Here are my experiences w/ pc stabies (and gmk spacebar): 1. Super tight tolerance can causes the stab (esp the spacebar) to sound squeaky (unpleasant high-pitched noise) from some sort of frictions. 2. The spacebar gets super mushy when the keycap is fully flushed down, I need to spend lots of time tweaking and perfectly aligning my spacebar keycap. It's simply a trial and error and I hate it. 3. The pc one along with BCP sounds amazing, in fact the only reason I've not swapped to tx is because of the sound. Tx just sounds too flat to me. So my conclusion is: Staebies sounds the best with super straight spacebar. I've heard perfectly straight gmk + staebies. Sounds like heaven.
Thanks for sharing you experience! I will say, after a few weeks I did experience something similar with my GMK spacebar; but I had to warm it up with hot water and then straighten it out that way, and it sounds good, as you mentioned! I currently am using the staebies on my zoom65, with JWICK Nylon Housings, UHMWPE stems by Invyr, and a 63.5g dual stage spring for the switches, with all the foams and these PBT dual shot gmk clones, and it sounds incredibly marbly.
After trying AP TX Stabs and Staebies V2.1 I must say they're pretty identical but the AP TX Stabs is tad cheaper and less scratchy. I'd probably choose AP TX Stabs since it's always in-stock unlike Staebies where you need to pre-order in some websites.
Staebies are way too difficult to work with in terms of how to not get your spacebar/modifiers to not feel mushy because of the tight tolerances. I stick to Owlstabs, best feel but it does require a little bit more tuning. TX Stabs are easy to tune but the feel of the Owlstabs are still a bit better for me.. It feels like the rest of my keys and i can feel the switch.. opposed to using Staebies where i almost cant feel the switch anymore and im just feeling the stabs itself when i press the keys down.
I am having a very rough time clipping in the wire to the housing for the stabs. It's sooo tight! Is there a trick or am I just not using enough strength
@@EBSPITSBARZ honestly, the best answer is to do some research and find a screwdriver set that fits within your budget, I don’t particularly have a good recommendation, but I do use wowstick, that I got as a gift for my brother.
What bit were the screws using? I missed it in the video ( as another comment says it is), but I can’t seem to find it online
I mention it at 2:31 in the video, it's a Hex 1.5- you will most likely find these in precision screwdriver kits. Hope that helps!

You ripped the entire plate off the PCB taking all switches out at once. Never seen that in my life. And then disavowed it lmao legendary
😏
nice vid
it was so hard to get the wires into the housing, nearly hurt myself pushing so hard. had to pry it open w/ my fingers before inserting
Thank you- Yeah, it was something worth noting in the video for sure, like it was difficult for me- glad I'm not alone in that hahaha.
yeah idk why it was so hard to get in the housing, i thought i was doing it wrong for a while

Ooooh! I will definitely give these a go! that sounds very promising :)
DO they sound pretty identical when both lubed? Because I have tx ap stabilisers right now and wondering if i should purchase stabies...

Broo, plsssss. Next time you sound test the mods, especially the space bar. I WANT YOU TO RAM THOSE KEYS…LIKE YOU’RE VIGOROUSLY PLAYING OSU!!!!
I legit laughed reading that comment hahaha- I wanted to at least make it sound like it would under normal use tbf!

What is that animated wallpaper you are using? Is it on wallpaper engine?
nice
Thanks!
Do you know what size hex screw will need to be used to take out staebies stabs thank you
Shit forget it you addressed it in the video thank you so much bro earned your self a like and subbbb
You're so good, I would've also said in a comment, and I appreciate the sub! helps out a tonne ^^
