees to vote republican. Your trains run our economy and we need you to stay on track!
FYI, locomotives diesel engines runs a generator that powers two electric motors, there’s no other way to do it without sacrificing the integrity of our rail system.
Not to mention the power that will be necessary to recharge the batteries.
Remember What Forest Gump Said...
" Politics Is, As Stoopid Duh- Du-Uhss !"
It's all been a scam.
Comifornia, a GDP bigger than many a nation and yet a welfare state.
These goals will NEVER be attained.......what are they going to do stop diesel engined vehicles at the border? Telling people they can't have motor vehicles is essentially saying " GET OUT', and that's what they are doing
I have a better solution. Just don't ship anything to California. Problem solved.
Easy just don’t ship anything to or thru CA
Thanks thanks thanks
Solvable without batteries, but costly and inefficient. In the US, there used to be many miles of freight railroads using electric locomotives powered from overhead electric wires, similar to what is still used on many commuter railroads. *All* of these lines were converted from electric to diesel many years ago, due to the cost and labor involved in maintaining the overhead wire system. It also requires large power plants to supply the electricity to run the trains. Remember that there are mountains between California and the rest of the country, increasing the power needed to get over them.
Electric trains are only feasible if the power comes from outside the train (rails or overhead wire) That requires massive infrastructure
If you want to know who’s going to ultimately pay for all these regulations, just go look in the mirror.
That Gentleman is totally right !
OH I'm sure the politicians would find a way to "SPEND" the money they make the railroads put into that fund ! ! ! ! ! ! !
Yeah, that money wouldn’t sit there doing nothing. Don’t worry! It will disappear and they won’t know what happened to it.
Well I guess you want get no Freight. The people will Starve.
