Probably the prettiest looking guitar I've seen, also I could listen to those beautiful clean tones for hours, definitely getting one ASAP. The story of how you acquired this piece was also a cool addition to the review for sure🤘

Thanks I’m really glad you enjoyed this! And yes it’s a very pretty guitar indeed! If you like those tones here’s about 50mins worth of me noodling round with the ambient one: ua-cam.com/video/CrudVjyTR-8/v-deo.html

Hey man this was an amazing video. I really appreciate you talking about how you got the guitar and where you were at emotionally at that time. I found myself in a similar situation when I bought my white Gus G Jackson js32 (I'm a sucker for white pointy guitars too). Sorry to hear about the little ding you got on your LTD. Happens to us all! As long as we're playing our guitars and making art I think that's what matters. I never much have cared for the "it adds character" viewpoint either, but smacking the guitar is inevitable. I did it to my white Gus G and was pretty bummed out too haha. Anyway, I really loved your third clean tone with the delay on it. Absolutely stunning and it reminded me a lot of the band counterparts. Thanks for taking the time to make the video. I really like getting to hear about your guitars and I can see how special they all are to you.

Wow thanks for the supportive and kind words. - I’m made up that you enjoyed this one as I had a lot of fun making it.
And yes, like I said In the vid, there’s nothing worse than boring clean tones so I find it really important to try and come up with ones that make you want to play just as much as a good distortion would!

Probably my favorite guitars in my collection are my four Schecter guitars. I’ll always be a Schecter fan personally I have two with Floyds and two without.
My two go to guitars are my blue right handed C-1 platinum and my left handed blackjack SLS
Then my Floyd guitar I have a right handed black Demon-6FR and a left handed Omen Extreme-FR
Because I know the question will come up. I’m naturally ambidextrous so doing doing things both ways is hardwired in my brain. I’ve played both sides since I started playing, drive my first guitar teacher nuts. Played for around 12 to 13 years or so now

Wow what a talent and skill to have! Those guitars sound great too - always best to have the best of both worlds with bridges imo

@@nihilist92 thanks man! And yeah I definitely agree, I don’t use Floyds very often but still nice to have them. Plus the two Floyd guitars also have killer sounds as well as my two fixed bridges

Hey dude. I watching a vid the other day on a reveiw for a Edwards esp explorer. It was a company set up in Japan to carry on making the gibson shape and get round being sued but only in Japan. Also they are reasonable price

Hey man, yeah I’ve seen a few Edwards and Grassroots explorers online every now and then! The only problem I’ve got with most of them is that they’re mostly bold on construction as opposed to set necks etc.

@@nihilist92 I noticed in the vid I linked. That one looks like they copied the banana headstock. I never noticed a bolt on one. I did see some are loaded with Seymour Duncan's

hey man completely not on topic to your vid .. i re stringed my gat but i get frett buzz from 12th frett and above on A,D,G,B strings , around 12th - 16th frett, any ideas ?

You probably need a set up. Could be a few things: truss rod adjustment, saddle height. I’d take it to a luthier/shop that does setups and get it looked at.

Thank you for this. I’m a lead player and I can’t find many reviews that help me out. Mostly guys playing Hets riffage. So how’s the reach playing up closer to the neck joint?

    • @nihilist92
      @nihilist92  2 роки тому +1

No worries and I hope it helped! As far as climbing the neck goes things to get a little tight towards the top but I guess it’s an preference thing and what each individual is willing to work with. I’ve seen so many ‘shredders’ swear by Les pauls who manage to get up there when there’s hardly any access at all! So yeah it’s down to the individual I think. I put out a little short of me playing Randys Crazy Train solo yesterday which goes pretty high up so I’ll Leave a link here so you can see for yourself what it’s like: ua-cam.com/video/fLgeW8-O8H4/v-deo.html

Dude, thanks for that. Yeah great solo to gauge access, I’ll check that out. And as for Les Pauls I gave those up long ago. I’m one who couldn’t make that neck joint work. I’m usually on a Jim Root Tele or Schecter Mach 6 but I’m jonesing for an offset and this one screams mean.
