what a great bit of filming and the sound even better, just like being there!!! great stuff Love the oldies at York. Nothing better than heavy freight at speed. Well done. and one of the best on youtube!
I really enjoyed this film, good variety of content, excellent camera/sound. You did appear to stray ... inside the catenary on occasion. Thanks for taking the time to put this together and share with us all. How things have changed since I did lineside in 70/80s.
Many thanks. It's all good stuff, but I especially like the clips around Selby (old home town) and the NYMR. Quite excellent with no music...just the straight goods. Well done.
I did rather wonder if you were a local Selebian. I attended Drax GS years ago (!) in the days of WDs and the odd 8F so to see the MGR stuff was interesting. I have watched them at Whitley Bridge. Thanks again.
Excellent video. Notice how you tend to include foreground vegetation, fields, trees, stations, as well as the train. Feels like I'm right there. Love the variety of freight cars you have in the UK. Much more interesting than here in my USA.
Thanks for watching. I wasn't the best pleased with the "bowling", but I think the shot still had some interest to it. I did my best to manage the zoom prior to the shot at 6:29, to allow all three trains to be seen clearly - whilst maintaining a decent angle.
Nice photography. Just wondering if you wear any high visibility clothing when filming line-side as a few drivers at the beginning of the video sounded the horn as they approached. Whilst I'm all for getting good shots, it should be done safely.
Thank you. I always remain in safe areas when it comes to photography. The drivers who sounded the horn will have either known me personally or done so due to the fact I was at a public foot-crossing.
Very very interesting.Been a fan of big freight for a long time.Fascinates me.Never been lucky enough to be on a station platform when a class 66 pulls through a heavy intermodal load.Love the sounds, especially of class 37,s and 56,s of which i haven't really seen. But watched with fascination the long coal trains pulled by 56's on videos and thought would i love to be standing by trackside.OH YEAH.Have subbed.
Thanks very much, Peter. I'm glad you enjoyed. The good days, when it comes to the weather, are always few and far between - but I do my best to avoid the wind and rain.
I don,t know much about engines but to me what look what I think are Deltics I thought where obsolete are they still used by the rail ways ?. one had a old B R lions logo on it.
Great footage; too bad you got doubled on a couple of shots, but that's life when you're out filming. I don't know when the various film clips were made, but it seemed that class 66 locos bore the brunt of freight traffic while class 37 locos hauled most of the passenger trains. Some freight trains were pathetically short; that's hardly an economical way to run a railway! What impressed me most about this film were two things important to true rail-fans: [1] you filmed the whole train instead of just the locos (with only two exceptions, both involving very slow-moving trains); [2] you left the camera alone and carefully avoided typical bad habits of over-eager film-buffs such as repeatedly zooming in and out and trying to swing the camera around once the locos passed in an attempt to capture the rest of the train receding from the camera position.
Maybe next time you can help ID the different kinds of rolling stock on these trains, someone earlier made a comment about the locomotives and how ugly they are,I think they're cool and different, they didn't make them to be cute.
Really impressive filming and some fantastic shots of those power locos. I've subb'd and hope to watch a lot more of your videos. Please feel free to check out and sub to my 00 gauge layout channel, Dean Park Station..which will also be featured in Hornby Magazine in the autumn. Cheers and keep up the cracking filming! Dave
Cheers Kyle, awesome footage at 6:37 with three trains in one shot. Great work!
Thank you.

Niall Farrell Sandite working with Class 20s providing haulage.
7:25 what a gem!
Many thanks. It's all good stuff, but I especially like the clips around Selby (old home town) and the NYMR. Quite excellent with no music...just the straight goods. Well done.
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed. Selby is relatively local to me, so I visit on a frequent basis.

Nice bit of bowling in the opening shot! :D And a nicely timed cross at 6:29.

Great video loved the older classes at the end

Super sound and pictures very well done Kyle Law !
Thank you.
The convoy lead by 66749 must have been going too or coming from Wensleydale if I'm not mistaken Kyle.
Cheers Kyle.
Thanks for watching. Yes, indeed it was going to the Wensleydale Railway.
I like the little 0-4-0 Plasmor shunter!
Thanks for watching.

Kyle, what equipment do you use. The quality of both sound and vision is excellent
Panasonic HC-V770 is my camcorder. The sound is recorded utilising the internal microphone.
Thanks for the info Kyle. I'll add one to my Christmas list :)
Enjoyed your video Kyle, great subject variety, always clear and steady. How do you book the good weather? Keep up the good work...Ragards...Peter

Enjoyed the video. Was the engine at Church Streton with DB on it a German?
Thank you. This was a DB Class 60 locomotive at Church Fenton.
Plenty of variety Kyle, also rating the thumbnail quite high!
Thanks for watching. The thumbnail isn't bad, I suppose. ;)
A 1:27, what was at the end of the train?
I don,t know much about engines but to me what look what I think are Deltics I thought where obsolete are they still used by the rail ways ?. one had a old B R lions logo on it.
Anyone know what the tank tainer train at 21:00 was going right to left?
