Absolutely beautiful and totally astonishing! Your time spent, and superb drone footage are not to be overlooked either! China has taken the lead technologically and in all engineering aspects, over the rest of the world. There have been many failures throughout history when it comes to building bridges. It takes precise calculations every step of the way to build a bridge that will be safe and last for generations to come. Kudos to the Chinese people in mastering bridge building! The US had its moment from 1880 to 1940 and a lot them were well built.
I live in San Francisco. Took them a decade to upgrade the east span on the bay bridge. Only about a mile. They finally finished with China's help. Steel and engineering. At the same time. China had built bridges all over China.

Absolutely staggering. China's engineers should reach out to their colleagues in the West & introduce some sort of exchange programme where young engineers can learn from each other. If I'm not mistaken, the bridge network around Hong Kong & the Shenzen area were originally based on British design standards but the Chinese went ahead and developed their own procedures from there.

nope they went to a firm from Holland, the firm gives a huge lump sum and not guarantee 100% done, eventually they did on their own
@@blueukc They only seek Holland help in under sea tunnel in the first place, but Holland charged too much, Chinese came up with its own design and built it.

Start planning in 1990, Seattle took 20 years to build its first light rail and keep under construction. 😴😴😴
I live in Oakland, 200 meters street plus hand palm size big square by the lake took 2 years as well.....it caused heavy traffic everday. My gosh

That was before I was born so I wouldn't really know if it is better or worse but looking at current situation with the politicians here right now, I wouldn't mind trying out a monarchy system. A socialist system will not work here because the supreme race here hates it. Meritocracy is taboo here 🤣

I'm in Texas. A little bridge took 4 years to complete and the traffic had to detour because of that. Every time I passed the construction site I'd saw only two or three workers on site, standing there smoking but not working. Damn! What's wrong with us? In china a bridge like that can be done in a few weeks.
