What a lovely film. So important to see the contrast. Loved watching the jolly faces of 1935 and hearing all the old songs. Thank you Graham! Pamela & Suzannah x
Great job, what a contrast between then and now. Socially as well as architecturally. Even though there was great poverty people still managed to share good times. Every body knew each others families and shared such a lot. Although it looks very clean and smart now it seems lacking in that community spirit that existed back then. The characters that we remember as children still in our memories. Ben Hur was past its best in our day but it still was a landmark. Well done, love the presentation. Dad would be dead chuffed with how you put it together.
I adore hearing about history. I grew up in peaceful times in the early 90s and onward. My family: dad's family from from Urmston and my mum's: from Derbyshire. I was born in the Midlands and lived there until I was 7. For 20 years I lived and experienced Somerset. Now I live on the European continent.
My wife lived in east end till 11 hrs.old remember all those places things not improved for the best communities gone now. Remember our grandad saying old road park has 7 different airs there used to tell our mum to take kids there.she did every day. Good video

Very interesting to watch and to study the people as they were in 1935. Thank you so much.
