***** I already know how to use FL Studio, but I wanted it to be a metal song, which can't properly be emulated on software. I actually have a few songs on my channel from many years ago when I first started learning Windows based music software - none of them any good.
i still use the original K70 I even have the one with the old corsair logo with the swords instead of sails, its exactly the same keyboard just different logo. I can't wait to put some new corsair double shot PBT keycaps on it!
I recently got the Corsair Vengeance K95 and I have got to say it is by far the best keyboard I have ever had. The keys are definately smaller than what I was used to when I got this which threw me off completely for the first week or two until I got used to it. I really like the white leds alot more than the red leds on this k70. I find that the backlit keys kind of look a bit pink and much rather the white and black of the K95 it is absolutely beautiful in the dark.
I just got this keyboard, I'm typing on it right now! I originally bought this keyboard for the red switches, and the switches feel heavier (harder to press), compared to the kailh blue switches that I used to use. The red switches feels higher, since they protrude from the keyboard, although the wrist rest helps for reaching the keys if you're used to lower keys. The cord is very sturdy, it doesn't look like fraying any time soon (I mean, come on, it's like one whole centimeter thick), and there is almost no flex to the whole keyboard. Overall, I think it's a great keyboard, one of the best out there with red switches, and it meets all of the standards it was expected of.
Blank ye its good for gaming too, and it feels Amazing to type on a blue Cherry mx keyboard. Because of the tactile feedback u know when u have a typing error
If I remember reading on the corsair forums correctly, they'll be releasing a gunmetal with blue too. Along with hopefully something that everyone knows is soon to be out, mx blue and brown switches, which were also said to be out within a week or so(didn't list a date in case of more delays).
Really like my K90, and I don't feel the need to have all the keys as mechanical, so I won't be upgrading. It is nice to see Corsair take on the feedback from fans and users though.
Nice review. I'm using CM Storm, but i'm gonna probably try that one. Anyway, dude, I've been looking for EVER that DUNE book and I can't find it. Where can i get it? :)
I guess this means im getting it, ive been mulling it over for awhile, But I guess its the best mechanical Keyboard to fit my needs and you've proven it
Clickidy digity. Will there be other switches/backlight available? Really like the texture on the extra keys and wristpad. Hope they sell full keysets like that.
I never have to look at my keyboard to type, but I bought a Blackwidow Ultimate because I just think the LED's look really awesome, especially at night.
yup i saw it and it still has red rubber keys instead of blue ones, they really dropped the ball. i think gonna call and try to get a hold of sales rep and ask if they will offer a proper blue version later.
well i can understand what your saying. i am just putting it out there because there is a lot of people in the pc crowds that like to bash apple for being overpriced. But, apple thanks to jobs makes products that are so superiorly designed and are peices of art and engineering. Thanks for making that statement. i agree with you 100 percent.
Only problem I've had since buying this keyboard 3 years ago is the rubber wrist board. Don't get me wrong, the rubber part is in PERFECT shape after 3 years of 12+ hours a day use. The problem comes in where you connect the wrist board to the keyboard. The little platic hooks that go in, well 1 broke off of EACH side. Both were the left one if you turn it directly around with the hooks facing up. Wondering if its a manufacturing error because its both left sided, or maybe because the way I put pressure on, not sure.
System Shock is my favorite DOS game. I can only play System Shock Portable, though; the mouse look and texture scaling make it far superior. Hook up a gaming mouse and start glovepie for key-emulation, and BOOM the controls are so, so much better.
I really like how I can light up what keys I want because I play ArmA and it uses so many keys so I can now light up only the keys used and find them in the dark faster
Does the LED problem still persist? Want to buy a black one with red LEDs but I've heard there are tons of people who have the problem that the LEDs are dying very fast. Would appreciate a response. Thx.
If the Pass-Thru USB was plugged into a 120volt cell phone quick charger block could you essentially charge you phone off the keyboard port from the wall plug cell phone charger?
I like them when I play in a poorly lit up room. As for if I can type without looking at the keyboard, yeah, I can do that. I've been able to do that since I was 9 years old, so that's 12 years now. Basically, I just think it's handy sometimes, and it looks good.
