Still holds the HS record for discus, 237' - and now as the owner of both the indoor and outdoor shot records is going to force venues to build longer pits!
@@richardpauly1635 Many pits, especially indoor ones, have walls at the end to stop the shots from leaving it. With how Crouser is throwing, there is potential for him to hit these walls on a fly, which would result in a legal but unmeasurable throw
i love this guy i'm the same age as him. i go to Joseph High a school of less than 150 high school students, i lead my district of 1A Oregon. Ryan Crouser don't ever cease to be amazing.
He's faster and more filled out this year - that video was a year ago when he was 16 and a soph in high school - he threw 201'6" last weekend after a month off with a groin injury (my camera was out of batteries!). I'm thinking he might go 215 by summer and he is now 3 inches from a 70 foot 12 pound shot put.
@Benjamin Anderson he's 29 now and hasn't thrown discus for about 5 years. He won the shot put at the Olympics in 2016 with a put of 22.52m. His PB is 23.01, which he thew a mere 12 days ago.

In the throws you only need to be in the sector lines you can throw beyond the pits its under usatf rules
