Sorry, but whoever holee modded and lubed those C3 stabs did a terrible job. My holee modded durocks are virtually silent. My ones sound better than all of these!
Next time could you do 1st round all unmodded and 2nd round modded for sound test comparisons? Also, it would help if you included which switch was used for the sound test. Having your golden standard lubed and holee modded C3 is great, but you should also do the same for the rest of the stabs. Just my take. Thanks for the video.
@@Nextrift Interesting! I found that a evenly spread dip of g-lube on the wires and a nice coat of 205g0 on the housings of my c3s made them sound really good. I just got in some 3203 and 3204 and figured that it might work since the tolerances are so tight on these stabs, but I'll keep this recommendation in mind and check out the XHT-DBZ. Thanks!
These things sound great, I just don't get the business choice they are just not available anywhere... They just lose so much points there. Why is this a thing in the keyboard hobby lol
Good coverage, except for the *extremely* disappointing omission of a lubed sound test. Almost everyone watching is going to be doing it, and this doesn't really feel like a review without it. Also, those C3s sounded terrible, you sure they're modded?
Im not sure if it is the spacebar itself or my stabs. But it only rattles on the right side and i cant seem to fix it. I have the keychron q1. My spacebar has a littel warp but i have tried to minize it with the blowdryer. Still not perfectly even :/
We'll test this out very soon! We reckon there won't be any ticking or rattling once the Staebies are lubed. There's barely any room for the wire to move around as it is.
Earlier units (before the plate revision) might have issue with the fitting. But if your unit can accommodate the Durock stabs, the Staebies should work fine!
I love my lubed/Holee C3 v3s. I'd love even more to get the same performance stock. I'll be getting those PC Staebies for my next build.
Awesome, I want some now!
We bet the Staebies will work great with Owlab's liquid metal wires!
@@Nextrift That's also what I've been thinking. I'm done holee modding stabs.

True. The stock staebies sound better than the modded C3. Even my scuffed cherry stabs sound better. No offence tho to the modder
u can't compare C3 and Everglides/Durocks, if u have used C3 before (i assume u didn't) u will know how bad C3 is even with mods
Agree, my holee moded durock v2 is great.
the stock pc staebis are insane!
Grabbed some off Cannon Keys. Pretty excited about trying them AND then using the cae to hold all my extra stab junk.
sounds amazing for stock stabs.

my thoughts exactly, there isnt going to be many genuine enthusiasts that are not going to mod/lube their stabs
Great review. Can't wait for the tuned demo!
The PC ones sound amazing. Definitely going to experiment with a lighter lube.
We've lubed the housing with Krytox 205g0 and a light layer of XHT-DBZ on the wire. Been working quite well so far!

Great review. Sadly out of stock on keyboard treehouse now
Will holee modding make them better or is it completely pointless?
Great review!
Do you know if these will be an in-stock item once they come back? I will have to grab some for myself great review!
It will depend on AEBoards! There will definitely be another run of the Staebies in the near future though. :)
@@Nextrift thank you for the reply!! I will have to pick some up... Just got my AVA board in today!

Will they work on GMK67 or 87?
Will the Staebies fit on a KBDfans DZ60 RGB-ANSI V2 hotswap?
It seems they're sold out and the pre-order is no longer taking responses; do you think they're going continue stocking in the future?
Are staebies pre-clipped?
Does this still interfere with the o ring mount like the bakeneko?

Thank you and where is the buy?
The Staebies are back in stock on Keyboard Treehouse now!
Do they work with ePBT caps?
will this work on any pcb
how to order? form is apparently already closed.
The numbers in the form refer to stabs kits? Or indivual stabs?
Those should be referring to the number of kits you'd like to purchase!
any updates?
How can i get some of these in the UK?
END GAME = WHAT'S NEXT?
it rattles a lot at the space bar
Never thought a stabilizer would make the Durock V2's sound terrible...
He didn't holee mod the durock be, otherwise the difference will be negligible
Do you know what size hex screw will need to be used to take out staebies stabs thank you
how do they perform lubed?

@@Nextrift Great. Noting the tight fit, also interested to see if any mushiness with lube (and might it need less thick lube than 205g00 for example)
Lubing the housing with 205g0 doesn't seem to make it mushy at all! We've even applied a light layer of XHT-DBZ on the wires. Working well so far :)
I was going to purchase these, but the shipping is $30. RIP
Out of stock now anyway.
Cool
cherry stabs better
Can they fit GMMK pro?
