Christian Hook deserves the win and recognition as Artist of the Year. That dude has special gifts; a kind heart and talented hands are only a couple of things that people admire about him.
Thanks for sharing an awesome story. 👍🏽
I'm so impressed by the way Christian introduces unconventional approaches to art into his research and how these playful experiments allow him to interact with his subject. Christian is SO inspirational!
utterly brilliant, what an artist he is .
No words to describe the brilliance of this artist....makes it look so easy....the movement....
There are no words to describe the talent in this artist...
Fabrice is such a humble man and so intelligent. It is wonderful that he has no bitterness over his fate and has devoted his life to coach others.
Not all art touches our heart but this one has for many reasons. All the best to Fabrice and to his family. And all the best to all those who made the story come to life.
A emotional journey for Fabrice and his family. Christain captured the essence of Fabrice, and the detailing with the key and 78 minutes to represent the length of time Fabrice was unresponsive was very touching. Also the meaning behind the three images of Fabrice.
Christain is extremely talented and really sees either the person or the horse he is painting. X
The second final portrait for the Doctors and the Heart Unit was really quite special and the unveiling gave me goosebumps from my scalp all the way towards my toes! Just keep painting!
Christian is so creative painting Fabrice's face on the football.
Such a magnificent artist, Christian Hook, and a beautiful man, Fabrice Muamba.
Christian always say that he hopes his sitter will like his paintings as well. Such a generous and thoughtful artist.
I love this! What lovely humans!!!
Christian Hook is an amazingly gifted artist, and I enjoyed watching how he thought out what went into the work. Fabrice Muamba's story is a gift in itself! The symbolism of the key. .. spot on! God bless you both!
The movement in the final piece takes my breath away!
I love the Rubic's Cube, Christian continues to amaze me with his original ideas.
I'm so late seeing this production... but one of the most spectacular accounts of life, faith, near death, talent in art, skills in medicine & all phases of human effort hosted by the sturdy fragility of a miracle. Just exquisite!
Brilliant!!!!! Christian is incredible with his compassion and insights so beautifully expressed in his portraits. He completely captures each sitters essence.
Two amazing men, each inspirational in his own way.
A beautiful story that inspired me and I will pass it on. I have had a miracle in my life also. My husband had been told he would not live with the type of cancer he had. He is very much alive ten yrs. later, a Pastor Counselor, helping many, many people.. We thank God every day. Your gift of painting is enhanced by the time you take to know your subject. What a joy to watch your painting unfold. Thank you and bless you.

Such a wonderful talent, and a deep thinker. Love the passion that he puts in his work. I would love to own a piece of his art one day.
Fyi, I cried. When he explained the symbolism of the key, that's what did it for me, Christian u are amazing.
I cried throughout this episode and especially at the reveal.
I,m not a crier , but oh boy, I struggled here ,
Thankyou for loading this. A wonderful story and artist.
Truly powerful artwork
Fabrice is an inspiring man and Christian is remarkably talented. The final reveal and symbolism are incredible. I love the difference in study for each phase leading up to the final piece, as well as the collaboration on the hair portrait.
I love this series. 👍🏼 🎨🖌️👨🏻🎨
Love the deep symbolic approach Christian takes and how he evokes the spirit and humanity of the subject and then adding the corporeal essence of the person…not only for antiquity but such a layered portrait-so fascinating!!! I love the process…a 4d collage artist-absolutely perfect!
I love this portrait, the details, the movement. Well done.
omg, my EYES HURT trying to watch this. It's completely fuzzed up. How is anyone else able to watch this?
Wow, this is só moving, on top of the magnificent creativity. I díd cry!
God Bless everyone who saved Fabrices life!!!
This made me cry, amazing story, amazing men, amazing artist. My partner had a similar experience that came from nowhere,he sits next to me two years after major heart surgery due to a very rare congenital heart condition.Love and blessings to all xx 🙏🏼💚
Very very moving story. The 78 as part of the key is what turned on my tears. Beautiful.
A wonderfully inspirational episode on many, many levels.
I love the way he teases out the psychology of his sitter....very gentle but very deep.
He's all aspects of an incredible artist, someone who cares, respects and immortalises the person. He deserves every bit of recognition and success!

Amazing artist! Amazing story
two Wonderful guys for different reasons great docu
such an inspiring man and talented artist.