You might recall that Logan has mentioned all the stacked up products that they have at the studio. Let them get through all the products first. Be patient.
I received one of these today as a Christmas gift. Now, I saw this walking through BestBuy killing time and I had no intentions of buying anything when I saw this poor mangled keyboard display and I had to go take a feel and I felt Northgate. Yes, this keyboard is very very similar in feel to the historical Northgate line of mechanical keyboards. So my loving wife looked into my eyes and understood, and here it is. My Avant Prime is now retired and this little beauty is working for a living. The point I'm trying to make is this keyboard isn't just for gaming, it's a good working keyboard.
Does the USB pass through operate slower than a normal USB plug on the computer? It would be great to be able to plug my C920 into it, but I don't want to lose quality.
Watched this video 3 times already, I like the finish of the keyboard so much! Now the question, this black one with the reds or the silver one with the browns... I have mx blacks right now but feel like they are too heavy.
I don't get why every backlight computer peripheral doesn't have the option to change the color of the backlight. You either have to pick green, red or blue.....I own one item that lets me pick any color I want. Logitech G19.
yep me too just got mine today! loving it but really i wanted it with silver frame and blue led's but cant find it anywher! so settled for silver and red. but realy a great solid heavy keyboard and lovely cherry red sooooffffttttt keys!!! :)
I got my K70 a couple weeks ago and I had issues with my G600 mouse. The G600 mouse and the K70 would flicker and it would not work. I uninstalled the Logitech Gaming Software and set the K70 to BIOS mode and it works fine now. When switching to any other mode it doesn't work. My BIOS are up to date Z68 chipset.
What the shit, guys?! Why is there a white dot in the bottom right hand of the video? I was about rage thinking that my monitor had a bad pixel. You're a monster!
Yes I am a noob on this subject, but how exactly would I make use of that usb passthrough plug? What is it for? Obviously everyone else knows because I cannot google the answer. I previously had a G15 keyboard and just bought the K70, my old G15 had 2 USB ports on top while the K70 only has one but my G15 only had one plug into my PC. I know I am missing something here, someone please explain in as much detail as you want/can (I'll read/reread it all), thanks.
Can this keyboard be used in the CUE? I have it and the CUE installed but the only thing the CUE detects is my M65 RGB Mouse. It won't detect and I just want to use it in CUE for custom macros and lighting effects.
you guys should sell a razethew0rld logo for the windows key. think of how many you guys would sell. yeah you can get custom ones made, but if you did a deal with one of these key manufacturers i'm sure we'd all want to get a set.
"WASD in the dark" is going to be my next song title... if I ever get a band together.. after I learn to play an instrument.
***** I already know how to use FL Studio, but I wanted it to be a metal song, which can't properly be emulated on software. I actually have a few songs on my channel from many years ago when I first started learning Windows based music software - none of them any good.
***** y7i
I was thinking "Make It Bright" is a pretty good song title too.
I've had this keyboard for two months and this video still showed me stuff I didn't know.
never heard of this KB before till 3 days ago when i got it. LOVING IT so far
bought this keyboard the day it came out and it has been going strong
i still use the original K70 I even have the one with the old corsair logo with the swords instead of sails, its exactly the same keyboard just different logo. I can't wait to put some new corsair double shot PBT keycaps on it!
I've had my keyboard for years. You just taught me how to program the lights I want.
I love this K70.. glad you guys gave it a review!
I have had mine for 2 months and i don't regret it.
This keyboard has improved my computer enjoyment greatly.
I absolutely love my K70.
I've had it for a couple of months and it is amazing!
I got the blue and silver one. First mechanical keyboard I've gotten, and I'm extremely satisfied!
This is the first time I've watched a razethew0rld video in 1080P. Logan, you look glorious.
Between the volume wheel and the sweet aesthetics, this is one of the best keyboards out there
Great keyboard and such a classic review. Still have and use mine. What would the modern equivalent be?
Saw this video, went to Fry's immediately after and bought it, now watching it again! :D
I used this for ten years great keyboard
I literally just unboxed and set mine up. Handy time for this to be uploaded :)
Those two-millimeter cable and Model M remarks were funny!

