    Random fact; The guitar Malkmus uses here on "Grounded" is the same one he used on the studio master take of that recording...

      Rare of him to play anything other than his mid 70s start.

    The guy who shot this should receive the Nobel prize of rock n roll... To me the best period of the band...and one of the best pavement show on UA-cam.. If not the best ❤❤

    Can anyone explain to me why Wowee Zowee got bad reviews. A LOT of their best songs are on it! Apart from music critics are idiots of course, I don't get it.

    • @thebasedgodmax1163
      @thebasedgodmax1163 2 роки тому

      that's it - the critics just didn't get it. I guess maybe they wanted a more cohesive album (my only issue with it) but even then it's still fucking fantastic

      Wowee Zowee has been positively reappraised by critics. It really does have some amazing tracks. The deluxe edition also has some incredible extras and b-sides. Definitely my favorite 90s band. I'm glad they never tarnished their spotless legacy by recording new material. Their reunion shows are all we need. They are playing better than ever.

    I noticed that on Black Out they don't play the bridge at the end with the cool walk-down.
    In Rattled by the Rush, Steve didn't play the KILLER solo as on the album but does improvise it pretty well

      SM always said he had troubler with this song.. That's why they didn't play it for the reunion shows... Maybe he was still bitter that this song didn't turn out as their killer hit single

      +bill bahen In watching it AFTER I just said "YES", it doesn't necessarily look like Ziggy's, but I saw them in W-S that year, and I can't think of anywhere else they could've/would've played at that time.