OMG!
I was a boy who wanted to play professional soccer… but at 17 sprained both my ankles so badly that I couldn’t run for 5 years… so that ended my dream and forced me to change my life completely. At 54, I had to have my mitral valve replaced because it was letting so much blood back in to my left atrium that it threw my heart into afib that felt like a pick axe was chipping away at the same rhythm that a 4 year old would poke me wanting to know every answer to every question under sun the sun. Thanks to 2 open heart surgeries I believe that my heart has become better at being in sync. Though it occasionally goes into afib for a day or more. When it does go into afib, it doesn’t have the pick axe feeling any more. I liken it more to have had a muffler put on it. It doesn’t happen all that often. My record is 576 days in a row of what I call “good beats”. The afib only starts when I get thrown emotionally or I exert myself too much. So yes… it makes me quite fearful of doing too much physically. So, I’ve returned to the activities that I used love doing before I got into soccer/football… which is painting and music. I can’t tell you all of the levels that this video reaches in me but I couldn’t be more sincere in saying “Thank you” for putting this video up. I’m sure I’m not the only one who is grateful!!!
His work makes me actually vibrate with the intensity of it. He makes me cry for happy in a different but just as intense way as Sargent.
Amazing. All of it. 👏
Wow! I really enjoyed this video! Inspirational! Thank you!
His work is beyond compare! I have been following since he won SkyArts Portrait of the year. He is my art idol!!
I am glad I found this episode..
and very sad about the fact that watching someone paint is no fun with 360p...
Wow
I wonder if Fabrice has had a pacemaker inserted to circumvent any ventricular arrythmias which may result in cardiac arrest.
Postscript: I asked this question before viewing the entire video which answers this query.
Remarkable final portrait with the symbols of faith. Mr. Hook is most worthy of the award, Portrait Artist of the Year.
Wow amazing! Beyond amazing.
Very touching images.xx
Your amazing inside out! You a piece of calm to watch! 💖💖
I love the subjects chosen and the stories behind them. It adds so much to the portrait process🤩😍🥰I wonder if Fabrice had an experience while dead. Its a question that begs to be asked because he was dead for so very long.... The final portrait is superb and sublime it made me cry!
WOW!!!
Thank you so much for this inspiring film.
Very nice work. It’s incredible.
Extraordinary 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️🤗🌻
beauty and process
Christian Hook is the Messi of painting
Hi it is Faye you now me my dad is your friend ok you understand
so an upload where it's all about the visuals, and it's 360 p !!
Is anyone not seeing what I saw? They said he was "motionless," "not moving" but I clearly saw his legs move, twitch and his arms move BEFORE the guy rolled him over. Did anyone else notice that? It's sad that he had to quit playing soccer and it's great he's alive but...smh, his body did not say "dead" to me.
I believe that dead bodies can move and twitch before rigor mortis sets in. He also may have been in the process of dying and might have been clinically dead after they removed him from the field. At any rate, he is back and that's what matters. I am inspired by the way he is rebuilding his life in a meaningful way instead of giving in to anger and bitterness.
I finally saw Christians signature & it’s fantastic! I’m sure I didn’t spell his name right sorry💕
Knowing and liking your sitter is the most important part of a portrait.....thus the montra of my first teacher....never, ever try to do a portrait of someone you dislike because the truth will out!...no matter how aware you may be to hide it!
Wow!
Woow very good
Stunning
Great artist
christian is good. unfortuantely under MCA law, medical professionals may have transgressed that
Yes amazing. I too am curious about his paint. The sketches and final portrait.
Unbelievable story!
Very inspiring
I am an American who knows nothing about "football" and even I was earing up at the part of his collapse
If, afther all of this, his two didn't became best friends forever, then I don't know nothing about humans hahaha.
Yes!!!!
Dang...I mis-read the title as Christian Hook painting fabrics...got excited there for a sec. :/
Hahaha sorry but your comment is too damn funny not to ugly laugh😆😆😆😆. Those kind of things happen to me as well. Thanks for the laughs😄
what's wrong with the colour on this series ?
was the first sketch done in acrylic ?
What type of paint you use
Wonder why he signs his name like that, with 3 dots?
Christain surname is Hook and signs his art work as Hoook. X