Been using it for 3 years works fine, all good amazing and lovely keyboard at that time, and is still good.
+Jay Turner any led issues?
Tonny Prayogo Nope all leds are fine, and i keep bashing it when i play league of legos
thanks!
is the keyboard has a utility Engine Program?
iSparKK :D whats that
I just bought this keyboard. It's frikin amazing
This is glorious. my peripheral vision in the dark has found what it needs.

Is the MX Cherry Blues still viable for FPSs such as CSGO?
I don't really find myself double tapping a lot anyways...(?)
Blank ye its good for gaming too, and it feels Amazing to type on a blue Cherry mx keyboard. Because of the tactile feedback u know when u have a typing error
Blank Sure its up to personal preference. i dont like the feedback clicks but others do.
If I remember reading on the corsair forums correctly, they'll be releasing a gunmetal with blue too. Along with hopefully something that everyone knows is soon to be out, mx blue and brown switches, which were also said to be out within a week or so(didn't list a date in case of more delays).
just got this beast yesterday. buYY it is soo good!!!
I have the K70 right now and I love it.
Looks like a great keyboard. I'll keep it on my wishlist for now.
Really like my K90, and I don't feel the need to have all the keys as mechanical, so I won't be upgrading. It is nice to see Corsair take on the feedback from fans and users though.
Logan's got some pretty hands on the close shots...
Its all good, its not just this channel, in magazine they seem to love light up keyboards too.
Just wondered why is all.
Best keyboard I have ever owned. Had a Logitech illuminated before hand. It was nice, but this is so durable and rigid
There is also that undocumented mode where the key that you just press will light up.
Press Ctrl + backlightconfiguration button to activate.
I have the K60 version, seems like they only added the lights into it. But this is an amazing keyboard. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
Nice review. I'm using CM Storm, but i'm gonna probably try that one. Anyway, dude, I've been looking for EVER that DUNE book and I can't find it. Where can i get it? :)

just brought a new tv thought i had a dead pixel must be your camera Logan, almost gave me a heart attack
I think there are blue and black versions out there... I'm not too sure on that, though.
Bios mode is actually for old motherboards, not for new UEFI ones, from what I remember.
Spilled a whole cup of coffee, didn't work then obviously. Took it apart and drowned it in 1kg rice. 3 days later it worked flawlessly! :)
lol wut
Lol it happened again! Still works :D
By any chance are you guys referring to Abby and McGee from NCIS and their hacking antics?
System Shock is my favorite DOS game. I can only play System Shock Portable, though; the mouse look and texture scaling make it far superior. Hook up a gaming mouse and start glovepie for key-emulation, and BOOM the controls are so, so much better.

typing on it right now. SO AWESOME
The ending with the 2mm cable :)).
You may look in to the K95?
i did. i want a black and blue version that has blue rubbers optional keys. why would i put red keys on a black and blue theme.
Does the LED problem still persist? Want to buy a black one with red LEDs but I've heard there are tons of people who have the problem that the LEDs are dying very fast. Would appreciate a response. Thx.

super glued my k70 down, since it doesn't have rubber on the raising clips on the back.

I have this keyboard. It is pretty boss!
Is the keyboard good? :)
BlueMaxMC You bet, haven't stopped using it since I got it.
Hello.
Did the mute button turns on/off when you click it?
oskarstankovic Yeah it did. But the play, skip, and fast forward buttons don't work unless you you're playing music, not videos.
And the mute button works with skype? and how about the led, You don't have any trouble?
Nice stuff by Corsair as always!
I wonder would Logan, you ever review a datamancer custom keyboard i.e. the industrial keyboard and these have been used on the tv show warehouse 13
I got this keyboard(Black version) and it is just aaaaaweeeeeesooooomeee :D I love it so much :)
You might recall that Logan has mentioned all the stacked up products that they have at the studio. Let them get through all the products first. Be patient.

