I came into Cave In at a weird time in like 2005 or so... Was hitching across Canada and living out of a tent, and discovered them through some "Emo" kid...
And after a particularly rough few days, cried and screamed like a fiend.
So cathartic that even though their sound wasn't exactly what I would normally listen to, I've had a Crusty Soft Spot for 'em ever since.

Brilliant. I heard Jupiter in spring of 2001, when I was 18. It was such a revelation to me. I listened non-stop for weeks; I had never been so excited about an album before. I explored UYHS a few months later with the same enthusiasm. I’ve been obsessed with everything you guys have done since. Heavy as anything, but not at the expense of melody, musicality and wit. And as a peace and humanity loving softy of a metal head, I’ve always loved the absence of violent or misogynistic undercurrents, because we’re all on the same team, dadgummit! Thanks and all the best!!

Discovered Cave in approx in 2003-2004. Also I discovered Converge by the same time. They became some of my favourite bands , they still hit me hard even tho Im not that into their music but I appreciate what these guys made and contribute to my musical journey.
