Alan has been my favorite people since he first came out on stage. I've been a follower ever since. Hank Jr is a legend. I'm so glad he made it thru all of his hard times. These are 2 of the greatest song writers and performers ever..
I was going thru a crapp divorce nine years ago. I was a trainwreck. Drinking and drugging my life away. Couldn't hold a job and was ready to check out of here. Then one night in June of 2012 I met the woman that would change my life forever. To make a long story short I danced with her in my driveway at 3am in the morning to this song. Fast forward two years later we were married and she gave me a beautiful baby boy and life hasn't been the same.
Same thing happened to me in 2003 and we have a Son in 3rd year in College ! Been together 21 yrs. And love each other now more than ever ! God Bless !
Yep, us Southern boys appreciate hard work and great country. I love the Blue Ridge Mountains and the wide open spaces the South offers too. Southern born and bred and when I die I will be Southern dead. I really love the Southern Gospel too and it is good to know that when I am Southern dead my Lord awaits me when I go on home. God bless our country and especially its Southern people.
So true I may have not been born in the south or live there right now but every time I visit I feel like belong. I work my ass off every day and love country and the outdoors. I may not look it cause I am a geek and look like one but I am country and love it. Hope to one day live in the south and hope I'll be welcomed
@@swspartanhwk I am from Missouri. Not exactly Deep South, but what I have found from folks I’ve met and a couple visits, is that to be accepted in the south is easy. Follow these guidelines: Don’t lie. Be who you are. Keep your word. Have manners. Show respect and it will be returned, don’t think people have to earn yours first. Don’t be afraid of a little hard work. Listen to an elder when they speak, it’s free education. And Bless Your Heart means you’re irritating a lady 😂. This song about a very special person Mary Thomas as I know here. She was my student assistant when she was in HS, and also baby sat my daughter. Words can't describe what a beautiful person she was. It was so sad to see her go. This song will bring a tear to my eye. I can't imagine the grief Hank has to deal with. I know there's a special place in heaven where Mary is looking down.
It’s cool that Alan Jackson and Hank Williams Jr. sung this song together before. Hank Williams Jr. originally played this song and Alan Jackson played this song by himself too🎶
AJ could sing just about anything & Hank Jr. writes what his Dad would record-These are the voices of country the words we all fell in love with so many years ago.