what in earth are you talking about?
Milford Cubicle You would have to know something about keyboards for any of that to make sense.
Does the USB pass through operate slower than a normal USB plug on the computer? It would be great to be able to plug my C920 into it, but I don't want to lose quality.
why does the silver one cost 50$ more than the black one?
why doesn't anyone ever mention the reactive typing backlight feature?
Out of interest, what do you actually use that LCD display for? I have no idea
Thanks, but I got them working now.... I'm not sure why they weren't working in the first place, my a defective driver or usb port
Watched this video 3 times already, I like the finish of the keyboard so much! Now the question, this black one with the reds or the silver one with the browns... I have mx blacks right now but feel like they are too heavy.
browns are the most popular.

I recommend installing o-rings under the keys because this keyboard can be rather loud for heavy handed users
There will be Blue and Brown switch options coming very soon for it, I'll be buying instantly once they come out :)
This guy knows what's up!
this is great, thanks for the review
Damn I would like one with brown switches, or wouldn´t I notice the difference? I´m gonna be doing a lot of writing on it.
yep me too just got mine today!
loving it but really i wanted it with silver frame and blue led's but cant find it anywher!
so settled for silver and red.
but realy a great solid heavy keyboard and lovely cherry red sooooffffttttt keys!!! :)
Would you recommend this keyboard to replace my old Logitech G510? I've tried one "mechanical" keyboard in local store and it was VERY loud...
This video has the snl goth talk feel. The skit with Kattan, Ferrell, & Shannon.
Thinking about replacing my Sidewinder X4 with one of these.
does this feel kind of like a rubber dome?
I was just looking for a review for this, this morning. What do you know! :D
You more than likely can, most keyboards that use cherry switches mount the keys in exactly the same manner and should be interchangeable.
Could I use the special rubber key caps that come with the Vengeance K70 on my CM Storm Trigger??
I got my K70 a couple weeks ago and I had issues with my G600 mouse. The G600 mouse and the K70 would flicker and it would not work. I uninstalled the Logitech Gaming Software and set the K70 to BIOS mode and it works fine now. When switching to any other mode it doesn't work. My BIOS are up to date Z68 chipset.
They Need to do a multi color backlight Version like what Logitech does with thier G510 and G19.
That Said I Currently do have a K95 in the mail.
What the shit, guys?! Why is there a white dot in the bottom right hand of the video? I was about rage thinking that my monitor had a bad pixel. You're a monster!
Gonna get this one eventually with brown switches. I sold my k95 with red switches because they were too light.
20 key rollover? I saw on the specs it says FULL n-key roll over.
Yes I am a noob on this subject, but how exactly would I make use of that usb passthrough plug? What is it for? Obviously everyone else knows because I cannot google the answer. The passthrough is in 98% of cases for an USB Hub. So you can attach your mouse / headset / whatever to your Keyboard rather than to your tower.
I just got the red led cherry mx red k70 lux.....whats the difference other than the vengeance name...its the same keyboard......
Is the polling switch really labled "1-2-4-3 BIOS" :D
Can this keyboard be used in the CUE? I have it and the CUE installed but the only thing the CUE detects is my M65 RGB Mouse. It won't detect and I just want to use it in CUE for custom macros and lighting effects.
Is there a red back light on the blue switches?
I think the blue version is a silver and blue backlight.
Yes there is a red backlight on blue black and brown switches aswell
Check again.
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=23-816-021
Is it worth upgrading from a K60?
is there a version in blue?
Could I plug in a second k70 to the passthrough port on the first K70?
Is there a blue or white one?
you guys should sell a razethew0rld logo for the windows key. think of how many you guys would sell. yeah you can get custom ones made, but if you did a deal with one of these key manufacturers i'm sure we'd all want to get a set.
I ended up buying CM storm trigger mx red i love it but the usb connection is pretty flimsy disconnects alot and no audio ports
Is there a white pixel near the lower right for any else?
