Low compression if you’re trying to boost more. Depending on your budget it’s better to build your motor if you’re trying to boost more but where you’re at right now it’s fine to me lol
IMO from my personal experience low compression handles more boost which means more horsepower. 8.8.1 compression is ideal for boosting. But i could be wrong
tell me about the brakes.. i have a b20v turbo civic and she needs brakes bad. you should check out the itr calipers on mini rotor brake setup, its a good budget big brake set up. itr calipers would bolt right up to your car and 2007 base model mini with 280mm rotors will keep you 4 lug with itr calipers. btw you can get itr calipers with bracket from rock auto for like 90 dollars and they come powder coated red. thats the brake set up going on my car very soon.

I just finished turbocharging my car it’s running on base map Neptune RTP demon 2 ecu and I’m running 855 cc injectors I’m not running high boost at moment not until I get it tuned first but right now on the base map I’m running like 3 psi cold start and 7 psi once cars hot rev limit 7k and idle is 950!but will be changing idle to 1,200
Gsr brakes in the front and rear are good, but if you want to be a baller get the tl type s or nsx calipers in the front. The rear can be type r. Do research a lot of cheap ways to go bbk or the wilwood kit
It's just when you track the B20 engine is when it blows up or when you push it further then it's limit it'll be unreliable because your constantly beating it and it's just gonna go on you

Dude you have a Bride bucket seat now you should get a 5 point harness you will like it way more than wearing a traditional seat belt and if your brakes are not the good then you should really put your seat belt on for safety reasons. Also why is your read line only until 6.5k? did the power die off there or you just wanted to be extra safe? Rev limiter low on factory b20 does work boy! People don’t understand the rev limiter thing they think 9k all day! But not with stock bottom end b20 usually they safe to 8000 on stock shit
B20s have barely any space between between cylinders thus the reason people say they are weak. Not ideal but with 300hp youll be fine just not the type of motor to make serious power with thats for the jdm h22 engines and k series

Hey brotha, need to help you clear some things up on the b20 motors, there is NO difference in the b20 blocks that makes them high or low compression, the blocks are all the same, the only thing that makes them high or low compression is the head combination...I've been building non vtec motors for 5 years now....you are more than welcome to come check my channel out...thanks

My uncle has a 656 boosted B20v. JDM GSR head with a JDM b20 block. LSD Ls Transmission. Having any boosted car is fun.
